After yesterday's qualifying round, this year's Quarterfinals witnessed the teams considered the strongest in this tournament. Many attractive clash scenarios can happen. Atletico Madrid is being an the last team who qualified to the quarterfinal stages after dramatically they can able to beat Inter Milan through an penalty shootout and so far Spanish teams has been dominate that stage because they have 3 representative teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and following them England teams and Germany teams has 2 representative each that England has Manchester City and Arsenal but Germany has Dortmund and Bayern Munich and the team who qualified to the quarterfinal is mostly big teams and not impossible some of those big teams will met early on that stage

As far i know for quarterfinal drawing matches there was no more pot 1 or pot 2 which mean every teams have same possibilities to met each other on this stage although they are the teams from the same countries but i expect Manchester City will met Real Madrid on this stage because it could be very interesting because both teams is favourite champion because Real Madrid as the most champion of this competition and Manchester City as defending champion and very interesting to know who is the winner of this match if this really happend

Honestly I didn't think Inter could lose this game, they had even gone ahead and everything was pointing to a passage to the round, but that's ok, it means that this year their goal is just to win the Scudetto. As an Inter fan I am obviously sorry for this defeat, but honour to the winners who deserved more this passage of the round. Unfortunately for Italy there will be no more team to bring further points to the UEFA ranking

This is a very difficult match, and to be honest, I didn't think Inter Milan would lose and Atlético Madrid would qualify. This is because Inter Milan's play this season has led many to believe that they will advance far in the Champions League, but let's be honest, both teams take their games very seriously. However, I don't think Inter Milan performed as well as they could have because they aren't scoring goals the way they used to. Inter Milan will have opportunities to score, but they won't be able to convert shots. That's the nature of the game; no matter how strong a team is, they will eventually lose.

Inter Milan was hoping for better results after reaching the UEFA Champions League final last season. Now, having to stop at the 1/8 round is an unexpected result when coach Simone Inzaghi and his team are in good form and are highly appreciated in the European arena.
Inter Milan players had clear opportunities, especially in the final official minutes of the match. However, the attackers were unable to take full advantage of the opportunities and had to determine victory or defeat on the penalty spot. In this series of lucky shots, Inter Milan's expected stars Alexis Sanchez and captain Lautaro Martinez were not successful, causing the reigning runner-up team to receive a final defeat of 2-3 on the penalty spot and stop.

And as for the game against Atletico madrid vs inter Milan,  I think it was a fair contest, atletico madrid really up their game in this reverse fixture compared to the first encounter between them both, and I feel like their winning is well deserved, because they fought till the very end.

This game was played full of great competition, because currently Atletico Madrid is the best as the strongest. Because the field survived by performing for a long time and still survives in the Champions League with victory. So the performance of the best is always the best, having performed for so long it is a match full of vast experience.

Last night I saw how much I was wrong about Atletico Madrid. I saw Inter as a way higher favourite to reach the quarter finals. Especially after seeing Inter scoring first I was more confident. I think if it weren't for Griezmann's very early answer this comeback might not have got real. We saw how important Griezmann is for this team once again. I saw his condition as doubtful until the game time got very close.

However I think the biggest share in this huge comeback and win belongs to Simeone. Because his moves in the second half made a big impact on the game.    By the way the penalty Lautaro missed might haunt him for a while.

To be honest, Atletico Madrid's performance really impressed me. Because I thought I would see Inter Milan dominating this match as usual. Because we don't see a better performance from Atletico Madrid in the last few matches in La Liga. Atletico Madrid have lost two of their last five matches and drawn one. The team was not in good form.

The only one that I didn't expect to happen was Atletico Madrid's reaching this round. The way they fought back last night was incredible! Simeone is really one of the special managers. The player changes he made directly changed the direction of the match was going.    Oblak was one of the heros of the night thanks to his 2 crucial saves during penalty shoot-outs.

It was really disappointing to see Inter being eliminated while having a wonderful season.    But the job gets really difficult while playing an away match against Atletico Madrid in some way. It is like that especially in the Champions League.

What makes you say so? Because they have a decent season? Judging from the match alone, I'd say Atletico has a slight edge over them. They should've scored probably one or two goals more before they went into penalties IIRC. I think Inter failed to cope with Atletico's attack, probably due to the home advantage since it is clear that their performance was affected by their mentality. As a neutral, I don't favor one over the other, but I'd say Inter's loss is not surprising judging from how the match goes and they should accept it to get better next season. No point saying they didn't lose or were unlucky since it doesn't change anything. Better accept the fact and move on so their next performance will be as good or even better as before.

What a nice performance from dortmund Tonight,I wasn't surprised to see that the outcome of the match was in favor to borussia dortmund, because dortmund have the opportunity to win psv considering the home advantage and also they have more experience in champions league More than psv.however borussia dortmund gained victory in 2 of their previous matches and also succeeded in getting psv wiped out from the champions league this season.I think dortmund is in a very good form this time,well let's see how far they will go in the champions league this season.

Dortmund always have a good record in the Champions League, so I believe they will get the win over PSV at home because their opponent are not good enough when it comes to Champions League. PSV attempts a lot to score goals, but they are not good enough to win. The advantage of playing at home is that they draw the first leg at PSV's home field, Dortmund wins the second leg with two goals, and PSV was unable to score any goals. Sancho has scored two goals to give them the victory in their last two games. He scored the first goal in just three minutes of play. Dortmund is playing well, but not well enough to win any trophy this season.

Atletico Madrid managed to defeat Inter on penalties at home.The normal time of the match was completed 2-1 and the match went to extra time.When the score did not change in extra time, it went to penalties.In the penalties, we saw that so many players missed penalties with stress.Atletico Madrid managed to pass the round by converting 1 penalty into an extra goal.

Seriously, no one expected it again but in the long run, they come back with Depay's equalizer just 3 minutes before the regulementary time. The fans support and shout-outs played some roles despite they were not so sure they could win it. Oblak deserves some appreciation for his outstanding performance too. I wasn't too surprised because Athletico has always been a fighter. They fight and are very dangerous and deadly on counter. I would like to see Athletico winning the UCL this season if not for anything, for the sake of their couch. Simeone has so much love for the game and this team. His action is one of the reason why I sometimes watch Athletico Madrid matches. He doesn't change his pattern for any one, he believes in defense for the title. ATM exceeds played beyong its limit. I couldn't believe how Intermilan lost to this club. Intermilan missed numerous opportunities, and I must also blame some players who are extremely selfish caused by they were not willing to pass the ball to their teammates. They always dribbled the ball as if to say, "Here, I got the ball, and I'm willing to score it by myself."
Inter Milan performed dramatically differently in this game than in the previous leg, which is difficult to understand and i was not expecting this to happen. I never imagined that a club as average as Atletico Madrid could beat Inter Milan. It's insane to see this result occur for intermilan since this club became the favorite club to win the game. In my opinion, Inter Milan completely underperformed in this match.
I'm not sure what made Intermilan's performance so different from when it played in Series A. The game was extremely competitive for both clubs. Neither of them dominated the game, but Intermilan made some mistakes that cost the club a lot of chances to score, forcing it to leave UCL before reaching the quarter-finals this season which is ivery bad to happen to the club.
It was a difficult match for both clubs, and neither was able to dominate the game. Atletico Madrid surprised us by allowing us to advance to the quarterfinal. Amazing performance from atletico madrid. This club played beyong my expectation to the club.

This match is in accordance with what I predicted in the previous post, so don't be surprised if Atletico can appear with their best performance. even though in reality, Diego Simeone's squad did not display a stable performance in the Domestic League competition. but in any case, Atletico Madrid has a chance to overthrow the opposing team. proven, even though they fell behind in the 33rd minute. just two minutes later, Griezmann was able to equalize to make it a 1-1 draw. in this match, both teams used the same pattern and system. even though Inter Milan has more control over ball possession, Atletico plays no less well than Inter Milan. If Inter Milan could score one goal from these two opportunities, when the match has only 10 minutes left, Atletico Madrid would give up as they will need to score two goals to equalize the aggregated result.

After all wasted chances, Inter Milan lost through penalties and they have to regret about it as they actually can do it better.

This match was very exciting because the penalty shootout made us anxious about who would win this match and fortunately, Atlético Madrid was able to score 3 goals and Inter was only able to score 2 goals, even though Atlético Madrid was ahead by scoring 2 goals so increasing Atlético's aggregate total to 5 goals while Inter scored 4 aggregates, creating a golden opportunity for Atlético Madrid to advance to the next round. Now there are 3 representatives from La Liga, namely Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and also Barcelona who are able to reach the quarter-finals. Let's see who will go better. I think Real Madrid is still the favorite here apart from the other teams from La Liga.

For a moment , I actually believed that Arsenal UCL curse will continue and Porto will find a way to win on penalties and qualify further but , how can 3 players shot in the exact target 3 times in a row ? it's normal that the keeper will save at least 1 and Porto wasn't inspired at all when they chose the players for penalties. Anyway, I have massive respect for Pepe and how he played last night and not only and hopefully he will give us another magical year. 

To be honest, when Arsenal entered the penalty shootout, I was convinced that Arsenal would be eliminated. Obviously, when entering the penalty shootout, Porto had more psychological advantages than Arsenal and they were also more experienced. However, it was surprising that all four Arsenal players successfully took the penalty shootout. After watching this match, I think Arsenal is still struggling in the UCL, although currently their form and squad are much clearer than Porto. Especially in this return match, they were playing at home, but the Arsenal striker's ungainliness in front of goal made them struggle quite a bit. It must also be added that this match veteran Pepe on Porto's side played extremely well. Anyway, we must congratulate Arsenal when they come in the UCL quarterfinals after 14 years.

Indeed it was a great and unforgettable night for athletico Madrid after beating inter Milan 2-1 in regulation time to balance the aggregate and also extend the match to extra time. Athletico Madrid seemed like the underdog in this match haven lost the first leg to inter in Milan a couple of weeks ago and everything seemed as if it was going the way of the Italian side until Diego simeone's boys took the lead and forced the Italian side to a penalty shootout  where they finally won by penalties and went through to the next round. For me this week came with a lot of drama, because arsenal had the same situation with Porto.
