Seems that Fenerbahche is back on track - powerful performance in Belgrade making whole arena silent and already 4th win in a row in Euroleague. Strong start probably was main factor today, though in 3rd quarter Partizan almost reached them. Disappointing season for Partizan so far, I even hear booing from some fansafter the game.
Didn't watched the game and I'm so surprised to see Baskonia win vs Bayern by 18 points. IMO, Baskonia is a team about nothing again and such results from them is surprising for me.
Olympiacos got quite difficult win against Paris. Since they got lead in the middle of 2nd quarter they controlled them game, but Paris was close.
Valencia got win against against Crvena Zvezda. It was such close game, most part of it difference between teams was just few points.

I wonder if Obra no longer has any ambitions of winning a basketball championship? He's been lackluster for the past three or four years. He's not coaching a championship-capable team. I don't think Partizan's budget is sufficient to win. I don't understand whether he's not receiving offers from Europe, or whether he's been refusing to accept them.

Partizan quickly surrendered to Fenerbahçe yesterday. I admit Fenerbahçe played very well, but I still didn't expect a Fenerbahçe win.

Q3 was really worrying for Fenerbahçe as Partizan dropped the gap to single-digit. But they still secured a win by 12 points thankfully.

Partizan couldn't even spend a single second ahead in score. That dominance by Fenerbahçe was impressive. Jasikevičius' team is getting better in time. This is the 4th win in a row for the last champion.

On Efes side the third quarter was great but on Barça's perspective it was horrible. Any coach would be furious with that kind of performance in a quarter. It should have been an easy win for Barcelona but Efes fought with everything they had and managed to get a kind of a miraculous win. Shengelia was playing below his potential. I don't like his character but he is a good player, he should have been better against weak Efes defense without they original big men.

I was nervous about Clyburn too but this must be like his worst Euroleague performance this season.    Only 3 points in 15 minutes. I'm still not satisfied with overall effort by Anadolu Efes though. So many turnovers and can't get many easy rebounds.

This season I’m really surprised to see Hapoel at the top. I don’t even remember if they’ve ever played in the EuroLeague before, because usually the team representing Israel was Maccabi. And honestly, I don’t recall teams from that country ever leading the EuroLeague. Their next game against Real Madrid will show whether Hapoel is truly one of the best teams right now or if their lead is just a coincidence. I wish them good luck!

I guess you're following Euroleague for not so long. Yes, Hapoel is new force in European basketball. IIRC, they never played in Euroleague before, only in Eurocup or Champions league. They have big budget and really good roster, so, their performance isn't something very surprising. But Euroleague season is very long, you can't predict how things will look after month or two.
Meanwhile Maccabi Tel Aviv used to be one of biggest forces in Euroleague as they won it 3 times in modern era - twice in the middle of 00s and then in 2014 under leadership of Tyrese Rice. Still remember that Final 4 like it was yesterday. Maccabi arrived as main underdog, but kicked out CSKA in semifinal and then beat Real in the final

Fenerbahçe Beko secured its fourth consecutive victory. Two weeks ago, this team didn't seem very promising, and I thought they would throw in the towel early in the tournament, but Saras pulled another rabbit out of the hat. It's incredible that Saras has managed to make this team the best defense in the league.

Birch, whose career was said to be over after knee injuries, and Melli, who was said to be retiring after Milan, are now key parts of the defense. Indeed, Melli was fantastic in the Partizan game. The three new American signings are still problematic, but they have helped the team find its rhythm. If they get used to it, then we'll talk about other things. Fenerbahçe suffered some embarrassing and extra defeats. However, in the last two matches, they won away against Hapoel and Partizan, matches that could have been losses on paper, and made up for the credit they had lost.

Nadir Hifi missed the Olympiacos game and it affected Paris Basketball quite negatively. They aren't as good as last season either though. TJ Shorts' departure had a bad impact on it.

But one positive thing about them was Justin Robinson's great performance. That was some extra by him and I wonder if he can keep it up.

Ettore Messina resigned as Olimpia Mllano head coach. What I can - finally. Though, probably this decision was made 3 years too late. Messina will be replaced by assistant Giuseppe Poeta who originally had to become their head coach after this season:

Euroleague board just apply double standard for teams. They accept Israeli teams but none from Russia. FIFA and UEFA do the exact same thing in football as well. Just accept both or don't accept any of them.

Israel question is contraversial, but not same as Russia IMO. And IIRC there was voting for Euroleague board and clubs about Israel situation and it they voted not to exclude them, but margin was small. But maybe let's not turn this into political topic, if you want we can discuss it at dedicated board.

There is something I want to ask: why can clubs from non-European countries participate in the Europa League, in this case, a club from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates?

Didnt expect this honestly to happen. They are avg in the euroleague and they dont have such bad results to be at the bottom of the table. But still Messina has been there for a long time and didnt do anything with the team and each season they are worst and worst so we knew this was a possibilty but i didnt expect it to happen now this early in the season.

I wouldn't call it no success, not even close. In the last 5 years they have won the Italian championship 3 times in a row from 22-24 and also won the Italian cup back to back from 21-22. That's an accomplishment for sure but also of course with a team and money like this 1 chip should be the minimum goal. Yet, saying they haven't seen any success really is a wrong statement! 5 trophies in 6 years definitely is not bad!
Sure, they haven't seen success in the EL, but that's really hard to begin with. The teams from Spain, Greece and Turkey are just too strong, we all know that.

Fenerbahçe are really doing great recently with 4 wins in a row. 3 of them were against the worst teams of the Euroleague so far maybe but this was still important for them to make a comeback. 

V. Bologna isn't normally a big challenge for them to tell the truth. Their form is much worse now too. Of course Jasikevičius still needs to be careful. Because their opponent beat Panathinaikos and Real Madrid this season.

Fenerbahçe defeated Virtus Bologna 66-64 in a closely contested match, securing their fifth win in the last five games.

The final minutes of the game were particularly exciting. With the score tied at 64-64, Melli's basket under the rim was crucial. He followed the ball well off the rim and tapped it in, scoring the point.
While Virtus was attacking, Carsen Edwards, I think, committed a foul, and the ball was returned to us, and we finished the game with a victory.
It was a tough game, but the result was good for us.

Dubai vs Paris really was such a strange match, no clue how 4 totally different quarters like this can actually happen. Dubai went from garbage to great, back to garbage and then back to great and winning by 1, what a silly history.



Normally you only see this in some nonsense leagues that are maybe rigged or something, no clue how this kind of level change happens in the Euroleague though. And Dubai winning in the end is of course also pretty annoying!

By success, my friend, I mean the EuroLeague arena. Milan is a team that dominates its league. There's no other top-tier team in the Italian League anyway. There's Virtus Bologna, but other than that, there's no other team that's competitive.
I don't remember a single successful year in the EuroLeague.
Milan needs to be a team that can succeed in the EuroLeague.

Besides, new blood could be better. Messina left voluntarily and wasn't fired.
Maybe it's just mental fatigue.

Hapoel has built a strong team and is very confident, but they lost against Olympiacos, Fenerbahçe, and Real Madrid.

In all three of these games, their offensive efficiency was very low. They struggled to score.

Yesterday, they lost to Real Madrid 74-75.

Fenerbahçe won, putting them on a five-game winning streak. Hopefully, we'll have a tough match against Olympiacos next week, and if we win that match, we can keep the streak going.
