Aston Villa should have done much better,they didnt create any chances in this match and Arsenal went a goal up and thats the only thing they needed to start playing their football. Later on in the game Arsenal just wasted time and played how much they needed and got the win like they always do and like they did in the last season.

Aston Villa did a good job of keeping Arsenal’s attacks under control and played this match quite well. However, Aston Villa started the season in very poor form, while Arsenal are in excellent form, I think that’s the main reason Arsenal managed to win. It’s unusual to see Aston Villa on a losing streak. After all, we’re used to seeing them as a much stronger team under Emery. Hopefully, they’ll be able to recover soon and find their form more quickly, because the season has already started, and losing to everyone is obviously not a good sign.

But Arsenal finally managed to take advantage of one of the chances through Saka. Saka scored the goal at the last opportunity and made the difference in the match. So you are right that Arsenal did not create many chances. But they took advantage of one chance and scored.

In fact, football is such that players do not always need to create chances. Sometimes one important moment changes the outcome of the entire match. For Arsenal, it was a challenge to create chances and take advantage of them.

This is what you get when two teams with strong defense meet, there's not going to be many chances on goal and the scoreline would be thin, since teams that would score would have to do a lot of work to convert a chance.  Arsenal goal was a struggle, it didn't come easily. Although Arsenal's strikers tried to increase the gap further, Villa strengthened their defence and also increased the pace of the attack. Well the tables always tend to look weird early on in the season like this but don’t worry, the real picture is soon gonna start showing after like 8-10 games have been played and when fixture congestion, injuries and the first real test hits.
Until then, it’s all just vibes and small samples.

Arsenal did well to try and win Aston villa even though i expected more from them but i won’t blame them or the coach.
So far they have not conceded anything in the league so it’s safe to say arteta is definitely doing something right.

New 2 games, and immediately take seriously the standings position will be very funny. The EPL was a long and tiring journey. The game is always different when it's between Arsenal and Aston villa. Don't forget that Villa's coach was the former coach of Arsenal, and even there keeper, Martinez was also Arsenal's former goal keeper, though he is now a Chelsea keeper. Unai Emery will always want to win Arsenal, and will not allow them win with ease. Aston villa wins sometimes too, while Arsenal wins most of the times. But anytime they meet, wether anyone is in good form more than the other, just like Arsenal was good and Aston villa not too good, but anytime they meet, there will always be a serious match. To Arsenal, they managed to win, but it wasn't easy for them.

From my own POV, Xabi Alonso is not having the best start to his Chelsea job even though he has won his first two league games, it does not remove the fear that comes with a loose defence. Conceding 5 goals in two matches is on the high side which means that the attackers must have to continue scoring repeatedly to be able to sustain a game. Arsenal won the league last season conceding only 27 goals for the season. That means that if the goals were spread through the 38 matches, they still had many clean sheets. Defence is very important in every team so it's better for Xabi Alonso to focus and build the defence now before they will start meeting the bigger boys. Brighton is not a small team either but more is expected from the back side.

With what I understand in that match, it absolutely cleared that Brighton have mastered Chelsea very well, because for Chelsea to have that early goals and still end up the match with a different of one goal is absolutely crazy. There next match will be against Arsenal and as we all know arsenal are the current champion and they will like to defend themselves, which I found that match to be very tough because both teams are in winning track even though the season is just starting.

However, this narrow win was not an easy one for Arsenal, and in my view, Aston Villa were outstanding, showing their potential to be on equal ground with any EPL team, even former winners. ^{Their most recent European trophy speaks for itself.} So, despite their losses at the start of the season, it would not be easy to write Aston Villa off as a loser this season. This team will be a cut above dozens of EPL teams.

Anyways, the most important thing in that match was that the scored early and held on the end. A win is a win, it's not just about luck but about consistency and determination.

You shouldn't forget whose ground the match was hosted. Aston villa might not have defeated Brighton but it doesn't mean that they can be defeated easily by any big teams. Manchester City, who were expecting Arsenal to drop points, were disappointed. Arsenal managed to win, albeit with difficulty, against a tough opponent like Aston Villa. Aside last season which Arsenal did win with a 3 goal margin at the Emirates stadium Arsenal over the years have been struggling in the hand of this Aston Villa side, in fact the two seasons that Arsenal bottled the league Aston Villa were one of the teams that actually took crucial points off them and that’s why you see that big celebration by the Arsenal players after this narrow win yesterday. Aston Villa remain a big threat to Arsenal regardless of the playing ground but I do get your point that it gets harder when the playing ground is actually Villa park but this is not for Arsenal alone but also for almost all clubs in the league.

Next stop for both clubs is tricky games, for Arsenal is a London Derby against arch rivals Chelsea who sincerely have been flying already, Arsenal are yet to concede a goal this season but they welcome the blues who have been the highest goal scoring side in the league already, so it’s a pretty tricky derby. As for Aston Villa they visit MKM stadium to visit the newly promoted Hull City who have picked up maximum points in their two opening games having also Humbled Manchester United at this ground too. Unai Emery side will definitely have to put in a similar or even better performance they put up against Arsenal to get anything away from this game

Chelsea failure to win last three Premier league match against Brighton does not mean Brighton is a better team, it means Chelsea is becoming more poorer. When I say poor, I'm not talking about finance here, I'm talking about their performance. Apparently, when a bigger team performance depreciate significantly, you'll start thinking the average team performance has improved. I agree with Accardo on this. Chelsea hasn't feature a strong team yet but even against the small teams, they did not win convincingly. They struggled but it doesn't matter since they were able to get the three points. Although I admit their performance improve compared to last season but I would be exaggerating if I say they're a strong team now. It's too early to make conclusion now on the state and strength of their squad.

Yet to win a game and yet to score a goal. They lost 4 goals to nil against Brighton and the same followed against defending. They could face same faith when they travel to face Hull City come Saturday. I mean, we all know how Hull City has won games against Manchester United and then Coventry last weekend. We should see either a 2 goals to nil outcome or 1-1 and that'll be them struggling to get a goal out of the game.
They had such terrible start last season, which caused their fans to panic but Unai Emery and his boy turned things around. I don't see them winning the next game though, most definitely a draw will be fine. Hull City are currently buzzing, watched a podcast where the owner said, "he intends to stay and not return relegated"

Congratulations to Arsenal for this win, though I wasn't expecting less, the only thing I'm surprised about this game is the fact that it's only but a goal that comes out of the game, I was actually expecting more, either both teams to score but based on how tough the game was they were able to record just one goal, and that's a big plus to the winner of the game, which is Arsenal, had it been they drew or lost this game their form would have been in doubt, but the good thing is they won, and that's a big deal to them.
