I think there is an incredible difference compared to last year. Barcelona has a team that has played much more successful matches than last year. This year they are at the top of La Liga for now, but Real Madrid is following them like a shadow. They seem like they will take the lead from them at the slightest snag. In the European league, their rivals are the toughest team. They drew the hardest draw and were unlucky in that regard. If they overcome the Manchester United obstacle, they can easily go to the final.

I also think there is  much more significant difference and improvement in the team's performance this season. It was a disaster in the previous season, thanks to Xavi who has managed to revive the team's performance and put them at a better performance level this season. If they can defeat Manchester United in the Europa league playoffs it will be a massive boost to the team's confidence going further.

Compared to Barcelona's performances in the last two seasons, Barcelona are much more organized and strong this season. They now have the ability to perform well against any team and win. However, their performance is not stable enough. To win the Europa League or La League title, Barcelona must be more stable and perform consistently. If the performance is not consistent, it is impossible to become champions. Barcelona's main weakness right now is their defence. If Xavi can strengthen his defense I think he can win the Europa League and La Liga title.

Without looking at other things, actually new players will be very good. Actually there are still several players who can be pulled forward apart from Nketiah because Martineli can still do it but of course this is still a bit risky because this will affect when the all-round players can be pulled forward but the position is abandoned it will obviously be a risk and there will definitely be a bit the difference if not a pure striker made an option there.

If Nketiah is the answer to Arsenal's current needs, I'm sure Arteta won't bother looking into a centre-forward option as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus who is ruled out through injury. as you said, Arsenal could have taken an internal solution by relying on Eddie Nketiah as the main striker. or, rotating Martinelli as a centre-forward. what is certain, Arteta can explore the potential of the available players.

I would guess that him being injury prone shouldn't matter for a short span of time. They need him until Jesus is back and that means if they could keep him uninjured just until Jesus comes back that should be fine, he could get hurt later on if he has to, but just need him healthy for a few months at tops I think, Jesus should be back after that.

I am guessing they are scrambling around to find a solution to their problem, they are doing so great so far and need to figure out a way to keep being great otherwise they will throw away a whole season where they are doing so greatly, which means it's not going to be that much of an easy thing to replace him.

You know there real test is the big games but Barca have yet to shown a glimpse of quality to compete with these clubs when they go against them. They are currently the league leaders but they need to up there game against big club.
