You are trying to reduce everything to individual episodes (mistakes happen everywhere and against everyone), and I am trying to talk about larger things. I don't understand what you are trying to prove. All clubs played under equal conditions (yes, imperfect but the equal) and Real Madrid set a great achievement that no one else could - they won the Champions League three times in a row. Your argument makes the case that everyone has equal chance in having their breaking the rules behavior go undetected and therefore whoever wins deserves the win, since the other team could also have scored offside goals, circumvent red cards by injuring an opponent's player "the smart way" or scoring a goal with the hand such that the referee doesn't blow the whistle. This still neglects that Real Madrid has more influence on the game and the people behind it than any other club, but still. You say "whoever breaks the rules without getting caught is doing ok because the others could have done the same". I am not that kind of guy and that is why I am a big fan of the VAR and any other measure to reduce shenanigans. Nobody wants to watch an Atletico Madrid game when they have the lead in minute 25 because everyone knows that the game afterwards has nothing to do with soccer as cramps start even in the first half then.

I consider Real Madrid a very good contender and Barca too. Inter Milan just don't have the tenacity to win the league against a side like Manchester city. The winnings too also depends of the technical prowess of the manager, no doubt.

The fact that they were there and couldn't smell the Champions League, there is nothing to prove to justify that they are good and capable of winning the Champions League. They were there and in there history, they have never won the Champions League in their entire life until the Haaland and Bruyne were signed in 2022 and consequently, they won the Champions league in that season, and the fact that he was able to have more goals in that season, even a blind man will say Haaland was the moving vehicle for Manchester United just that as the matches were approaching the end, he wasn't have chance and opportunity as many other teams weren't giving him space because he do destroy opponent in small opportunity.

I agree with you about that. This isn't only Haaland's success. Manchester City maintained the strong team play and Haaland just made an extra contribution to the scoring ability of the team. I don't mean to underestimate his performance this season of course. He was really impressive in the Champions League as well mostly. 12 goals in 11 matches is just incredible effort. However we couldn't see his positive affect in the most critical stages of the Champions League.

He couldn't score a single goal in the semi finals and finale. But thanks to the great team play Manchester City still won the title finally.

For Joselu it is true that Real Madrid only paid a small fee to borrow him from Espanyol at a price of 450k euros for one season and maybe what @Leviathan.007 meant was the purchase of Jude Bellingham which cost 120 million euros which made Real Madrid spend so much money. Others like Brahim Diaz returned from Milan after his loan spell ended and for Franc Garcia Real Madrid also signed him for a low fee from Vallecano. There are also other young players who have been confirmed, such as Arda Guler from Fenerbahce, who also only spent around 20 million euros.

So if we think about it, Real Madrid's biggest expense was only when they brought in one player from Dortmund, namely Jude Bellingham. It looks like Real Madrid in the champions league next season will be as scary as Manchester City and we'll see which of these two teams can excel.

I think, if your prediction for next season's Champions League is only about Real Madrid and Manchester City, then there seems to be no difference with last season. Because I am sure, that not only Real Madrid is spending a lot of money in this transfer market to build a team to be better next season. Even before the arrival of Erling Haaland, Manchester City have been a tough, likewise great side, but he Erling Haaland also gave Manchester City an extra edge when it comes to attacking, pressing and scoring goals. Madrid must succeed in bringing Mbappe from PSG.

Why only mention two teams? Does that mean that only these two teams have the chance to win? Real Madrid did spend a lot of money to bring in several players but other clubs did the same thing, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and other clubs.

Hand of god was a one time thing and I am not sure if it keeps happening all the time. But I get it, world cup or UCL could be a bit shorter and that is why one bad ref decision could lead to a lot of stuff in the end. Look at europa league, I believe Roma deserved to win the game without a doubt, they deserved it to the end and the fact that they lost and Sevilla won was a shame and it was just terrible decision making by the ref and nothing more

So, there are moments even now like that, I am not arguing against that, but if we want to have a tournament then we are going to have to face that this is going to happen, we can't just have a whole league, it would not be smart, this is a lot better and makes a lot more money.

That's what we expect and want to see of course. All clubs are improving to make the competition even more interesting.
But I will feel a little sad now, because in the Champions League next season we will be left with many senior players who we usually always see in Champions League matches. Of course it is awesome for him to have this goal count and the performance in general, but when it does not come with titles then what is it worth? I have no reason to make his achievements smaller than they are because they are great and everyone acknowledges that. It is more that I feel sorry for him because a player of his category should be able to tell about titles as well one day.
