Real Sociedad are a much better team in the Champions League compared to the La Liga this season. They completed Group D as leader despite having a competitive opponent like Inter in the same group. Can they be a challenging opponent for PSG as well? I think that they absolutely can. You can predict the reason behind that easily too in fact.  

The reason why I think like that is PSG's inconsistent look in the tournament so far. As you have seen PSG barely managed to make it to this round thanks to the results of the last match week. If Newcastle won against Milan we were going to watch PSG in the Europa League.    Unless PSG perform the same as their recent Ligue 1 performances Real Sociedad can make things really difficult for them.

They can challenge PSG in the Champions League because we know that PSG did not have good records in this tournament, they mostly disappoint their fans when they put hope in them that is why every team is not always afraid of PSG because of the disappointments in several occasions in the Champions League.
Real Sociedad really tried very well in the Champions League this season as they were able to top their group which no one expected, I think they will try their best to eliminate PSG which I know will not be easy for them, but Sociedad's Champions League form this season is encouraging.

Real Sociedad having good season but sadly their attack is not effective which can help them in this knock out round because in last two games they fail to score any goal which is surely the worst thing for them even they top their group without any defeat, but now they needed aggressive approach which helps them for having better result and chance for the qualifying into next round which is not easy against team like PSG which is also improving their quality and performance after few poor results now things are looking much better and their chances are also high for the next round promotion even they are still not in favourite list, but they can make good mark with their performance.

Both teams can give better into their home leg match which will be give advantage for the jumping into next round in second leg match, mostly they will try to play with their tight defense which will give them better results as well.

Im still waiting for the good news that will come from haaland regarding his injury. Haaland has always become the best one as a striker.

If I'm not mistaken, Haaland will return in February but I don't know exactly what date and hopefully before the round of 16 matches start he will be fit again. As a monster, Haaland is always hungry and wants to keep scoring goals, especially now that he is at the top of the top scorer list with 5 goals so far. Haaland competes with Griezzman and Morata from Atletico who have the same goals in the top scorer list.

Haaland is definitely very bored at the moment and I don't think he should rush because the most important thing is to recover from the injury first. I understand that as a young player he always wants more and that is actually very good for his mentality in Europe's biggest competition. Kevin De Bruyne is a key player for Manchester city a d his performance is in no doubts very helpful to Manchester city and on several occasions has helped them secured wins but it still doesn't make him a reason why Manchester city will not thrive, he's an added advantage and we should see it as such and not like the team wouldn't do any better if he's not with them for any reason.

What makes them look more prepared is that they will be facing Paris Saint Germain. Indeed Paris Saint Germain are the best club in Ligue 1, but when it comes to the Champions League I think they are on the same level as Real Sociedad, yes a little better than Real Sociedad.

I don't think that there has ever been a game in the knockout rounds of the Champions League where the bookies gave odds to the team playing away from home lower than 1.1. Everyone who saw how Copenhagen played against Bayern Munich at home, knows that this isn't going to be 0-5 for Manchester City without any effort. The 1.32 rather reflects the possibility that this game has a chance to end in a draw. I don't believe Manchester City will be beaten, but a draw can always happen. Real Sociedad luck is because they are in group D, you could say group D is one of the easiest compared to the other groups. In fact, Inter Milan deserved more to win the group, but they lost in terms of the number of goals and conceded, and Benfica and Salzburg were not comparable opponents, making it easier for Sociedad to advance to the round of 16. I predict Sociedad progress will be stopped in the round of 16 by PSG, the fact that Luis Enrique has often faced them will be a plus point, where Enrique also has better squad depth.
