I am not sure I am fully up to date, but I think that the problem is that Manchester City still doesn't want to give him two years but only one year and Gundogan does not agree with that. When Pep says that Gundogan would strengthen Barcelona and he would make that team better in reality it could also be a tactic to support Gudogan in signing a good contract elsewhere, namely Barcelona here. There is hope for Real Madrid to maintain that consistent winning of champions league title from next season, because their management are trying their possible best to bring in talented players that can make the team function well again like the 14 time they won the champion league title. Based on the potential players the management is planning to sign into the team this summer will really bring positive change that will make the players shine in any competition to maintain highest points through out the tournament. I don't think, Real Madrid will allow any team to take the title from them than to apply all the strategies that will make them champions at the end of the tournament.

The 4-0 defeat in the second leg of the UCL semi-final last season was a very embarrassing blow for Real Madrid, they have always been the favorites in this competition but Manchester City threw mud at Real Madrid face. It's hard to forget how a team like Real Madrid was defeated with a crushing score in the semifinals. Real Madrid will try to do anything next season to add to their collection of UCL trophies that they failed to achieve last season.

The big name that Real Madrid has is very easy to bring in quality players, Bellingham has been successfully brought in with great value. Real Madrid are still not satisfied with Bellingham arrival, they are looking for a striker who can be relied on to make their front line even sharper and more dangerous. I hope Mbappe will join Real Madrid next season, at Real Madrid it is easier for him to win the UCL trophy than the team he is currently defending.

I'm not a City fan. but it seems, City has a great chance to defend their title. why, because they have a solid squad and players of almost equal quality. plus, their backup players are also very reliable. IMO, currently the system that Pep has built makes City the strongest team compared to other teams. he just needs to overhaul a few flaws in the system, so that the opposing team will find it even more difficult to fight City. maybe, Pep will bring in one or two potential players if Gundohan leaves. maybe also, Pep will look for a replacement for Benardo Silva if he also leaves. what is certain is that the system that Pep has implemented has gone very well, so City only needs to get the right players and it doesn't rule out the possibility that they will be even more ferocious. 

Real Madrid, yes, the defeat in the semifinal match should be a reference for Don Carlo to improve his squad to make it stronger.  Unfortunately, so far they have not found a candidate to replace Benzema. in fact, we can't be sure that Bellingham will adapt quickly. moreover, he is a young player who still needs high flying hours. but I have no doubts, that he is a good player and a future candidate for Madrid. well, if Madrid want to win this competition trophy again, that means they have to have a more competitive squad. that way, at least Madrid can keep up with Manchester City.

The nickname of the King of Europe is indeed not mere boasting. They have proven it by entering the final eight times since 1998, and eight times they have won. And until now, if Real Madrid had passed the semifinals and then entered the final, they would be the champions.

They are specialists in Champions League finals, so I don't want to argue with that. Real Madrid rarely fail to win the Champions League when they get to the final, but I think their era of dominance in the Champions League will end soon after Manchester City have broken the curse.

I think Real Madrid will not be as strong as before after they no longer have many golden players like Benzema and several other players. Indeed, they have a lot of quality players, but experienced players like Benzema, Modric, Kroos are the spirit of a good performance for Real Madrid. Madrid will realize that, so I think they will still miss the Champions League final in the next few seasons unless they play very badly against Madrid in the Champions League.

Luckily this season Man City can defeat Real Madrid in the semifinals, otherwise Real Madrid will definitely win the 15th UCL trophy.

Manchester City didn't make it by luck, but they have proven themselves better than Real Madrid by the form of it. Madrid played badly, even worse when they played the second leg of the semi-final at the Etihad Stadium.
