I will clarify that as an addiction. I believe that the successful gambler will not even miss a single time for gambling. A successful gambler meant someone who has been successfully beating the system and winning the jackpot.
That being said, the chance for that to happen is very small. The gamblers need hardly try to beat the system so many times. This process can be called compulsive gambling which will lead to additional gambling.
That's why i define such a winner has become addicted to gambling caused by you will not have a chance to win the jackpot with only a few bets.
I believe a successful gambler has been wasting a lot of money, energy even his focus to play gambling. It will be very correct to call that as addiction rather than compulsive.

I would consider such gambler as a pure winner rather than a gambling addict because the user is earning a substantial income from playing those games and if he/she is generating a good amount of money from gambling then it would be unfair to call such a gambler as an addict. It's a truth that as long as someone is earning from gambling and isn't overdoing it then that person is a winner, and it would be totally unfair to call him/her an addict.

If someone is really a gambling addict then that user will do anything for gambling as such people are so intensely addicted with gambling that they could literally sell their useful stuff to gain some money which they then utilize in gambling activities. I don't think that I have seen any successful gambler in my lifetime but it there is one then that gambler must have cheated nature by using his addiction to be successful in gambling.

Addicted people finds it difficult to be successful because they are been carried away by their emotions and will keep on chasing their loss without knowing when to stop gambling. Looking at it from the other side if the person's destiny is in gambling, then such person will have the luck to be successful in gambling.

First off, people should know that gambling addicts doesn't mean that they are the kind of person who is on the sundown of their life and is already digging their own grave because being an addict is somehow an advantage because that just mean that you've already put up the work and time towards it and with the right mindset, that factor will help you towards success. I won't shy from the fact that there are people who are living on gambling, those people can't tell me they are not addicts, yet they are making their money from it. It's rare to see a successful gambler but there are some consistent winners. In my country, there are some that would suit up in the morning, while others would be in their casual wear and will only be back from the gambling house in the evening. This is what some will ever do, while some of them did it until they could gather money to start a business and still continue with their gambling.

These are examples of gambling addicts, but it's positive for them. The truth is that addiction is not always bad, it's only bad when it's becoming negative to your life.

I think there are successful professional poker players with playing skills above the average of others so they can win in many poker games.
But the games in the casino will provide the biggest profit for the casino so that even if there are gamblers who can win, their total winnings are still smaller than the casinos.

What you said does not answer the question, we of course see gambling addicts as failures because they are failures as they can't manage their finances and gambling activities in a good way to get any success if they are capable of it, but when someone is a successful gambler, can we call them an addict as well? I would be that confident that professional gamblers or successful ones did really come into a point on which they had become addicted with gambling in some point on their career but they had able to overcome it

for sure and now they do able to know on what are the things must avoided and what things should be engaged. We cant really be able to tell on what are the things that they had experienced or going through before they would be able to reach out that particular state.
