I just hope that Romania wins the match against Netherlands. They are one of the few remaining teams from Eastern Europe, as once again Western and Southern European nations are dominating the tournament. And they performed really well during the group stage. Managed to finish at the top of Group E, ahead of teams such as Belgium, Slovakia and Ukraine. Their only loss in the tournament so far came against Belgium, when two goals from Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne handed them a loss in the group phase game.

Even though Slovenia are clearly the underdogs in their match against Portugal yesterday, but the players of Slovenia still fought bravely against Portugal and even managed to force the game into a penalties shootout but Portugal is still clearly the better team to progress to play against France in the quarter finals.

Netherlands are quite lucky to progress to the round of 16 via the ranking of third placed teams as they only managed to finish at the 3rd spot in Group D. Their luck are still looking great as they will play against Romania and I think Netherlands should be able to beat Romania without the need to go into extra time today.

Slovenia spent almost all match it in defense, against Portugal this was expected, but it is worth noting that Slovenia played very well in defense and Oblak was very good. I agree that the Netherlands were lucky with their opponent, despite leaving the group in third place, which should mean a more difficult opponent, but it so happened that I think this will be an easy match for the Netherlands. To be honest, yesterday's matches were very tough, is not that the teams played well but they tried their best to win and secure a spot in another round of the tournament if I was told you that Portugal would suffer yesterday before winning Slovenia I would not believe because Portugal has good players and players that have big names in the squad, Portugal has players but those players are not that good to create a chance to score goals, look at the way Portugal players are moving with the ball, the wing’s players are not good to dribble and create a chance, and that is one of the main reasons why Portugal find it difficult to win the match.

After Ronaldo missed a penalty many people shouted that Ronaldo is not a good player, although we all know that Ronaldo is getting old when it comes to penalty play Ronaldo is the best, no player can not miss a penalty, even the young players this day miss a penalty so I don’t see any wrong with Ronaldo missing a penalty, all thanks to the goalkeeper Diogo costa that save the penalty shootout against Slovenia and allow Portugal to qualify to the quarter-final of the tournament.

A good game of football was played in the previous match between Slovenia and Portugal the way Slovenia took the match into Penalty Shoutout is simply amazing. Good football was played by both teams but CR7 is not doing well in this Euro goalless in group matches and missed the penalty in the last minutes as well. The keeper of Portugal stood tall in a last-minute chance for Slovenia to score because of Pepe's mistake in clearance but the keeper stopped it alone and then in Penalty Shootout they stopped 3 out of 3 penalties and secured their place in Quarters.

Pepe at the age of 41 played almost 120 minutes he was very weak if Pepe's mistake was not well anticipated by Diogo Costa this might be the regret of his life in his last career with Portugal, as well as Ronaldo who failed to execute the Penalty he just cried because he felt failed.
