My guess is that people are anticipating this to happen again after the Coldcard vulnerability left hackers with 1596 BTC.
I can almost guarantee this is going to happen with lightning network in near future.
It could also happen with other bitcoin projects and bridges that swap BTC with other chains.

I do wonder why it's doing so well recently. Hopefully it's honest market sentiment and not just some
It's probably just another speculation move from traders.
I do however see more people actually using monero to purchase things.
Well I certainly hope LN doesn't get exploited with AI, because we have a nice Lightning Network Node running as part of OrangeFren.com Cheesy
Some of you even bought a channel from us on Amboss's Magma. I don't know about most BTC bridges, but I did see Boltz went offline pre-emptively not long ago. Looks like Boltz just issued a statement about it too

Honestly Monero tx count is very stable and very low compared to Bitcoin

What makes swappers successful?

One of the exchanges we list asked us to calculate how different service attributes influence how much traffic they receive. We ran the numbers, here's the correlations from strongest correlation with volume to weakest:

I'm quite surprised that being never-KYC has the weakest correlation. It's r-score is +0.008, so nothing really.

These correlations are using data from 2026 only.

Three Unique Services

Sometimes the services we list on OrangeFren.com can seem very similar, but here's 3⃣ with unique features👇

Bitania has a no-KYC orderbook CEX allowing you to trade AVAX, BTC, ETH, LTC, TRX and XMR. They also have a P2P marketplace for fiat<>crypto

👉Bitania.com

BitcoinVN allows you to provide liquidity to their pools of USD, XMR, WBTC, ZEC & more to earn trading fees. Their XMR pool pays 24% APR

👉BitcoinVN.io

WizardSwap has an invite-only liquidity providing system allowing you to provide BTC, LTC, ETH, XMR, ZEC, BCH & more to earn trading fees no just from WizardSwap, but also from BasicSwapDEX

👉WizardSwap.io

XMRBTC pump continues

🚀 XMRBTC shows no signs of slowing

Monero has now appreciated by OVER 30% against Bitcoin in 2026

If you held Monero you beat Bitcoin by:
+1.55% in a day
+10.54% in a week
+26.35% in a month
+33.74% in 6 months
+30.13% in 2026
+213.45% in a year
+11.75% in 5 years

Swap with OrangeFren.com 🧡. The first Monero aggregator & holding >2 BTC in escrow

Trêvoid - now on OrangeFren.com

Trêvoid has been added to OrangeFren.com and even participates in the OrangeFren Guarantee. Just make sure to save the letter-of-guarantee if you intend on making a claim against Trêvoid.

Trêvoid was added by way of linking to a special SimpleX profile he made just for our users.

Grok's Monero censorship

For a while now Twitter's Grok no longer responds to Tweet its mentioned in (example). However, it has no problem mentioning Monero in its own responses (example).

This leads us to believe that Grok itself isn't censored, but whatever function feeds it Tweets is. Something along the lines of:

True, but we can decide to hide a review
One aggregator, much older and very famous, had a similar policy. Hiding or removing negative user feedback to avoid upsetting partners (exchangers).
They are still working, but it seems that their reputation is quite damaged.

🫶 Some services we love and use daily:

- Amboss Magma
- BitBanana
- PayPerQ
- Monfluo wallet
- Silentlink
- VostoEmisio

and of course our own Intercambio SimpleX Bot🤖

⚡️Magma from Amboss.space is a marketplace to buy & sell Lightning channels. Almost all channels to our LN node were either bought from us on Magma or bought with XMR and the counterparty knew we sell channels from Magma🌋

🍌When you have your own Lightning node you need a way to control it remotely. For years we've been using BitBanana. It's super simple and fast

🤖 PayPerQ allows you to use virtually any AI model without a subscription or sharing your identity. They accept Bitcoin, Lightning, Monero

We use it daily as do thousands of our users

🔶 If you need a super simple, yet fully functional, Monero wallet with a blazingly fast and responsive UI then give Monfluo a try

📶Need an anonymous eSIM paid for with Bitcoin, Lightning or Monero? We use Silent.link and it never disappointed

The SIMs are prepaid so your balance is charged as you use it. It never expires and works worldwide

👉https://silent.link/?ref=orangefren ($2 off with our link)

🎨We often need various graphics. Maybe you do too. Vosto Emisio made our logo and all the pretty graphics we post. They're also behind MoneroKon's entire visual identity

Naturally, they take Monero

🥸 If you want to conduct swaps with maximum privacy give our SimpleX Chat bot a try. It's the first trading bot to ever ship to SimpleX users and allows you to use the exchanges from Intercambio.app with great privacy

👉https://simplex.chat/contact/#/?v=2-7&smp=smp%3A%2F%2Fu2dS9sG8nMNURyZwqASV4yROM28Er0luVTx5X1CsMrU%3D%40smp4.simplex.im%2FPumr2wT-zXjmXHAl0sSjRDTVir2En6Rm%23%2F%3Fv%3D1-3%26dh%3DMCowBQYDK2VuAyEA3OMCVdK1KNYZpx_iKT3gJ11eVrm-6PG5yYQ1RVz_yis%253D%26srv%3Do5vmywmrnaxalvz6wi3zicyftgio6psuvyniis6gco6bp6ekl4cqj4id.onion

Honorable mention and a Bitcointalk exclusive - Talkimg.com

We've only been using TalkImg to host all the images we post on BTT for years and sponsored it for many months Smiley Currently they're sponsored by our friends from WizardSwap.

This sounds interesting since we can pay with bitcoin or monero, especially if we can use this service without creating account or registration.
I am bookmarking ppq.ai website and I will test it later, but I see they also have free model for getting started.

Mystery Swapper

🚨 WARNING: SplitNOW are (double!) cheats

We just wrapped up a round of "mystery swapper" tests for all the services we list on OrangeFren.com and included SplitNOW as they're heavily promoted across socials. For instance the owner of the site XMRHub heavily promotes them.

Their UI showed we’d receive 0.001549 BTC (status: 100% done), but only 0.001514 BTC actually arrived — that’s ~2.3% less than their own displayed amount, and ~7.8% below their initial quote. On-chain proof captured. No market move explains it; they simply pay less than they show.

Don’t use SplitNOW!!

Full results:

After adjusting for how the market moved all except NanSwap, Quickex and of course SplitNOW paid more than their initial promise.

For your viewing pleasure, here's a table showing what fee the swapper actually charged

  • PegasusSwap, Exolix, 0trace ex aequo - all free
  • SplitNOW is daytime robbery

Two disclaimers: firstly we did swaps using our own links, secondly table to summarise results was made with AI Smiley

Some time ago, i was confused what this withdraw address pop-up means. With example BTC to XMR, is it right to assume i should enter my BTC address for refund in case the swap/exchange process failed?

Oh, I didn't realise this was confusing. Will fix. No. Enter the XMR address and we'll make a swap to it and redirect you straight to it.

Now I'm curious if this is a one-time inconsistancy, or that it can be reproduced (for instance when the market moves up instead of down).

I think we'll make the "mystery swapper" a regular, monthly, test.

My working hypothesis is NanSwap isn't great, because as the name suggests they're mostly about Nano. The other currencies they just resell from ChangeNow, last time I checked. Also they undersold by a very small margin all things considered. Could be explained by sourcing the rates elsewhere.

As for Quickex, they displayed "150 confs required" for the XMR deposit, but processed the swap after just 11 or 12. Maybe they're just buggy? Regardless, they clearly don't use their own service an awful lot with omissions this big.

SplitNOW is simply a scam. I presume their business model is rip-off users with 8% fees then funnel half of that to their influencer affiliates that push this scam down the throat of users that don't know any better.

Hey! Displaying 150 confirmations on the interface was indeed a UI bug on our end, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

To clarify, we've recently launched our own liquidity. For XMR, we currently require only 10 confirmations, and average swap times are around 15 minutes. We are gradually increasing our volume limits purely as a security precaution—the current fast-processing limit is set to 10 XMR.

Best rates for XMR. Private swaps are available now. Get cashback and become VIP.

Cool! 10 XMR is >$4k currently.

When XMR blocks are every 2 minutes... Shouldn't the average be 20 minutes? Smiley

The 15-minute average is actually pulled directly from our real operational stats for XMR to USDT (TRC-20) swaps!

10 confirmations is the maximum required when processing through our own liquidity. Depending on the transaction parameters, it can be less. That's why the real-world standard cycle consistently lands around 15 minutes.
