Punjab team did not face any problem in winning the target of 172 runs. This team has a strong batting order. In the first match, we saw that Punjab team gave Gujarat team a huge target of 244 runs. Iyer played a great innings of 97 runs from 42 balls against Gujarat. Iyer was unbeaten after collecting 97 runs. In today's match also, Iyer's collection was 52 runs from 30 balls. And Iyer was unbeaten. However, if he had not hit the boundary on the last ball, Iyer's half-century would not have happened.

Punjab performed excellently in this match. Almost every bowler in the squad did well. Iyer used 6 bowlers today. Arshdeep Sing gave away 43 runs in 4 overs but took 3 wickets

Maybe this team is trying to play much better with the touch of a new captain, we can see that the team is performing well after Shreyas Iyer took charge of this team. Moreover India's new talent Iyer is trying to play with much more seriousness and his body language is always good for this team.

Punjab Kings are in a good position so far. But slowly, tough times are approaching for them. They were lucky to win the first two matches, I won't say they won with the help of luck. They won by performing but they were a bit lucky. Maybe the match situation was in their favor that made it easy for them to win. But the next matches may not speak in their favor, because Rajasthan Royals are desperate to win after losing 2 of their first 3 matches. Rajasthan's hunger to win will give Punjab Kings a tough time.

Team balance matter most and then which player can adjust while giving impact performance. KL become floater due to his own failures, he was also given a long rope but he wasn't consistent, his ODI game is amazing tho.

One important thing is fans should not be reactionary and mix format, there are handful players who can excel in all 3 formats in every condition (Bumrah is at the top).

Yeah, seperate team will be there but few players like Jaiswal and some will be in the mix with all format, add 1-2 here n there if they are willing to fix their game and keep their attitude towards the game in check( Iyer, Kishan, pant, gill, siraj).

Would be epic if Punjab goes into playoffs without any fuss. Zinta ji would be happiest in their camp.

GT vs RCB is one game that I am really excited for. Bangalore are the clear favorites, but Gujarat bounced back well recently. Sai Sudarshan should be given an award for his insane consistency in this league. Cheering for GT myself.

Rishabh Pant has been signed by LSG for the highest price in IPL history so far but this wicket keeper batsman has played a total of three matches for LSG so far in which he has probably failed to score more than 30 runs in three matches. I think there is a pressure on him that since his price is the highest, he has to perform well anyway and also there is a pressure from his captain. If the pressure of captaincy and added value is a problem for him then he needs to be relaxed and the management should help him in this so that he can perform normally on the field. LSG spent a lot of money in this IPL auction but we don't see that kind of performance from any other player except Nicholas Pooran so all other players in the team should do their duty well and do good for the team.

They replaced seamer with the seamer, looks straight forward choice to me, unless Phillips start bowling 135+ cutters.

They only went with 2 overseas in the playing XI so I believe they are backing their Indian batters to do the job and playing safe with impact sub while they chase. They will have phillips and Rutherford as impact sub.

I am more puzzled with exclusion of Sunder. He can't find a place in playing XI because of impact rule.

In the first match, he got just one over. And that too when Shreyas Iyer was on his peak form. He went for 21 runs in that over and was never asked to bowl again in that match. Anyway, he has made a strong comeback in this match. Virat Kohli's wicket is insanely important and it will be a turning point in his career. At the moment, his figures stand at 2-0-17-1, and he is getting good support from Mohammed Siraj at the other end. But the match is not yet over and RCB have talented batsmen such as Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma and Tim David down the order.

I know that but it's likely Rutherford who'll be impact player. Plus, GT dropped few catches today, so Phillips's fielding service could have come handy.
