It makes sense to add more teams to leagues such as IPL, which generates revenue of more than $1 billion per year. But the revenue generation from PSL is less than 1/10th of that amount. If you increase the number of teams, then what happens is that the sponsorship money and the player fee will get diluted. Previously, the player fee need to be paid for 90 players (assuming 15 players per team), but if the league gets expanded to 8 teams, then 120 players need to be paid. Average salaries may go down, and many of the big players may move out of the PSL.

PCB will add two more teams in PSL 2026 and that will make it a tournament of eight teams. The tenth edition of PSL will be the last one in which six teams will participate. PSL has done fairly well so far, keeping in view the circumstances in which it was initially launched in UAE and subsequently moved to Pakistan. No league can compete with IPL which is the biggest league so far. India has population of 1.5 billion where people are crazy for cricket while not same craze is seen in Pakistan. Big names prefer to play IPL over other leagues like PSL because of fee they get from IPL.

Well it's quite significant news for pakistani cricket fan and new talent boys because it will extend new player chances to play here, as due to lack of team several talented guys didn't get much chances which they expect to rise and show those potential. But looking to situation I don't think franchise will be agree for such things become we have heard such news from long time when ramiz raja were chair person and at that time such proposal got rejected with a reason of it will not be much beneficial for league than harm.
Anyway I will support such proposal and except it will help PSL to grow, hope so new team will be Sialkot and may be pindi too.

I think the same; the franchises won't allow more teams in the PSL, and the reason is their financial stability. This addition will bring more players to the stadium, and we will see a variety of players, and real talents will get their places. Also, the PCB gives positive sentiments to the franchisers that their profits will remain the same and won't be shared among other franchisers, and they will create another financial model for the whole league. So the PCB is ready to do it and i also in support of it to provide many opportunities and places so that we can acquire a good players for our national team.

Well finally PSL franchise has pick thier vital categories of forner and local player at PSL 10 draft 2025, I know it's too late to post regarding that but due to Bitcointalk rule of avoid consecutive posting I wasn't able to post here. Anyway several franchise has pick ordinary player like A.milne, m.short, warner, Allen , Chapman, Mitchell etc to filled every aspects of thier team requirements. So different combinations has been formed who can give tough time to thier opponent.

So currently in my view I believe Islamabad united has build quite ordinary combination like they have bunch of power hitter, spinners who can really suit the condition and long batting till last, so on the day they can disappoint any one. While then Lahore and Quetta and Karachi were looking too good too.
But as fan of baber I am supporting Peshawar Zalmi who really have fine combination of strong bowlers with mostly have 140+ and their golden opening duo of saim with baber, who really done ordinary performance in last season so I believe they will continue thier rythm as well as continue thier run to become a successful team to qualify for playoff for nine back to back times.
So what do you think who has fine lineup.

But as fan of baber I am supporting Peshawar Zalmi who really have fine combination of strong bowlers with mostly have 140+ and their golden opening duo of saim with baber, who really done ordinary performance in last season so I believe they will continue thier rythm as well as continue thier run to become a successful team to qualify for playoff for nine back to back times.

Babar Azam hasn't been in a good form lately but then we usually see players gaining their form back through these leagues and it can be one of that good events not only for Babar Azam but other players as well who are struggling. But here is the catch, we have the champions trophy before the PSL so right now I do not see much hype for PSL across the media. Everyone is eagerly waiting for the champion trophy but Pakistan's batsmen need to improve their batting.

I can't really tell which team is strong. Usually, I will want to see which of the Pakistan players are gaining the form and that can be witnessed in the champions trophy. Once that is settled, then we can compare the teams in PSL in a better way.

I don't get this link between PSL and the champion's trophy. Both are different formats, one is T20 and the other one is ODI. So I don't think the players' performance will have that much impact. Even if a player shows a bad performance in ODI, they can also show a better batting in T20 as the playing approach in both the formats are different.

I think Peshawar Zalmi will be favourites as they have Babar Azam and Saim Ayub in their lineup. Islamabad United is also a strong team and show good performances in previous seasons. Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan are the players to look out for in this team.

I think it's time for them to bring back Australian players for coaching responsibility so that they can train some quality player more ever management should hire Australian retired players for selection committee so that they can dig some gem and promote player on the basic of thier talent but not relation, then we will get some green rise in team performance.

Anyway current young team performance isn't satisfying and now I believe even baber and Rizwan can be the best option to open in t20 compared to these worthless dump aggressive young batters.

Anyway soon PSL season 10 will begin, some new faces like Mitchell, warner , Williamson, bracewell, Chapman and several Australian will played thier debut matches at PSL which will make things more excited and intense to watch. Well as usual I will support Peshawar Zalmi no doubt one of his all rounder corbin borsh will not be the part due to got opportunity in MI from IPL hope management will get his substitute to settle things.

If some foreign top players are available in PSL, then definitely some good experience can be gained. If a good team is set, Pakistan team can get back to form. Some good cricketers needs to be produced from the upcoming PSL who will be able to contribute the most in Pakistan team to a good position in the future.

If Rizwan and Babar play as openers, then giving the next position to Nawaz will definitely not be bad. But Pakistan also has some good batsmen who can win matches in any position if they are set on the pitch. But they need to do well consistently. If some foreign top players are available in PSL, then definitely some good experience can be gained. If a good team is set, Pakistan team can get back to form. Some good cricketers needs to be produced from the upcoming PSL who will be able to contribute the most in Pakistan team to a good position in the future.

Well I believe it's too early to put Hasan Nawaz permanently at regular play for upcoming series, saim should open with baber and then Rizwan and Haris should bat at 3rd and fourth as they have power hitting abilities, so things will be quite In thier control at any crucial situation,

Anyway looking to PSL Zalmi got Australian all-rounder Owen after south African corbin borsh pulled out from PSL to be the part of IPL, hope such player will help youngster here in PSL to gain experience and technique just like we have emerging khwaja nafay as well has several fast bowlers. so I believe through that PSL edition Pakistan will get several name who will make big names in coming year and will get several huge achievement for team.
