With the current state of Manchester City I don't think they can be able to perform the way they did on there last season by wining more than one trophy at a time because they have lost the motivation and performance they had last season because they are really having it very difficult to perform and even allowing some smaller clubs to win them, the fact is that Manchester City lack consistent this season and however I doubt if they can be able to win any league this season, although at first I was actually thinking that they would go far based on there performance last season and how they started this season with numerous of wining until there performance got affected when Kevin de Bruyne had the injury.

So perhaps the champions League is out of there reach this season because there performance is not worthy enough to become the champion again, so perhaps real Madrid may likely become the champions League winner this season since they were not able to beat Manchester City last season.

I don't think that transfers in January have ever been of such a significant importance that they helped a team win the Champions League. If that was the case, I wonder what type of player you are talking about. Of course, if Real Madrid would sign Mbappe in January and he would score several goals in the final round of the Champions League, then it would perhaps be true, but since that won't happen, I doubt that any transfer in January would literally be responsible for the Champions League trophy at the end of the season.

Besides according to his statement maybe there could be a chance for him to move on with PSG as well which would make me really disappointed about his future though.

If you look at how much Mbappe earns, then you can assume that money should not be of much importance to him, but his agent, and this is his mother, runs the show and it seems that she has a very big influence on the decisions that Mbappe makes, so in this case the money are one of the most important elements in the transaction.
Of course, like any footballer, he wants to win the most important trophies, including the Champions League. Reports of Mbappe leaving PSG and moving to different clubs continued for years. He wanted to join Real Madrid a long time ago however at that point PSG persuaded him to remain. Having won a World Cup with the Les Bleus and afterward turning into a captain leading his nation to a second finish in the last World Cup made it harder to leave France.

I think that even though the opponent Real Madrid is quite strong in the round of 16, I think Real Madrid will still be able to beat Leipzig. Given Real Madrid's current form, I will also argue that it is too early for them to be eliminated from the Champions League at the round of 16. Leipzig, their opponent at this stage, is, in my opinion, not as strong as Real Madrid if we compare their season performances in both the Champions League and their domestic league. I can't really say that Real Madrid is going to the semi-final, but I will say that they are among the favorites that I am expecting in the semi-final because of their good  performance and the experience team they are in the Champions League.
