With the current problem which the two clubs are having currently, they both won’t be able to make it to the top 4 because the two clubs have lots of things that they are supposed to fix, and it’s going to be a gradual process, not something they can just fix easily, so I don’t think both Manchester United and Chelsea will be able to make it to the top 4, and with Manchester United's current performance, I am even expecting them to end the season in the worst position and not expecting anything special from them this season.
 
I won’t just be surprised if I see Manchester United end the season in the middle of the table. With their current performance, I just have the feeling that that’s where they're going to end the season because their coach is not making any impact on the team.

Manchester United's main problem at the start of this season was that they did not have a truly productive striker and a strong defense. In 3 matches, Manchester United was only able to score 2 goals and conceded 5 goals. This statistic illustrates how weak they are compared to other teams, even Chelsea is still better if goal productivity is compared.

So far, Chelsea also doesn't have a strong defense, of course because they are as bad as Manchester United, where they have conceded 5 goals in 3 matches. Chelsea and Manchester United are not favorites to be in the top four at the end of the season, but they could improve over time and gain the best places.

Forget about Manchester united attack and defense, which part of their squad is working perfectly? Absolutely none. Starting from the head couch who makes irrelevant changes to their goal keeper who makes silly mistakes that usually lead to goals. The midfield is not left out too with their lack of coordination and constant losing of possessions. The attack is worse than any other position you can think of.

I'm fair enough to predict them finishing at position eight on the table. Enzo Maresca's defense choice has a lot of scrutiny but I won't judge more till next season or January let's see if there will be an improvement at the Cb especially

Comparing Chelsea with Manchester United at this struggling time is not a bad idea the only difference i see between them is that one has just newly employed aa new coach and the other have been trying to wait and see if their coach can still make a difference after being at the club for more than 2 seasons now. Both teams are struggling with their defense and are also struggling to see how to work the attack out and bring them back to form which i think will be difficult. In my opinion i still see Chelsea to be a better team and with the new coach at hand they are ambitious and we can see aa difference soon, Chelsea’s defensive line is still not good enough at the moment but i believe when given time they can improve and become a solid back line in the league, the new coach is trying to instill an advanced playing style to make them better which is at work already and progressing gradually in just a few months we can already see the difference the new manager is trying to make but the same cannot be said for Manchester United.

Manchester United have been with Ten Hag for about 2 seasons and we aare still yet to spot a difference, nothing is improving and even the new players bought are not picking up, they signed more players but I don’t think there will be any difference if the manager doesn’t come up with a playing style or teach them how to play effectively. Ten Hag needs to put in more effort to bring out the best in his players because he has quality players too and they should be able to perform better than this.

We don't see good performance on the field from this team but from strike position to defense position if every player's name is mentioned then it will be seen that every player's name is very big there. They have good players in their team but these good players are not performing well for the team. What is the problem with the players not performing well because they are getting the yearly salary. The management is not paying much attention to the matter so the ordinary supporters who are there are now more worried about Manchester United. Manchester United should have made this decision much earlier if the change of manager is going to bring good results. This may not be possible this season, but if this continues, the current manager must be removed from Manchester United next season.

Manchester United performance so far has not been in good condition and deserves to be a title contender in the English league even though they have spent a lot of money in the transfer market, the arrival of players like Zirkzee, De Ligt, Mazraoui and also Ugerte should make them stronger, especially previously they has many quality players in its squad, Ten Hag performance in coaching Manchester United previously has been evaluated by management, but for some reason it seems like management has turned a blind eye to Manchester United poor performance so far, previously many even thought that Ten Hag would be fired considering his failure in the last season, but what happened instead was that they trusted Ten Hag again and offered a new contract to continue managing Manchester United, so I think if Ten Hag doesn't immediately change and modify their style of play, it will be difficult for Manchester United to immediately rise and become title contenders this season.

It seems inappropriate to say it is a transition period because after all, this season is Erik ten Hag third season at Manchester United and thus, it is Erik ten Hag obligation to be able to make Manchester United have good quality and performance. Also about the players in the Manchester United squad, at least the players in the Manchester United squad from last season were also Erik ten Hag chosen players by bringing them in at that time.

So, if Erik ten Hag still fails to improve the quality and performance of Manchester United in his third season this season, then honestly it is a failure and it is indeed quite appropriate for Manchester United to look for a new manager. But maybe, Manchester United can still give Erik ten Hag a chance  but if these bad results continue until the middle of the season, then of course it is time for Erik ten Hag to be fired and it is also time for Manchester United to get a better manager.

This is true though but I don't think Chelsea may experience positive improvement from all these defenders maybe season notably Badiashile, I think this guy ought to be loaned at most while Fofana I have much hope on his improvement since he was out for long. While the likes of Levi Colwill, T. Adarabioyo and Disasi may also improve notably Levi who is getting more game time. The LB and RB are more solid than the CB's as t Chelsea, so my main concern is quick improvement of the CB's.

Ten Hag has fails to see his shorts comings now because of the fact that he has won trophies while he ignore the fact that his team has always been too poor to be consistent in the Epl and especially from the fact that he got the players he requested this season, he has little to no excuse. If we are thinking realistically considering the current performances then my ranking would be like:

- Manchester City
- Arsenal
- Liverpool
- Brighton
- Tottenham Hotspur
- Aston Villa
- Chelsea
- Newcastle United
- Manchester United

I would love to put Arsenal ahead of Manchester City but there is still an obvious gap unfortunately. Otherwise I already want Arsenal to win the league title finally. 

Liverpool look solid but they have a new manager so I need to watch them more. I can trust Arteta more than Arne Slot now.

The reason why I put Chelsea ahead of Newcastle is that I believe they have a bigger potential. I put Manchester United to the last position because they are playing horrible. 

Arsenal have started on a good note, two wins in three games and a controversial draw against Brighton. Looking at the current strength and squad depth of Arsenal you can tell that they are in better shape this season to survive the many games and tough fixtures to come. Manchester City are looking good too. I won’t rate Newcastle to finish above Manchester United because they are not a consistent side and Manchester United have a habit of picking up their pace towards the end of the season.

I would say their offense isn't really as bad as their defense to be fair. I am not saying that it's great, but if we had to compare the two parts then I would say that we are going to see it change a lot more and it could be something that will change a lot. We should consider this to be something that will take a while and we can't really consider this to be something that's too simple neither.

United is dealing with an overall issue I can see that as well, but with a better manager I think they could be better, it's clear that they are not as bad as they should be, the team on paper looks good, but for some reason ETH makes them play terrible and the sad thing is that he denies he has anything to do with it and blames the players as well. I would fire any manager that puts the blame on players on the spot, seriously if I was a team owner and manager told the public that the players are the reason and he is innocent, I would fire him there on the press conference itself.

Ten Hag joined United as a manager in May 2022, so that's over 2 years. If he didn't make it to properly set the team by now, probably it will never happen.
I was really surprised the club owners decided to keep him in. I suspect it could simply be due to them not being able to find a suitable replacement. But, unless some miracle happen, this is almost certainly his last season in the club. Man United cannot afford to stay outside of the top 4 for multiple years in a row. They need the revenue from the Champions League as well as from selling merchandise to fans worldwide, which is not easy when they end up in the middle of the table.

A nice pick though, but I don't know why people think that Chelsea will perform better this season. I personally do not see Chelsea doing better than Aston Villa this season. Although, Aston Villa is going to be distracted by the champions league as it is their first in the recent time, but I strongly believe they will finish above Chelsea in the table. I also do not trust Tottenham at all. Also, if Manchester United could change their coach, they'll definitely make the top 4.

I am also not sure Chelsea will be able to be in the top 5 because their performance is still doubtful this season unless Chelsea still stick with the same coach as last season maybe Chelsea can be better last season Chelsea finished in 6th place thanks to Pochettino but I think this season maybe Chelsea will finish in the middle of the table maybe 10th place.
Meanwhile I am not sure about your choice that puts Manchester United in 4th place in the standings because in my opinion Man United is not better than Tottenham and Aston Villa I estimate Man United might finish in 8th place in the final standings this season even though they change coaches, because the current Man United players are not in their best form and the new coach who will replace Erik Ten Hag must be able to revive the club's motivation and it is not easy it definitely takes time.

Compared to the previous season, Liverpool's performance in this season is good and more organized. Liverpool's performance has been stabilized with the help of Arne Slott. Well said to be honest with you. Erik Ten Hag has been here for a good while now, and his style of play is just unrecognizable till now. If they had been winning games as often as they lose or draw, this would have been impressive because an unrecognizable style of play can be crucial, no one can beat you that way. But in reality, his style of football is weird, because he wants his team to transition very well. Apparently, the best transitioning team in the world were his supposed goal. Well, not quite, clearly.

If it was something like he had inherited a squad where he was not allowed to invest much and then struggled, it would have been understandable, but no, that's not the case either. So is it the players being lazy and not picking up on the tactics..? Or is it bad coaching, where Erik Ten Hag cannot really implement a proper style of play into the players? Whatever it is, ETH has to take charge now and fix things.

Enzo Maresca is an ambitious man, and has great footballing sense. For whatever atrocity Chelsea's owners do on the market cannot be blamed upon Enzo Maresca. He is doing great things and trying to fix the Chelsea squad to develop a winning team. I think with some time, the team can reach far, and at this moment, they are better than United for sure.

Arsenal is done with their injury waves at the early season. They looked bad with so many midfielders injured. They're missing Rice, Ode, and Merino in the upcoming game. This will make them struggle to win the upcoming game against Spurs. It gives City and Liverpool chances to widen their gap to them if they lose against Totenham.

A new Liverpool manager is not a good reason to underestimate their performance. In fact, they're still using the same squad that was competing for the title race last season. And they're getting better.

That's why i think Arsenal may be finishing below Liverpool.

Picking the first ten clubs in the Premier League Competition shouldn't be based on just the recent performance ( which I see a whole lotta people doing ) but should be long term. Manchester United has did good business when it comes to the defense. With consistency Erik Ten Hag with fill up the potholes. They have one of the best depth in defense unlike last season with too many Injuries. Glad to also see Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia joining in soon. There's nothing control.V about placing them there they would be third place at the end of the campaign next season. I won't say they have a better squad but this one would be consistent.

I don't see them sacking Erik Ten Hag. Manchester United fans are just too impatient. Prior to the new season, Erik Ten Hag told the press how the sqaud is not ready. And don't forget, you want change and growth, then you have to give the manager time yes this might be his third season in charge but emphasis on the time. They'll deff start winning soon ( Southampton ) hopefully Garnacho and Amad are the flankers.

I also have my fair share of doubts about City's performance. If Haaland faces injury this season, Manchester City's performance will be erratic, I'm sure. Manchester United should not sell Alvarez at all. Alvarez's excellent performances have helped to keep Manchester City's overall performance consistent. Alvarez's goals have also led to City wins in several key matches. I look forward to seeing which player Guardiola selects as Haaland's replacement if Haaland suffers an injury.



This season I think Liverpool team is in the best rhythm. Liverpool won all three matches. But the most important thing is that this team has not conceded a single goal in three matches. Liverpool performed brilliantly in this match. On the other hand, I had high expectations from Arsenal. However, Arsenal failed to win against Brighton in the last match. Well, I support your opinion about Arsenal condition at the start of this season which was so bad having to lose important players who were injured. Realistically Arteta will have a little difficulty dealing with this problem because it is not clear who will replace the player when he is absent from the match. Maybe the situation can change when playing at home, but unfortunately Arsenal have to play away and have no choice but to try to get 1 point from Spurs. On the one hand in the upcoming match Man City and Liverpool get very easy opponents. So if in the match this weekend if Arsenal loses points it will likely end badly.

there is absolutely no transition that man united is undergoing now. At the moment, we can't point at the future of the club or identify what they are even working on that has made them this unstable. For the Chelsea team, we know what's thier problem is the new set of players that lack some form of experience in the team and you can see them growing and becoming more matured and stable with more games they've played but that's never the case with man united. Almost all the players have turned out to be average players right from the onana that's still creating different scenes in almost all the games he's featured in to other experience players like rashford, and casimero that are both dropping in Thier form at every games they've played. Don't be supprised that after returning from this break and going up against southernton, they might draw the game or even suffer a defeat in that game. If they allowed Liverpool play them in thier home ground as though they where playing against a team that's just coming out of the academy or one that's in a relegated zone, is it when they play away that they will do better? Let them underate Southampton first and get the shorker of thier lives. This season is a tough one and any team you're going against, you have to brace up as though you're an underdog or else you receive the highest beating of your life.

I would love to put Arsenal ahead of Manchester City but there is still an obvious gap unfortunately. Otherwise I already want Arsenal to win the league title finally.  

Liverpool look solid but they have a new manager so I need to watch them more. I can trust Arteta more than Arne Slot now.

The reason why I put Chelsea ahead of Newcastle is that I believe they have a bigger potential. I put Manchester United to the last position because they are playing horrible.  

Arsenal have started on a good note, two wins in three games and a controversial draw against Brighton. Looking at the current strength and squad depth of Arsenal you can tell that they are in better shape this season to survive the many games and tough fixtures to come. Manchester City are looking good too. I won’t rate Newcastle to finish above Manchester United because they are not a consistent side and Manchester United have a habit of picking up their pace towards the end of the season.

I think for this season Arsenal position will not be different from what happened last season and even with the number of their players injured at the moment it seems like second place will also be difficult for them to achieve, Liverpool and Newcastle in my opinion are more likely to occupy positions 2 and 3 considering their performance they have been very consistent so far, while Brighton and Aston Villa look like one of the two clubs will fail to make it into the top 5, because there is no guarantee that they can continue to maintain their performance this season, especially since Aston Villa will be faced with a busy schedule with playing in champions league so clearly it will affect their consistency in the future, while the battle for the top 4 positions I think will happen between tottenham, arsenal and chelsea, most likely one of them will get it at the end of the season, if  you are still include Manchester United in the team list which will end the season in European competition, I personally doubt that at this time Manchester United will be worthy of getting a place  evenin the European zone in end season later.

So far, it has not been seen, they have not been able to play stably. Ten Hag should have probably had to leave. Maybe currently there are those who think that Man United is going through a transition period, but there is no development.

Currently on the International break, this weekend Man United will play Southampton. They were going to St. Mary. Southampton is not a good team either, as they are currently in the relegation zone. They should be able to get 3 points or at least a draw.

Ten Hag has spent two seasons of his career with Manchester United and now he has entered his third season there, there is no longer a transition period for a coach who has handled the team in his third season, especially since the management has spent a lot of money to facilitate him to bring in quality players. The sacking must be done immediately before it is too late, two defeats in three games indicate that Ten Hag is incompetent to handle Manchester United.

Ten Hag must target a win at Southampton to boost the players' confidence, the opponents they face after the international break are very weak, three points must be brought home to improve their position in the standings.
