Chelsea ain't finishing second to Arsenal, never they don't have what it takes for that, making it to top four is acceptable,

I know Chelsea won’t be able to win the premier league title this season, and I don’t know if they going to end the season in second position, but I know Chelsea are going to perform well this season, and they should be able to qualify for the champions league. Chelsea started the season well, and Chelsea attack line look so dangerous, it’s going to be difficult for any club playing against Chelsea to stop Chelsea from scoring.

Chelsea is still having some problems, their defense line is still vulnerable, and Sanchez performance was terrible against  Fulham, but am sure Sanchez will improve in subsequent matches, and am sure Alonso will definitely work on Chelsea defense, but they really having a strong attack, and I expect them to perform so well this season.

Manchester City was not good, Manchester United was awfull, Totenham was also awfull, Arsenal was good like the past season, and Chelsea seems to start a recovery and looking for better shape and Liverpool was also not good despite playing against a tough rival like Newcastle.

So basically 4 teams of the big six are not in good shape in this start at all, and only one did a really good game which was the current champion, this give Arsenal a margin to be again the champion i think (i know is super early yet).

I think you are not far from the truth on your analysis after the first week of the premier league. Arsenal is still the standout team amongst the top 6 teams and they are still the favorite for the Premier League,  but I will not want to conclude to early. I was impressed with Chelsea too yesterday,  but I think they really think they need to work on their defense if they are really interested in competing for the title. As for Manchester City,  Manchester united,  Liverpool and Tottenham they were really poor and they need to improve else some of them will not even make it to any European competition next season.

Chelsea is still a work in progress for the new manager Xabi Alonso. Their attacking play is impressive but just like you rightly said, they're still a work in progress. I expect them to do better defensively in their upcoming games.

I believe Chelsea will do better this season, and I'm saying this with no doubt, they will come up with something stronger. With the way they played Fulham that yesterday, I can say they are going to cook, more especially to their attacking front, it is something that is catching to watch. Nottingham Forest are on course to lose two consecutive matches to Leeds United since the start of the new Premier League as proof of this, we can see that Nottingham Forest were defeated by Leeds United in the opening match of the new Premier League, despite playing well.But today they had a chance to take revenge on their own field, but they did not perform accordingly, which makes it very clear that they are still 2 goals behind in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Nottingham Forest should improve their squad and their management should buy the best players, perhaps with that goal in mind, they are interested in signing England forward Liam Delap for £45 million, the Chelsea player didn't perform at his best last season but we still believe he will make great progress at Nottingham Forest.

The game is over now, and Forest has successfully lost 2 games to Leeds United in this opening stages of the season, this is a very disappointing start for Forest.
Liam Delap had an impressive performance at Ipswich last 2 seasons, and I think that was why Chelsea signed him. But unfortunately for him, João Pedro picked excellent form,  and he was then placed as first choice. This is a chance for Delap to finally prove himself again, I think he will be a good signing for Forest, and he will certainly be a player to watch. 

The Forest squad looks okay to me, they have good forwards as well as midfielders, but I think they should do more in their defense.

Everyone is just impressed with the Chelsea match against Fulham but forgetting that things don't always stay constant with chelsea so even though you are a fan always have it at the back of your mind that they can disappoint but that doesn't mean you shouldn't hope for the big performance.

I think Delap made a very good choice to play at Forest. Even though it is not a big club that winning will be guarantee at all cost but at least he will get to be in the first choice of the 11 starters. I hope he don't get to under perform at Forest. This is a good deal for them though. Lately last season, forest has not been too good in terms of performance and this is one thing that has lead them to this season, to kick off their underperforming reign, hope they tend to get into some spike up back again. Let's see what the season holds.

Arsenal are heavy favorite to win Premier league again because the way Arteta put discipline in this team are not normal they look like a super team score one goal and then defend him until the end look like a war zone of harmball Haha. I just want to see Arteta vs xabi Alonso game and it will be the best match in the whole Premier League season. Chelsea under Xabi Alonso look promising but as you said they are not consistent and I agree but if Xabi Alonso take this responsibility seriously then we can see a different Chelsea.

Hold on a minute, why are you so quick to jump to conclusions? It’s as if you already know the future. You know the Premier League is extremely competitive. Nothing is impossible. Never underestimate Chelsea. This season, Chelsea started off with a win, and I see a glimmer of hope in how their style of play has improved under Xabi’s guidance. So, it’s best not to jump to conclusions just yet about where Chelsea will stand at the end of the season. After all, the Premier League has only just begun.

I agree with you regarding Arsenal. Last season was likely an outlier with a great deal of luck.

The way they looked against PSG hints they aren't really that strong too.

I think Manchester City despite losing two key players will manage to win the league once again, although Chelsea could challenge them.

This EPL season is going to be one of the most unpredictable of the last few years imho.

Arsenal's next fixture will give better hint on their current form. Coventry just got promoted after 25 years of been out of the premier league so for me I won't rate Arsenal performance yet based on their first game. Their next game should be with Aston Villa who I expect to be a bit challenging even though they lost their first game to Brighton. Xabi vs Arteta game might end up not been the most exciting game of the season, but I will keep my fingers crossed until 6th of Sep to see what comes out of their first clash.

I agree with you that Chelsea won the match because they were lucky. Fulham had a lot of attacks but Chelsea defended well to get the full points. Even so, I would say Chelsea deserved to win because they played very systematically and with discipline. The team was attacking from the start of the match, which was evident in the first minute when João Pedro scored. The match was very entertaining for every fan because both teams were attacking throughout the match. With a 3-2 goal difference, Fulham was more attacking in the final minutes of the match, but Chelsea did not give up any chances to take revenge.

Nottingham forest has a lot of work to do to improve their performance, it wasn't any mistakes that leed united defeat them twice.
They were defeated 1:0 in the premier league as if that wasn't enough,leed united trash them 2:0 in the EFL cup. If they can be defeated by leed united,it might be worse if they play against arsenal or Manchester city,I can't imagine what the outcome will be against these team.

This is what they should have done before now. It's simple,signed more quality players, because there is no way they can do well in the season if they don't sign players. Liam delap is a good choice but I fear they need to sign more players because liam can't be able to improve their overall performance.

Hmm even if they bring in Barcola, will that solve the problem they are having? They've got enough star players already.

I have nothing else to say, if you think that would be the outcome by the end of the season, fine. In my opinion, they will be runners up.

However, I don't have much confidence in Manchester City, and especially after the departure of their main coach Pep Guardiola and after watching their FA Community Shield match with their new coach Enzo Maresca, I have a lot of doubts about how far Manchester City can actually go in the season. And if I talk about Arsenal, then I have high hopes for them, you say winning two titles in a row is a very rare event for them. But given their current team's performance, it would seem natural to me that this rare event of winning two titles in a row will materialize this season. However, nothing can be said for sure, it is the beginning of the season and this is only the first matchday of the league, so let's see what happens.

As you said, if Chelsea are to go this far, then they will definitely need to improve their defence and their goalkeeper. We have been seeing problems with Chelsea's goalkeeper for a long time. If we see improvement in Chelsea's defence, then we can definitely expect to see a lot of good things from Chelsea this season. There were quite some questioning observations in our game against Fulham, yes we won but it was another night to remember us that we might have to worry about our back line.

It isn't really easy for us to lift a trophy without a solid backline or goalie even if our attack seems good. Looking back at our past triumph we can see that we were having a solid backline or so with an in form goalie, I hope Sanchez van be consistent and also our second choice Penders really good for the task while hoping for an additional Cb before the season ends.

A lot of attacking options and talents are available but the defensive line is one hell of a disorganized part of the squad. If you notice in their match against Fulham as soon as they lost possession and Fulham hit them with a counter, the backline always panicked and make mistakes and to top it up, Sanchez was just making wrong decisions in terms of his positioning. I just hope they sort all those out before they meet the likes of Arsenal or Man City.
