Paris has entered a process of restructuring in basketball. The team, including their coach Splitter and except for Nadir Hifi, has completely disbanded.
Nadir's situation is uncertain.
If a good and goal-oriented team makes an offer, Nadir can also go.
In my eyes, the most striking TJ Shorts went to Panathinaikos.
Jantunen came to Fenerbahçe.
Nadir's name is associated with Hapoel.
If he goes to Hapoel, Hapoel could be the strongest Euroleague championship candidate next season.
Because they have built a very good team.

You forgot Ward, who joined Olympiakos and was very good last year. Undoubtedly one of the key players for their great run. As for Hapoel, they will need more than the players that they have already on their roster to be among the strong favorites for the upcoming Euroleague season. So far, they have a good team but not great. Only their coach can consider it as such, Dimitris Itoudis.

Tarık Biberovic didn't go to the NBA. He signed a new three-year contract with Fenerbahçe.
He may not have earned the money he wanted in the NBA.
Tarık showed great development at Fenerbahçe, where he joined at a very young age.
He was 17 when he joined Fenerbahçe.
The details of his contract and his salary were not disclosed, but I believe he received a good salary.

To be fair, he doesn't really have the stats in the Euroleague that would warrant a move to the NBA, especially when he is "already" 24 years old, so there is not much development to be expected. Scoring around 11 points per game and only 2.5 rebs and 1.5 assists per game doesn't really fill up the stat sheet, that's what NBA teams are looking for though.

It's as you said. Although Biberovic is a good player, he doesn't have the package that NBA teams want/demand. However, I don't believe that a player at his 24 years is done in terms of evolving and becoming better as years pass. He needs to work hard and play as much as possible, and while he can find this in Fener, the NBA will not give him the time or the space that he needs for this. It's a good move both for him and Fener, and I'm sure that his numbers will be better year by year.

I agree, a player that's 24 years old can still have some development in front of us, it's limited though. Players enter their prime at around 27 years old, before that there is time to shape their game and body. A player that is like 21 years old and puts him his numbers obviously would be FAR more interesting for a team in the NBA since he would have a much higher upside.
While Biberovic of course is a great player, he is on a different level skill and production wise cause European basketball is still way different compared to what's played in the NBA. If you want to make it there it's basically essential to make the move over to the states as early as possible. The longer you wait the smaller the window for success is becoming.

That's true as well, but let's not forget how many great players go to the NBA at an older age. However, youngsters with full and powerful statistics will always be more attractive to the NBA teams.
We have a great, surprising signing actually, from Virtus Bologna. Carsen Edwards leaves Bayern after 2 years there and becomes a Virtus player. For sure, this move makes them stronger and far better. I wonder why none of the other teams doesn't try to get him.
Btw, I know that is irrelevant, but we had the same incident on the summer league like the one we saw on the U19 tournament some days earlier, so I thought it would be fun to post about it. It seems that this is starting to become common... Cheesy Eric Reynolds scored, Milan Topic was stunned!

Vasilije Micic joins Hapoel Tel Aviv! Vasa finally got the money they wanted.

Hapoel Tel Aviv announced the signing of Vasilije Micic with the note, "No more rumors." Micic will earn €18 million over three years.
I think he got paid very well. Hapoel has built a great team, too.
I think they're aiming for the EuroLeague championship.

Indeed, he gets more than the money that he had ever dreamed of, and Hapoel gets a star that Itoudis wanted badly. Things are getting pretty interesting now, and we still have more than a lot of time for extra moves from all the teams. Let's see what else will happen. Tongue

Damn, they are really spending the big bucks and definitely will be the front runners to winner their domestic league with this roster. Though I am not so sure about the Euroleague.
Just had to google why this team is so rich now and saw that their budget for the next season is 40 million euro, compared an an already quite big 25 million last season, that's crazy for "Europe".

This is very serious statement. $18 millions in 3 years or $6 million per season, it's one of biggest contracts in Euroleague history. Not sure that they can become Euroleague champions in their first season, but it will be one of the most interesting teams to watch. Only sad that they won't be able to play at home :/.
Meanwhile it seems that Valanciunas transfer to Panathinaikos won't happen. Most likely that he will stay in NBA and play for Nuggets.

Just had to google why this team is so rich now and saw that their budget for the next season is 40 million euro, compared an an already quite big 25 million last season, that's crazy for "Europe".

They spend because they have to. Their chairman, Ofer Yannay, a "self-created" businessman (?), wants Hapoel to become a regular Euroleague team, and if he succeeds that, then the stock price for his team will "skyrocket". That was the reason he gave to Misic shares of the team, and he agreed to play there. He also said that for him, there is no war anymore; there are no missiles above their heads, and everything is over. It seems that for him, the people in Gaza are all dead. Who cares for the kids etc? Let's play basketball... Roll Eyes

Meanwhile it seems that Valanciunas transfer to Panathinaikos won't happen. Most likely that he will stay in NBA and play for Nuggets.

It seems like that. However, we have to wait and see since Valanciunas will try to talk with the Nuggets and tell them that he wants to break his contract. Maybe even pay them to set him free. Also, Monaco's Daniel Theis seems to be with one foot out of the team. If Valanciunas stays with Nuggets, I'm guessing that Panathinaikos will try to sign him up.

Anadolu Efes

Departures: Head Coach: Luca Banchi, Darius Thompson, Elijah Bryant, Daniel Oturu, Derek Willis, Doğuş Özdemiroğlu, Jordan Nwora, Rıdvan Öncel

Departures: Head Coach: Igor Kokoskov
David Mutaf, Nick Weiler-Babb, Georgios Papagiannis, Şehmus Hazer

Remaining: Rodrigue Beaubois, PJ Dozier, Ercan Osmani, Erkan Yılmaz

This situation tells me that the Anadolu Efes roster has been significantly weakened.
I think Luca Banchi did a pretty good job. Did he leave Efes himself, or did Efes management let him go? It makes no sense to me.

I'm sure that you meant to say "Arrivals" and not "Departures" twice. Wink Grin

As we know, a new head coach always brings different things and players as he sees fit. Ofc, with the acceptance and the budget that the ownership wants. It's more than certain that Efes will bring other players and start building something different. Also, coaches are/ can be considered as assets, and Banchis' time in Efes ended without the major success that they expected. Perhaps they think that it's time for a new start at all levels.

Yesterday I read in German news that Real Madrid is very interested in signing Theis as well. Guess his performance in Monaco made several teams having him on their radar. I never understood why he never really got a chance in the NBA, despite being signed for 8 year over there. He is such a versatile big man that get shoot the 3 and give you great defense in the paint as well. Maybe being white and from Europe, while not being a generational superstar, made teams overlook his talent a bit.
Hopefully he can ride out his in my opinion great career at some high level in Europe. Since he seems to have plenty of options, which he deserves, there is more to see from him.

It's logical and understandable that many top teams in Europe will want to sign a player like Theis. Maybe in the NBA, he didn't have the proper role and the playing time that he wanted, but now it doesn't really matter. He is in Europe, and he will never get back there. So, he is a potential signing for all the EU teams that want a reliable Center.
Olympiakos, however, chose and signed Donta Hall from Basconia, and Hapoel Tel-Aviv announced the signing of Chris Jones from Valencia. It seems that Itoudis will close the guard position with this signing.

Filip Petrusev is likely leaving Crvena Zvezda. A rumor like this caught my eye.
Petrusev, who previously played for Anadolu Efes, is a player I really like.
He's also very young.
Fenerbahçe Beko, Dubai Basketbol, and AS Monaco are among the teams interested in the player.
If he leaves Crvena Zvezda, I think he'll transfer to Fenerbahçe.
He'll likely choose us because he's previously played in Istanbul and Fenerbahçe is a strong EuroLeague team.
I'd love for him to join our team. He's a player who hasn't quite made the breakthrough.

Petrusev will certainly leave Crvena Zvezda, at least that was pretty clear from the last time he made some comments. Also, Olympiakos doesn't want him back and there is no chance for him getting to the NBA. So, for now, these 3 teams that you mentioned are among the favorites of getting him for the next season. First favorites are Fener and Monaco; then Dubai is in the corner watching out. Imo, he will end up in Fener and your wish will become true, but let's see if something else comes up.

From what I understand, Fenerbahçe's management won't be allocating enough money to basketball this year. Due to the lack of success in football, it doesn't seem to be allocating as much budget to basketball as in previous years.
I say this because the basketball team hasn't been replaced with the same or better quality players.
I thought Fenerbahçe would sign Petrusev, but he ended up transferring to Dubai Basket.
Olympiacos is said to earn $1 million from this transfer. We'll find out when the official announcement comes.

Honestly, I expected the same with you. Probably Saras and the management wait for another player with different skills and abilities. Another thing is the money, cause Dubai spends more than others, and maybe Petrusev is from the ones who look at what gets in their pocket first and then for the game itself.
Btw, Monaco's GM said that Theis is very happy being a player of theirs, but it seems that he has another opinion about it... Lips sealed
