Agree. Simple fact: winning the Europa League while losing La Liga to Real Madrid will be a losing season. Winning La Liga while losing the Europa League at the very early stage (at 1/16 lol) will be a triumph. The priorities are obvious, I even think Xavi would be happy if Barcelona lost to United and he could fully concentrate on La Liga, but of course the circumstances (status) will not allow him to lose this confrontation on purpose.

I don't think Barcelona will care if they are eliminated by United, they will surely want to win but their focus is on the La Liga, they are top of the La Liga and they just beat real madrid to win the Supercopa, so if they didn't believe before, now they believe that they can win the La Liga from real madrid, and that is the big trophy they want. If the Europa league would be a distraction to them if they go far in it, then it is better they are eliminated by United early. Manchester United have been playing well in the premier league too, but they are not the favorites for it, but in the La Liga barcelona are favorites.

If Manchester United win Barcelona I don't think Barcelona will have much worried if they don't perform well in the Europa league.  What Barcelona is interesting and desperate to get is to win laliga. If Barcelona lose it is nothing to them .

Both are good and have good history in domestic and UEFA so if Manchester United won surely this could be good for them and Barcelona will try to manage things in positive way for the La Liga trophy because currently their main focus is this which will help them for having better strategy for the future but right now any prediction is surely not going to have any positive impact because we have very long way to go and both will surely try to avoid further injuries or any off the field issues because these both are having new units which need more time for development and giving better results for the end of this season.

Because while Barcelona are improving their performance Manchester United aren't just watching these days. Manchester United have made a big progress in the English Premier League recently and maybe it could be even a bigger one than Barcelona's.

EL is often unpredictable, you are right, there are various reasons for this, lack of motivation, or lower priorities over other tournaments. Therefore, it will be very difficult to predict who can be stronger Barcelona or Manchester United until we see the first game. Let's compare the Super Cup competition with the Europa League, it's impossible that Barcelona don't care about the Europa League trophy. I also have no doubt about this Xavi is having first priority in La Liga because if they are able to win this definitely it would be good for them as in next season they can do better with confidence and having something to cheer as well.

If Barcelona is able to hold onto their good form, I am pretty sure that they have a really good chance of winning the league because the Real Madrid defense is struggling in recent times which could be a big matter that Barcelona can exploit.

Barcelona's main goal is to win the La Liga title. Barcelona could not win the La Liga title in the last three seasons. Now they desperately need this title. Barcelona management spent a lot of money to strengthen the team. And now they are quite stable with the help of Xavi. And so now they need the La Liga title more than the Europa League title. Both have been rising up since they have gained their best form. That has become the hardest situation where you will not able to predict the result from the match. Barcelona has been defeating real madrid while MU was making the same thing to the Manchester city.
City and madrid have become main candidate in UCL. It looks very good to see that if MU and barcelona will be giving us a very attractive game for sure. Barcelona has come back with its tiki taka while MU will be using full counter attack to prevent barcelona.

I agree.The performance of Barcelona in the Supercup was a real great one and it was against one of the best teams not only in La Liga but also in the world which is Real Madrid.Barcelona completely dominated the game and deserved to win the cup however this does not assure that they are going to qualify further against Manchester United,sure it has much higher chances but it is not a sure thing.It is not a sure thing because Manchester United lately is on fire in the Premier League even winning the last derby against Manchester City to continue their winning streak,so for me is 65-35%,65% for Barcelona and 35% for Manchester United to qualify further.

IMO, I'm not a fan of The Red Devils. but looking at United's current track record, they appear to be showing a very positive trend. Manchester United are on fire and after a crisis with Ole Solskajer and Ragnick, they slowly recovered with Ten Hag. They are not perfect now but are competitive enough to beat many clubs. Their sentiment is so good temporarily and they can bring this sentiment as well as good form to Europa League. Barcelona is a first barrier for United to aim at Europa League crown.

Rashford is never good for a striker position and he is more dangerous at swings when he don't have to fight with too strong central defenders and can have space to exploit opponent defense with his high speed and good skills for dribble.

If Ten Hag can successfully help Sancho to play better and reclaim his best, Manchester United will have too powerful and dangerous swings with Rashford and Sancho. In middle, they have a very creative player Bruno Fernandez.

It's his job to get trophies, but not all will come just the way he desires. It's good for him to work to get both trophies but will be possible if his workforce is x2 that of his contenders because the way I see it, Manchester united presently is too good to think that they will lose to Barcelona. Real Madrid is not far from Xavi in the La Liga table, a three-point difference is not good enough to conclude. Xavi needs to gather much more wins to stand a better chance.

National cups, super cups, the World Club Championship and everything else that is there is all nonsense. The only important tournaments are the national championship and the Champions League (for the top clubs). Everything else is just an option to talk about treble, quadruple, etc. I'm sure Xavi understands this and the Super Cup they won yesterday, like the Europa League, is just a nice option but not the main goal. Therefore, if he could, he would sacrifice unimportant tournaments for important ones, but with such a loud sign (game against United), he does not have the opportunity to do this.
