Waiting for DOTA tomorrow before I send in picks. Usually don't care but my last DOTA question contained a big loser as I didn't wait heh.

That also cost me a round the last time but not again, I'm not sure I would the entire way though because of the slight chance that I might miss the deadline, since I'm likely to be away from my device for a while.

I got a reality check from a pick I was about to go blindly with, they looked like a real deal before but now, not so much. Tossing my picks in now, I'd just call in my VAR if there is some major swing.

I pulled the trigger after Pari won (that actually wouldn't have changed my Pari pick, they were almost assured of top seed anyway) but I wanted to see if I should put my support behind BB. That match decided it. Only, if I could have waited another round to see if Tundra passed (they didn't), but I also didn't want to miss the deadline. Glad they just beat Chimera though, so I'm happy I went for them -- they still meet Spirit so it's all about that match I think.

You're talking about BB aren't you? Or Liquid? They certainly seem a shadow of themselves. I went for them blindly all the time until recently.

I think they started out quite noisy, but they've promoted. Luckily demotion also ensures the active chatters come to Div3. Div1 also has some notably QUIET people. leea stands out for me, Ulven in the pools, almost never post and just ripping up the script with us big mouths.

I knew he had some tooth problem when I researched for it but didnt expect that he will miss the game just because of that. I should have put No in the first place when I read about his tooth problem

Same here, but I kinda counted on that. Real has 2 consecutive CL weeks, even if he was fully fit I'd expect him to be benched.
They are saying he had some kind of tooth pain, but he's probably just being rested.

Ulven is banned from the forum so it is sort of understandable why he doesn't post  leea also informed me quite a long time ago that he will take step back from the forum, he just plays all the pools but doesn't have the time or the will for the forums.

Also some other people can't use bitcointalk due to bans, evil fees and what not. Some of them come to my chat so you can meet them there while some are just quiet by choice. And some are proper bastards like vd309, he is not talking to us often and just redirecting his energy to correct picks while we bicker around here and then look at his back all season, every season  Slow down man if you are reading this.

That was an amazing game of football between Barcelona and Atletico, some of the best matches this season, a shame Barcelona did not win, but my opponent thought they would too, so no points lost.

With Mbappe not in the squad for Real, that is a point for me in question 7 as that is the only different choice we got on that one.

Our duel have started off interestingly to say the least, you were supposed to have a good head start, with Arsenal failing to score against Nottingham Forest, but thanks to Mbappe's omission from the Real Madrid Copa Del Rey squad, I'm back on level terms.

Now, we have just 2 question differences left and I strongly think I like my chances with those questions, hopefully I don't jinx it.

Yes it was a nice comeback. I didn't feel too bad about my answers to the later questions, but making up for a 0-2 never is easy. But I have to add that late goals recently didn't benefit me at all. A win would have been nice after being down and the Aston Villa - Chelsea match was very close to a draw as it couldn't have been more equal than that. Could have gone either way though, but in a three-way situation, the late goal once again benefitted my opponent. That's how this season is supposed to go for me so far.

Was the easiest pick for me in BSFL this week. NFO and Arsenal are top defenses and Arsenal has a lot of injuries in attack as well. Picked them correct here, picked them correct 0:0 in PL pool, picked no goals Majestic 7 and picked draw on Sportsbet jackpot. If only there were more games I get to read as good as this.

Unfortunately for me Jayce and I have the same picks for the Dota 2 question, when I was already feeling confident about my choices, perhaps I should have gone for Paravision to win the whole thing not Tundra Esports.

Arsenal are completely depleted offensively but it's still a really tough ask to expect them not to score a goal, if the clause in the question didn't and it was the usual "Not to lose, goals don't matter", I'm pretty sure more people would have gone for it, myself inclusive. That's the second game in a row that Arsenal have failed to score, wow!

The problem with this is that sometimes a goal comes from a deflection, set piece, spectacular out of the box shot etc.
This game had it all again - Calafiori's post early in the 1st half that would have opened the game if it went in and Tierney's header that went slightly off target from a set piece.

No matter the injuries, Arsenal not to score isn't a bet I'd ever feel safe taking. Especially against a Forest defence that was fantastic early on but recently conceded 4 against Newcastle, 2 against Fulham, Exeter and Southampton and 5 against Bournemouth.
Before yesterday, they had 1 clean sheet in the last 7 games.

Predicting Forest not to lose but no BTTS really sucks.    I guess I expected too much there. Arsenal can't score easily with their injuries. Forest also had a poor game. Still 0-0 against my competitor after 3 questions...

I was able to get a point with him not playing and to be honest, I didn’t see anything about any injury when I was checking and this seem more like a rest given the number of matches he’s played recently, all the sources I checked when he wasn’t listed have his absence ruled as “Rest”. My decision to go with a No was because I felt he’d need to cool down after a good run in the past few weeks.
