This result was mainly interesting for the favorite teams of the competition which have passed the group's phase already, since they won't have to play against Brazil, which is considered a strong adversary on the following stages.

However, despite it being a master plan by Jamaica on strategical field, I fear they can't reach further following the same recipe, because even though they hold the next match defensively, the dispute will go for penalties, and then it's likely to be game over.

And for Brazil, now they will have to totally rely on a new generation of players to keep the team competitive without Marta.

Of course, Reggae Girlz have been lucky so far with only 1 goal to their name in this world cup. They'd have to be weaey because the next phases of the competition will require more than just a solid defense. Their offense needs to step up amd win them games since they have a solid defense already. Defense only won't win games. The round of 16 will be interesting to watch. Brazil women made similar mistake with Brazil men in the 2022 world cup.

The matches in the other groups have ended and it's unfortunate that Brazil was eliminated after failing to win the last game against Jamaica. Brazil really dominated the match there were 18 shots and 8 on target but none of them were scored and there was almost no chance for Jamaica players to get into the Brazilian defense unfortunately all the opportunities Brazil had were wasted, it seems that Brazil did not expect that Jamaica would be able to discipline its defense area until the match ended which makes it really difficult for them to score goals.

Brazil really didn't do well... despite the Brazilians having more possession of the ball and having controlled the pace of the match, they didn't play with the determination needed to win the game.
Again they missed a lot of passes, showed nervousness in all actions on the field and were extremely limited by Jamaica's tight defense

They needed to win to qualify for the round of 16 and even started the game looking for an offensive attack and putting pressure on Jamaica, but it was necessary to hit the passes to try to reach the opponent's goal more often and manage to finish... I saw very few shots from danger close to the Jamaican goal area.

There were some good moments, mainly on the left side with Tamires, Debinha and Marta, the Brazilian team advanced a few times and had opportunities to score the goal, but goalkeeper Spencer was always well placed on those few occasions when she had to work.

Unfortunately, closer to the end, the Brazilians were already tired and without budgets on the field, with few attempts to score, they ended up having to accept premature disqualification from the world cup.

I was betting on Brazil, but... that's for another time.

Brazil had an incredible opening by finishing Panama with 4 goals to nill, who would have thought that they will be remove after the group stage, the next mistake they made was losing to France when they should have draw with the plenty of opportunities they had and the final worst they did was drewing with Jamaica that needed a single point to qualify to the knockout stage, they should learn there lesson from the mistake.

Brazil's win against Panama means Brazil's number of points is 3. Their next match with France women's team is a plan of at least a draw in that match. If France had drawn against the women's team, Brazil women's team would have had 4 points and the last match was with Jamaica, Brazil is a much better team than Jamaica, so a win or a draw against Jamaica would have been necessary, in which case Brazil could have qualified for the next round even if it had at least five points. 
If there is a lack of planning in big tournaments like the World Cup, it is never possible to do well in these tournaments.

While their men are preforming brilliantly well and betting confidence is high, we cannot say the same thing for the women's side. I  have observed a decline in their women's game since the past 7 - 8 years. For example, historically speaking/ writing this women haven't won any games in the knock phases of almost 2 World Cup competitions. Going forward, what they should fix in addition to having proper plans is the quality of talent that they field out, they should also focus on getting more organized. Congratulations to Jamaica I hope they go that far in the competition.

Colombia has been probably one of the best teams in this tournament in my opinion.

The 2 goals against Germany were pretty much the highlight of the match, and they ended up winning even though the referee wanted Germany to win instead...

So now they are playing against Morocco, which would be an interesting match. I think Colombia will end up winning, but there are always surprises in football.

There is quite a big difference between the men's national team and the Brazilian women's national team and not only for Brazil, but several countries experience the same thing even though it's the other way around for the example of Japan where the women's national team is considered one of the strongest with its achievements being able to win the 2011 World Cup and what is even more different is how the United States is so strong in the women's section by winning the championship 4 times but the men have never had good results.
Today is the last match for the group phase, 4 teams from Group H will compete. Germany and Colombia will be highly favored to qualify for the group phase because Germany is the favorite to win against South Korea who no longer has a chance, and Morocco even though they can win against Colombia later lost in terms of goal difference compared to Germany, but things might change a lot if Germany draws and Morocco can win against Colombia, it is quite interesting to look forward to, because the competing teams will struggle to get past the group phase and play in the knockout stages.

I have been saying this for some time now. European teams are in a state of continuous decline and this is true for both men's and women's football. Look at Germany. Their men's team is a joke now. Germany has one more match remaining in the group phase and they may even manage to qualify for the next stage. But that doesn't take away the fact that they suffered a humiliating defeat to Colombia. Now they have the match against South Korea remaining and they need to win that one in order to progress to the next phase.

The Morocco female national team are making Africans proud with a 1nil win at halftime, I wish the girls would continue playing the way they're playing and avoid those silly mistakes. If the Colombia team are really taking those little chances they've got, it would have been them leading at halftime.

With the kick off of the second half, I still feel the Morocco female national team would win the game because the Colombia team have already qualify and they'd be careful with some key players so I don't see them taking this game too serious. IMO the Morocco girls would hold on to that lead till full time.

Didn't think Morocco had it in them to score against a Columbian side that had showed plenty of quality to get to where they are today, and worse off, Germany 🇩🇪  has failed to win against a team we thought was the weakest of the group...and if they don't get a goal now or in the crazy stoppage time to be added, it's end of the road for these guys!! It's now or never or both Morocco 🇲🇦  and Germany 🇩🇪,  all the best ladies.

Bte, with how these results are coming in, am leaning towards Japan  to be the competitions winners because they have the discipline, the defense, the attack or should I just say they are a full package 🏆

Morocco might also be heading for the round of 16 as well because Germany couldn't find a way past South Korea yet, it still 1 goal apiece with less than 60 seconds plus stoppage time left to play in the game so it might just be the end of the road for them as well, however, Morocco would also need to make they keep their own end of the bargain tight too by not allowing any further surprise from Colombia.

It's a 9 minute added time in both games, that's still plenty of time for some twists, but Germany don't have much longer to get an answer, it's now or never for them.

The normal 90 minutes time of the game between Morocco women's national team and their Colombia counterparts has elapsed and they're playing in the additional time and from what we've seen so far in the the match, the Moroccan female national team has shown desire and determination to win the match and take all three points which will see them qualify for the next round of the competition.
The scoreline is still 1:0 in the favour of Morocco but their Colombian counterparts who has already qualified for the next round are still trying to draw the match. It'll surely be a great win and cause for jubilation if Morocco can hang on and claim all three points

3 out of the 4 African teams that were present at the world cup made it out of their group, at expense of teams likes, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Argentina and Germany who could have predicted a tournament like this ? and the only African team that didn't make it out of their group was Zambia, and they also finished 3rd place in the group, so I really can't stress enough of how proud I am of these teams, it shows even women football is going way beyond just the European and American domination.

But I knew and even commented in previous posts that Jamaica's team is very good, and it's really true, neither France nor Brazil managed to win. Jamaica deserved to qualify and I hope they get further in the cup, at least in the quarterfinals would be very nice, Jamaican girls suffered a lot to get into the cup, they don't have support in their confederation

Colombia are lucky that this game was not a game that was going to decide if they will qualify or not because they already had six points from their first two games. The women Moroccan team seem to want to make record as their men team did in the last where they played very well unexpectedly and were able to knock out teams as big as Portugal from the competition to qualify for the round of 16. The women team are en route to achieve what the men achieved, even more.
