Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling???

Someone posted a link for free ChatGPT in forum so I had some time to experiment and talk with ''him'' and I am not impressed with answers I was getting.
If this conversation was taking place in forum I would most likely report this user for plagiarism, he is just copy-pasting bunch of stuff all the time.
Not just that, he is often very controversial and I proved many times that is is talking nonsense most of the time, so I am sure ''he'' could not play a poker with real people.
However, there is danger in AI development because they can be controlled and instructed by (malicious) people to do bad things, and poker should last of your worries.

AI is still a computer generated system, you will input the data in the system and the system will works for it. There’s a threat yes and the government is already aware of this and for sure casinos are preparing for this as well as many gamblers might try to use AI for their gambling activities. If this AI works in gambling, then this industry will be doomed soon because every gamblers have a higher chance now of winning, I’m wondering how these casinos will protect their system against the AI.

Any suspicious act of gamblers could be tracked by casinos so there's no way Chat GPT could destroy any casino games, especially poker. It's fine to rely on it sometimes in case we need help and guidance because of confusion but we should always use it as a tool to abuse the casino. The casino has the right and prerogative to ban or restrict abusive players anytime. It is better to enjoy the game using our own skills and strategy so we won't face the consequences in the future.

Lol... now I am motivated to use chatbots to abuse casinos  (j/k)  Anyway I don't think that using chatbots such as Chatgpt is exploiting the casino.  Chatgpt does not give a 100% correct prediction, it only gives standard advice which can be also read on books about poker games.  If you happen to watch the link given on the replies, chatgpt only explains the situation to the player whcih can be acquired naturally if you play poker regularly or even for some hours.

You are right, the chatbot is a tool for learning and not a tool of abuse, I believe the developers who came up with this idea didn't do so with the intention that the program be used for abuse purposes, casinos have all the right to monitor and take appropriate actions on users who are caught abusing the casino through any means, not just with this Ai chatbot, this, I believe most of us already know.

That is why Chatbot cannot be used to exploit casino games because it does not modify the game system to give the player a favorable result.

However, I do think that there is a possibility that someone will eventually develop an AI specifically designed to beat casino games, which is a concern for the industry. As you mentioned, the development of AI technology is rapidly advancing, and there are already instances where AI has been used to beat human players in games like chess and Go.

There are already malwares and hacking tools done by bad players to exploit casinos so it is not impossible to see this kind of thing in the near future.

Perhaps you would be needing a specialized form of AI to do the job just right, and train it with data from poker games over and over again. ChatGPT still has a lot of errors on its answers and is not very good at checking what it spews out, so instead of possibly getting a winning position it might even send you into a losing one.

it would take time but i guess, we will get to such point that chatgpt can evolve into something human-like reactions to online players. it depends on the capability of the developers. but it's always possible. as of now, they are still in the early stage of deploying it to any field. but they are showing a very promising path. we can't disregard their potential in the gambling industry though

Well it's not that far, anyone remember DeepBlue? 25 years ago today: How Deep Blue vs. Kasparov changed AI forever.

So I have no doubt that AI is going to disrupt not just industries and sectors, or even sports and gambling per se like Poker, that uses individual strategies, bluffs and read of opponents. I know it's scary but we are in this time now, this tool will evolved maybe in just short span of 5 years and might take over some from our human counterparts. You are overthinking op. ChatGPT is a very smart app for sure, but humans are smarter. Many people already came up with different solutions to tackle issues related to it such as anti-AI softwares etc.

The way AI is going, we might be surprised that it is gonna do more bad than good. Elon had pointed about this too of the huge problem AI is going to pose on the society soon if the government would not try and do something about it. I have been seeing the way people are using AI to get things done quickly without stress. There are hackers and sadist that are soon going to hijack this AI of a thing and be using it to attack there opponents like the artificial intelligence that can create an image by just typing what you want and the kind of imagine you want to have.

I'm not really sure what you used it for but essentially, it doesn't copy paste the exact same stuff but it spins the information and uses that in its answers that it provides for the prompts of the users. Did you not know that ChatGPT or any language model is trained using existing data and it doesn't generate things from itself?

It is obvious that whatever it says has been taken from somewhere since it's trained with millions of data available online so that it can generate responses using that data, but it is a useful tool, I don't know why you have such views about it.

I think there's no way Chat GPT can destroy poker, we know that many a.i are evolving but human is evolving too. I don't think chat gpt can give you 100% to poker because sometimes chat gpt have mistake too. Chat gpt can give you a probability but that's not accurate so don't try to use chat gpt in poker if you don't want to lose your money because most of the poker and gambling sites are unpredictable

I think it could probably make a dent, but realistically this might be classed as "cheating" by a  casino and they often have measures in place to prevent it. There is already software out there, overlays and similar, that crunch this sort of data and convert it into useful statistics - telling you how strong or weak a player is doing. Most online poker rooms these days include a lot of the useful information in a heads up display when you hover over the player name. They already know that such software is out there and try to level the playing board as much as possible in that sense. Whether ChatGPT can go a step further with analysis and determine what the right move would be at any particular moment, that could give a stronger advantage but it needs a large data set to mine and is still then only performing "educated" guesses.

This made me remember a news I  came across while surfing the internet where a lady acted smart with chatgpt thinking she was smart enough to scale through her exams cheating with the AI but the unfortunate happened to her. She failed her examination woefully as the lecturer observed it, failed her and also wrote a note on her script of the implications and letting her know she used AI for his examination  which she admitted to have used chatgpt when revealing the occurrence online for the world to see.

Just as you have said using chatgpt is still cheating because it is not coming from a natural source as it is supposed to. So there would be a big difference between the artificial and the natural based on the outcome if related to academics but  for gambling, it is a computer to computer thing so the possibility is  a 50:50 aggregate.

I expect the competition rises among these AI developers. And this will take the lead for them to develop a more efficient AI which is capable to gamble like a real gambler. I foresee the changing situation in gambling but I also think the anticipation of these owners for this development and possibly, they become stricter when it comes to registration and playing. That is why even though the development continues, still not enough to beat the house. And I still don't think ChatGTP is useful in gambling, it might be better in the other place.

I haven't think of that before, do the AI could give you suggestion if you input to them your cards and the present cards in the banker? I think that could be really helpful in some situations but don't you think that could be cheating or not? I tried to play with ChatGPT with chess and it looks like it can play chess very well, the knowledge of the this AI is really good so there's no doubt that it can be used in gambling sites.

Well, that could be possible in the future. But for now, I cannot say that ChatGTP can be reliable enough from winning online poker games. Though I must admit that ChatGPT gives excellent answers when it comes to inquiries on world events or anything that is computer related jobs, but it’s hard to expect that ChatGPT will also work in gambling. Note that gambling outcomes are very unpredictable, and ChatGPT cannot be possibly dwelling in the future especially in poker games where cards are always hard to predict.

Totally, when they are online getting real time data, not only chatgpt but other AI:s as well. In fact, one could just run dozens of bots playing with each other against the humans, amd if you get 2 of your own ai:s in on same table, changes to play humans out are pretty high. But even when you are playing live, it's not far ahead for people to use augmented reality layer in their glasses that others can't see, and it will be operated by AI that suggest what you should do. Same goes with chess. They need to do nude search for those matches sooner or later.

Few years is a long time, the way things are moving, we will probably know the impact of AI on gambling and Poker in a year or two. Artificial Intelligence is growing fast and almost every field of life is affected by it. In most of the cases, it is used in a good sense but we should not forget that people will also try to use it in a negative manner.

There is only one official chatGPT which is free to use (although you can buy the premium version of it). The purpose of this AI is that you can get a lot of data and information from it and then use it. It's not meant to just copy paste the stuff only. There are many use cases of AI and chatGPT and people are using it cleverly for saving time and achieving other purposes.
