I don't agree that Liverpool didn't show interest in the competition, they did. They were simply outplayed by Atalanta. I think Liverpool overrated themselves or they underrated Atalanta. Most Liverpool fans felt it would be a walk in the park because they were playing at home too. English fans need to follow other leagues more often, EPL teams are not the only good teams in Europe.

I don't think Liverpool will make a comeback against Atalanta. I'm not saying it's not possible, but it's extremely difficult considering the fact they're they're playing away from home. How are they going to score 4 goals and make sure Atalanta doesn't score at home?

I know that klopp tries to save salah for the PL competitions but klop forget that if the situation is getting even stricter at europa league. You know that these Italian clubs are more into defensive play pattern, and that is what will happen when Liverpool will face them in Italy. It will be a difficult task for Liverpool and I don't see anything good coming out from that match for Liverpool.

Liverpool as team were very poor last night and the words of the club manager Jurgen Klopp at the end of the game strongly backs my claim. I think the team had already underestimated the strength of their opponents before the game so weren't expecting the shock they got last night.
Now they have a mountain to climb when they travel to Italy for the second leg of the tie because the Atalanta we all saw last night would never want to lose after leading the first leg with a three goal deficit.
