I'm always using the chatgpt for my programming purpose and some of the people seeking a guru of gambling they found out that the chatgpt can provide a number of information to them for their gambling activity but even the chatgpt does not agree for the gambling purpose of the chatgpt, seems like the developers too knows the mindset of the people just want to beat the system itself.

This is great to know, I personally have been of the opinion that there is no way ChatGPT will become a threat to gambling casinos, if at all it has the potential to become, I believe casinos will begin from now to start finding ways around it, but here, we see some casinos even implementing the Ai to serve as a customer support, this should point to us that the Ai is not and likely will never be a threat to gambling casinos or any type of gambling game.

You are very right, Ai, robots etc, will all make humans lazier than ever before, it's just like what the internet, smart phones and computers have done to students of this days, most students perform really bad in theory/practical examinations because majority of them have gotten addicted to google and other search engines for answers to their questions, and have totally dumped the previous method of we having to find answers to questions ourselves, most especially in maths.

Gambling requires skills and a good understanding of the game? That's definitely not a possibility real soon. There are many glitches in the language and the way ChatGPT works. Most of the time its answers are based on the open source texts available throughout the internet. Yes, it can access billions of texts, scramble them, rearrange, phrase them, correct and construct complex sentences, and give a fruitful output for the question that we asked.

I highly doubt that such AI would be capable of playing the poker game. Yes AI is very advanced tech right now, but you need to teach the AI, and its logic is formulated based on those learnings.

To study and predict in-game behaviors yes. But we all know that poker isn’t just about bluffing and folding or calling people out of their bluffs. It’s part of the game but that isn’t what necessarily wins it. It’s still having great cards and a better setup. With all these parameters to be predicted and detected over a large sample size I think ChatGPT will have a hard time being a reliable source of predictive information, especially in games like poker. With that being said it’s still possible, especially in future iterations of the AI LLM, but as it stands today even with GPT-4 levels I’d say it wouldn’t be up for this herculean task just considering the sample size it needs to derive usable data from. Not to mention the countless games as well as possible combinations, along with correlation to specific player behavior.

You are correct and I completely agree with you, the current version of ChatGPT can't be used for anything relating to gambling, except asking and finding answers to some simple gambling questions and terms.

I believe it can. I tried this for a while as an advisor while playing with bots. In some situations, this helped me quickly calculate the odds and make the right decision. Gotta to go back to his API one day, trying to build a poker bot...

The more I play with these various AI offerings the more I think it isn’t quite as amazing as advertised yet. You can see that it has gotten to the point where it is becoming useful, but much like self driving, I wouldn’t take my hands off the wheel just yet. Reading another post, it crossed my mind that AIs and particularly ChatGPT could potentially be trained with a large samples of games played by poker champions and then put it to auto-play with amateur on-line players. If this is successful, it could mean the end of human on-line poker playing except perhaps for the world masters and the like. Has anyone tried? Would it be possible??

There are many variables involved in poker. It's not as easy as study a poker Pro and try winning against newer players. You could however, set a range of cards that the AI could play (playing tight) and try to win with that, but even that isn't easy as it seems. Bluffing could really mess the AI up amongst other things. Unlike chess, where AI has mastered the possible outcomes with perfect play, poker has extra elements to it with cards to come bring unknown and the tendency of a player in a multi player pot being unknown. AI could try, but I doubt it'll be successful on the long run. Maybe in heads up poker along with knowing tendencies of how the opponent usually plays his hands, there's a possibility that an AI could do much better than their human counterparts(only when AI can read all the previous outcomes and play style of the opponent). I'd be happy to be proven wrong though. I'm sure, AI will be able to do well in the future but I doubt that technology is in the hands of users rn. I'm sure some online poker lounges use bots to show that there are many players playing on their website and the websites could take advantage by knowing the possible cards to come but they'll eventually get caught for cheating.

It is not possible for an AI model to even predict or detect the in-game behaviors of humans, calculating and determining the hand combinations is a very big thing for it, it is simply possible for it to keep a count of all the hands and combinations that can be made by someone and for it to detect which player has what kind of a hand.

We have not yet reached that far in technological advancements that an AI we have created should beat us in a game where only a human can be an expert because it involves reading in-game behaviors more than cards, etc.

Even though AI can help with analysis, its implementation may still take time because developments in AI technology currently need to be more advanced. We've seen what this AI provides for a while, making us think it still needs many developers' touches to work properly. At least AI can provide information close to what we want.

Maybe there will still be gambling games that cannot use AI and require us as users to play. And casinos as a provider of venues, will always take good care of their business even though later AI is expected to be more advanced than now.

From what I know, AI could beat good poker players long before ChatGPT was introduced. But it was able to start beating human players only after playing many games with them, particular players, at the same table. There's no universal formula for that. Imo, if you analyze the moves of great poker players and play accordingly, you'll do maybe a bit better than poker bots, but still not that good to be winning most of the time. Winning poker strategies change with time, and those guys best in the field change their style too. Maybe one day AI will be able to do that too, but at the moment it is not superior to good human players.

Without AI I should also be able to beat other players to play poker because I am talented at playing online poker but not against poker machines, sophisticated technology does not mean that making poker games easy to beat with AI but only to analyze how the opponent plays so that they are easy to beat does not mean defeating .

I think people are overusing this technology, even for online poker gambling games. Obviously, this is something that doesn't need to be done, in my opinion. use AI wisely to do a great job besides gambling which can benefit yourself and many people.
