Real Madrid's striker should always be a star name. It always has been. Real Madrid fans all over the world know the name of that star striker. My expectation was for Mbappe or Kane. Unless there is a name similar to these names, Real Madrid will always lack a striker. I'm not saying Joselu is a bad player, but he's not a star player. Joselu is a very talented player. Last season we saw excellent performances from Joselu, even with a weak team like Espanyol. Joselu is quite an experienced player. I think Joselu will be able to play better with a stable and experienced squad like Real Madrid. Even though Manchester City lost Gundogan, I think this can be easily anticipated, especially now that they have also got Kovavic, who can be used as a substitute to fill the void. Not to mention that they are also now trying to approach Rice which Manchester City could have got.

Isn't it more like a head or tails flip? In general, when clubs change their coaches it sometimes works out because it feels like the team is receiving new input and is playing more energized and sometimes the team looks to be overwhelmed by the new requirements of the coach or even changes within the team formation and positions. Tuchel is a good coach but I think he is no different from Nagelsmann. Their characters and also their approach to coaching is similar and that is why the decision to get rid of Nagelsmann was surprising. They didn't start something that is completely from scratch but instead decided to hand over control to somebody who is about to do the same as Nagelsmann. That was a weird decision in a strange moment.
