First of, I'm 100% against the notion that gamblers only gambling because they do not have enough or sufficient money to fend for their needs, no, that assertion is totally wrong. Yes the purpose of gambling is to make extra money, having extra money is different from having insufficient money. The only solution to sufficient money I see is simple - finding new or extra work. Maybe it is ok to make a so called safe bet, but it will bring little money only. I don't because I'm poor. I gamble only when I have money to spare. I have a day job that pays me well so poverty is not my motivation.
I do admit I have gambled online to get the transaction fees to withdraw as I prefer withdrawing in fewer digit amounts and lost all in some cases. I might also have gambled to get a fixed amount online to get something done but that should not be considered poverty,
