It has been several hours since I made a withdrawal (on 0 hours) request and it still shows as pending on the blockchain. This is the first time something like this has happened to me when using Whirlwind and as they have not posted about any potential issues this is somewhat confusing.

The image you posted shows the transaction as unconfirmed. Do you have any confirmations at all or is it still unconfirmed even after all this time?

I've probably asked for a withdrawal at the same time as Ratimov, I can see a pending tx now, it's a fresh and unconfirmed one but seems like they are rolling withdrawals right now.

No, but it's not big deal.
Simply we're unlucky, the fees were enough for the first block but the block didn't come in time, in the last 24h only 123 blocks have been mined 21 less than normal, and somebody dumped 40Mvb of tx in one go, so no surprise it's being pushed down.
Before block 793,255 you could get confirmations with 25vbytes, after it jumped for hours to 80.

Seen it before, just being unlucky, but as I said no big deal, it will confirm for sure during the night.

If you create a note without deposits, what AMR (Anonymity Mining Rewards) are you expecting? AMR is granted only for notes with a balance greater than 100K sats.
In this way, there is no need to "recognise" a user, it is sufficient to "recognise" a positive (and greater than 100K satoshi) balance

Sure as you said, my withdrawal must have been confirmed at some point in the early hours.

No, the transaction remains unconfirmed. Although the service still sets good fees with a similar fee, 44-48 sat/byte, apparently this time the long confirmation is caused by the operation of the blockchain itself and its temporary loading. In general, I like that even with free withdrawals, the mixer does not send transactions to users with minimal fees.

I suppose (and hope) your withdrawal has been completed by now.

I agree with you, it stands to reason an empty address as far as Whirlwind is concerned would have literally no impact whatsoever when it comes to mixing. Unless I am missing the obvious, I cannot see any scenario where having multiple empty addresses would have any benefit at all.

I think you answer me from your experience and it is not the correct answer, if you think you gave it to me.

I have a deposit and I have a NPA (Note Public Address) I want to delete it. Then, the new note is to receive new funds with deposits (NPA) and add the existing note to this new one.

In this case, no deposit note is created, but it does have a balance or will have it.

@famososMuertos, if you have a note with a balance (whether you've deposited to it or used "Pay to note"), and it's great than 100k sats you are in the anonymity campaign automatically and will receive the interest.

The campaign pays to all eligible notes with a balance of 100k sats or more, no matter what type of note it is or where the funds came from. Does that make sense?

Is everything still active? It seems that development and communication stopped pretty abruptly, although the site is online of course. I wanted to add a lot more to start getting good dividends going from anonymity mining, but it's a scary thing to deposit coins and entrust them with the site when things have just gone weirdly quiet.

I believe that most of the functionality has been implemented and we are in a phase right now where we/they just need more people to use the service.
The signature campaign as well as the anonyminity mining campaign are up and running and there probably just aren't daily updates at this point.

Not only is the address reused, but to break the link between the sending and receiving address, you need to trust the mixer to keep your coins for a longer time, and the withdrawal is random, no matter how good the mixer is. If you withdraw directly from the deposit address, you reduce your privacy.

I wonder how long the mining campaign will last, because in the future users will be forced to leave their money at the mixer for a longer time, and the mixer will not be able to pay them. without reward payment or high deposit volumes, I do not know if this goal will be achieved.

Edit: Just noticed our Clearnet server provider is doing infrastructure upgrades until midnight CET time, so 2 hours left. Tor is still accessible during this time.

Clearnet is also down with me, only the Cloudflare page with the "Error code 525" message. Maybe you should check your SSL settings there.

Background Error 525 indicates that the SSL handshake between Cloudflare and the origin web server failed. This only occurs when the domain is using Cloudflare Full or Full (Strict) SSL mode.

btw. TOR is running regularly.

I can confirm this:
Clearnet is unreachable as @whirlwindmoney has stated (it says "SSL Handshake failed" for me).
Onion link resolves quickly, I can access my dashboard/note and todays payment from the signature campaign is also available or at least shows up as I haven't withdrawn yet.


A few days ago a Newbie sent me a private message stating:

That's all it said and after I responded, I haven't heard back from him... It seems like you not being as active as before raised somewhat of a concern with some people.
