Another very boring İstanbul derby that ended 0-0. The teams couldn't even make a shot this time. I don't understand why they are so afraid of each other. They think that getting 1 point is enough. Fenerbahçe doesn't even have an accurate shot. Galatasaray had only one shot on target. It would be okay if the goalkeepers didn't play. Today, the whole of Türkiye saw how empty both teams were. And they were playing to become champions and they thought they were high, but their bubble burst.

After so many talks in the build up to the Istanbul derby  between the two most consistent teams in the Turkish Super Lig,  the result and performance of both teams in the game I can say were absolutely  poor.  A lot was said before the game which attracted the attention of many fans who wanted  to see a very  good game that'll produce goals, exciting and nervous moments but were disappointed to see a goalless  draw in that match.
With that result, fenerbahçe and Galatasaray still occupy the first and second spots respectively in the Turkish league table with the same number of points but are just separated by goal difference. The fight for who wins the league  still continues and hopefully it's gonna go down to the wire.

To be honest, I'm like watching a match in the local league somehow this match is very boring and far from expectations usually we always see a lot of goals but not for this time even Fenerbahce without shots on target, we are motivated when watching Galatasaray play in the champions league and hope they do the same in this match unfortunately that didn't happen. My bet on both teams to score lose even though previously I was very sure this bet would win, I feel trapped damn. I would place the same bet on the final Turkish Super Cup I believe the situation is different because this is an important and decisive match which will be played next December 30.

Last night showed how ineffective Turkish football is nowadays. Don't let national team fool you, they are successful mainly because of good manager and footballers playing high class football at European leagues. Both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have pretty much above average squads compared to European football. Galatasaray was close to going next round in champions league, Fenerbahçe finished conference league as leader in group etc. Both when it comes to football at home, both always show terrible performance. There was literally 1 shot last that could hit goalkeeper (by Ziyech). Whole match was very boring. I think both managers are terrible (Okan and İsmail). Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe deserve lot better managers.

Yes it was quite boring. I thought fenerbahce would start the match with a suffocating press but from the beginning they were content with a draw. When galatasaray settled for a point away from home and didn't take any risks, we watched a positionless, tasteless match. People are very unfair about Icardi to be honest. He is obviosly underperforming because of his injuries that made him gain some weight etc. But in general Galatasaray wingers are also underperforming and having hard time finding Icardi with their passes. I think Zaha and Ziyech should perform better for Icardi to shine. Also, Mertens is experiencing terrible physical/stamina issues lately because of his age. Galatasaray should complete 1 or 2 key transfers in winter period, 1 central defensive midfield to help Torreira and 1 creative, passing winger.
