It is going to be really disappointing to see one of the biggest favourites of the Europa League being eliminated already. Barcelona and Manchester United should have faced each other in the later stages of the tournament. However it is good for us at the same time. Because the Europa League is going to be back with an amazing matchup which is like a finale.

It is quite difficult to be sure of anything about a side to advance for now. We should see how these teams will perform after this break first. Maybe one of the sides won't be able to continue from where they left off.

Many regretted this, as Manchester United and Barcelona were thought to be more attractive if they met at the end of the competition, but it was the draw that came out that they had to play now in the play offs. It won't be easy for us to predict who will qualify for the next round, because apart from these two teams being big teams, they also have some weaknesses and strengths that are very visible this season.

Is not it good for another player like depay to show if he still has potential for barcelona? i saw that as an opportunity for him although lewandowski was top scorer in la liga but it doesn't mean if depay was bad. I don't think Memphis Depay is bad, it's just that during this season he has rarely been included in the starting line-up because Lewandowski has filled that position. When defending the Netherlands at the 2022 world cup he did quite well and scored goals. Maybe here is the lack of playing minutes that will make everyone doubt if Barcelona chooses Depay as an option to replace Lewandowski in the main attack line. But I don't see that bad in Depay, he will still be good and offensive when needed.

Memphis Depay is one of the best strikers in currently in La Liga and agreed about his lack or playing time which is surely hurting because he needs more opportunities but due to arrival of Robert Lewandowski it's not coming with most chances Barcelona will also try to sell him in coming January transfer window but now things looking favourable for him in absence of first choice striker's injury which is good and most chances he will try his best for giving results and having better things about his future his performance in world cup was also good which helps Netherlands for having better results but now hopefully he will do again if Barcelona give him better time of playing.

The statistic said yeah barcelona is far above MU in any aspect but when we will see the reality and then statistic didn't matter a lot. It's caused by there are many aspects that will be determining the result from the match. Yes, the meeting of such teams at such an early stage is in general almost a "mini-final", but on the other hand will be less predictable other stages and the less strong teams will have a chance to at least reach the finals.
Last match against Nottingham Forest Manchester United played very well, dominating the whole game, almost no chance for Nottingham.

Memphis Depay is not a bad player, but he is not so good either, he is kind of an ordinary player. He didn't score goals in the 2022 world cup, he scored only one goal, and that was against USA in the round of 16. He is rarely in the starting line-up this season because Barcelona bought many players that are better than him last summer, and Xavi no longer needs him as an important player in the team. I feel Depay should move to another team as soon as possible, if he stays in Barcelona he will only play when there are injuries to first team players, or when the match is not so important to Barcelona.

Depay is not a bad choice to replace Lewandowski in the striker role for the games Lewandowski will be out. Delay is a good attacker too and can score good goals so I see this as an opportunity for him to show Xavi what qualities he also has and fight to earn Xavi's trust again, maybe just maybe is he can come through in this games he might as well seal a spot for himself in the starting eleven for Xavi's team.

Maybe, what @koang meant was Man United's performance and Barcelona's performance. so I guess, that he put in terms of comparison for this season. especially when he refers to United's performances, since the first game this season. there is nothing wrong, I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Ronaldo has gotten to a stage in his career were he is not able to perform the way he used to when he was at the peak of his career. He has only managed to score just a few goals and few in the world cup too and It is so sad to conclude we are gradually seeing the end of the Ronaldo era. The Saudi league will be a less difficult league for him to flourish but there will be no glory in that and Ronaldo is all about proving himself as the greatest player in the world.
