Real Madrid have sucked up the city pressure well and now playing comfortably on their home turf, and I must admit the citizens looked like they were in control in the early minutes of the game, but this turned around quickly  and put Real Madrid ahead thanks to a beautiful  shot from Vinicius Jr and it will be difficult to put them out of the competition with how they are now playing.

Dejavu about to strike again,and we havent  heard much from Halaad either...tough game.

I think it's bad to keep Manchester City in control of the game because that could actually increase their chances of scoring. I know Vinicius managed to beat Ederson's goal with one accurate shot during the first half, yes, 1 shot 1 goal for Real Madrid. So far we have only relied on Courtois' performance because I saw Manchester City find chances throughout the first half. I hope Real Madrid's defense can get better in the second half and they get better in attack.

This 1-0 advantage made Real Madrid comfortable to start the second half, but I'm worried because if the defense is not good then Real Madrid will concede in the second half. The first half belonged entirely to Manchester City, but Real Madrid won.

the first half of Real Madrid vs Manchester City had just ended and unexpectedly Real Madrid was able to lead by 1 goal even though Manchester City fully controlled the course of this match in the first round.
manchester city has a 70% ballposition advantage and continues to imprison Real Madrid's defense and the Real Madrid team really shows their mentality, I really think this is a very extraordinary match.
in the second half I think the game of the two teams will be more open and it is very possible that there will be another goal in the second half later, this will be very interesting to look forward to.

As we can see, Manchester City dominated the match and they often attacked repeatedly, but Courtois' appearance is beyond doubt, he made 4 saves from attempted shoots on target by Manchester City players. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, which only counterattacked once, was able to produce 1 goal in the meantime and this goal was scored by Vini Jr.

The game will be more exciting for sure in the second half and we will still be waiting for surprises from these two teams. Winning 1 goal while not fully keeping Real Madrid safe, they had to score more goals to secure the first leg victory and Manchester City seemed to have lost its soul after conceding that goal.

Manchester City started the match really dominant and the statistics were really insane as well. Real Madrid were able to try to do something only by counter-attacks. But despite this look the same Real Madrid got ahead first with a really lovely goal by Vinicius Junior. It was a pretty impressive shot that Ederson had a big difficulty in that moment against it. I'm happy to see a goal in the first half but I wish it came from Manchester City side.

If this happened in my FM career I would have definitely reprimanded the players about how they could let this happen after that dominance. I hope Guardiola can prepare them well for the second half because we didn't see so many absolute goal chances by their side. The opportunities Haaland found were wasted easily also. I hope to see a better effort than him this time. Even a draw would be enough for Manchester City to finish the job in Etihad in my opinion.

They have been passionate from the start of the kick of until the 25th minute. but Madrid are also aware that they don't want to let their guard down and concede the ball just like that.

Real Madrid's defence has done well in this first half, most especially Eduardo Camavinga who has made many important touches including the assist that has led to Real Madrid's one goal advantage with their first attempt on target. Manchester City have met their match and they are will have to take things more carefully in the second half to avoid more goals. Manchester City's target now will be to try to get an equaliser or try to make sure that Real Madrid don't score more goals that will make the second leg more difficult.

Vinicius played a very nice shot which Manchester city goal keeper couldn’t save, I think the goal keeper wasn’t expecting the shot from that distance. Real Madrid have been playing dangerous games but they are been favored, it’s better Real Madrid works on their defense but they shouldn’t play a defensive game with Manchester city, they will definitely look for ways to secure goals, Real Madrid shouldn’t be to confident with their one goal lead.

It’s better Real Madrid are not comfortable with just 1 goal difference, this is just the first half and Manchester City was In control of the match in first half, if second half can continue like this, don’t be surprise Manchester city will equalize in second half of the match, Manchester city performance wasn’t bad in the first half, so Real Madrid shouldn’t be comfortable, they still need to score more goals, but from my prediction, Manchester city might end up scoring in second half of the match.

I saw the marvelous goal scored be Vinicius to put his club on the lead. Football is not about gaining ball possession but scoring goals.

I admit that Vinicius really made the difference in the first half. Real Madrid failed to develop the game like they usually do, but that's not a problem as long as we score goals. I expect them to play well not just score goals, even if Madrid win in this way but that's not what I expect from them.

Thibaut Courtois has been the best defensive wall for Real Madrid so far, but I really believe he will conceded in the end. Manchester City had many chances, but of course Thibaut Courtois saved the finish. The match is really getting more and more interesting and I hope Manchester City can find a solution to score goals.

I never expected this game to be this way. I was sure Manchester City will enjoy a convincing win but it's clear now that I was wrong. The city has been in top form and Real has been recently inconsistent in their local leagues respectively. But it seems that coach Ancelleti is a skillful coach. He has been able to curtail the attacking power of the City and has utilized the only clear opportunity they had. Antonio Rüdiger, Carvajal, and the entire Real defense have been splendid. The transfer of players like Rudiger might have contributed to the downfall of Chelsea.

They were just unlucky, but if Real Madrid sloppy in defense then Manchester City could score a couple of goals in the second half.

What a magnificent goal from De Bruyne on the 67th minites to equalise the game for his side. It was a good second half for city as they were able to put themselves back into the game,after the first half. Manchester city really tried their best in this match because all the players played 90mins with no substitute.

Real Madrid also tried in creating chances but it wasn't easy for them to score the second time,since their tactics didn't give them a win. The game is still open for both teams to have the opportunity to qualify to the finals during the second leg that will be played in Etihad stadium. That game will determine the winner, I just hope that the second leg wouldn't end up to be a penalty shoot out because both clubs are very strong. Real Madrid can win anywhere,either at home or away.
