I saw reports on social media that Anadolu Efes and Pablo Laso have reached an agreement, but I'm not entirely sure. I checked Anadolu Efes' website, but there's no official statement yet.
The agreement is rumored to be for 1.5 years.
I think he's the best coach Anadolu Efes could bring to the club right now. I hope he leads Anadolu Efes to success again (if he actually does come).

You saw it right my friend. Pablo Laso is really in advanced talks with Anadolu Efes for a deal.  Smiley

He is a coach with a good history in Euroleague honestly. His longest streak was with Real Madrid between 2011-2022 years. He achieved 2 Euroleague championships with the team in 2015 and 2018.

This makes me excited about Anadolu Efes' future but there is no agreement yet as you also say. I hope he is given enough time instead of an immediate sack.

Laso is a coach with a successful track record, but as far as I know, he has health problems. He suffered a heart condition while at Real Madrid and subsequently left the club. Thanks to his successful career, he will be given plenty of time. Anadolu Efes isn't expecting success this year, but if they recover quickly, they could finish in the top 8. Of course, they first need to reach an agreement with Laso.

Pablo Laso was an amazing coach, but since he left Real Madrid he didnt make any achivements whats so ever and i think he is just an avg coach at this moment. He tried in couple of clubs after Real Madrid but just couldnt do anything big with those teams. Even if he joins now Anadolu Efes i dont think he will make something with them this season, because Anadolu Efes is bad this season and maybe he is the coach for next season. If he signs the goal would be for Efes to try and reach they play in that would be a huge thing at this moment.
They are sitting currently at 17th place still nothing is lost long season to go

Crvena zvezda has been winning at home but losing on the road in their last four games. This time, they lost at home to Barcelona. Barcelona put on a good performance by winning this game, but I doubt they'll be able to keep up.
~snip
On friday, Crvena Zvezda will visit Partizan, as two teams from the same city and country face off. Partizan has changed their coach, and the fans are still angry with the management and want Obradovic to return, but as things stand, that won’t happen. On the other hand, Zvezda is dealing with injury problems, which, combined with this loss to Barcelona, will further affect the match. Whenever a derby is played, it’s always a particularly good game. As a Zvezda fan, i expect a win, but we’ll see.

Yes, he had problems with health, but now things looks good. After Real he was able to continue career

It's true that in other clubs he didn't had big achievements. But honestly, with clubs like Baskonia or Bayern it's difficult to achieve something really big. I have mixed feelings about him - Laso is ok option for Efes, but probably not the best. He can improve situation, but to reach play-in, I'm not sure.
Meanwhile mess at Partizan continues. They didn't reached agreement with Trinchieri and now they rejected rumours about Penarroya. Such things doesn't helps team before Belgrade derby. Game which is more important than position on the table.

Bologna remains the only team in the EuroLeague that is undefeated at home. They play a very different game at home compared to away games. Dusko Ivanovic's defensive character is reflected in the team. On offense, the keys are handed over to Carsen Edwards. Hapoel's games against Fenerbahçe and Olympiacos show that they cannot easily break down established defenses. The away game in Bologna will be no different.

"Remains". You do realize their last home game was on December 5th, 1 week ago. And now you talk about it? Little bit strange, isn't it. Can't really make too much sense from your post tbh.  Roll Eyes

I made a bet on Valencia today since there is so much value in 1.33 odds when you look at thoese teams. Valencia is having a great season, also in the ACB by the way where they are first, which Efes......, well we all know. Looked a bit like a trap game since even 1.33 is too high considering how far apart these 2 teams are at the moment.  Cool

I saw reports on social media that Anadolu Efes and Pablo Laso have reached an agreement, but I'm not entirely sure. I checked Anadolu Efes' website, but there's no official statement yet.

I think he's the best coach Anadolu Efes could bring to the club right now. I hope he leads Anadolu Efes to success again (if he actually does come).

I think Laso is a very good coach, but he's been struggling with health problems for a long time. As far as I know, he had heart problems. I hope he's fully recovered. Anadolu Efes was a bit slow, but it's good that they reached an agreement with Laso. The budget that will be given to Laso is also important. I thought Ergin Ataman would come, but apparently he didn't get an offer? Laso will add value to Turkish basketball. Anadolu Efes is currently in the lower ranks, but if they can get a winning streak, they can make the playoffs. It's not impossible.

As far as I know, Pablo Laso hasn't still said yes to Anadolu Efes. Meanwhile they were away against Valencia. And they lost without surprising us.

The gap was like even 17 points at a point and the ending wasn't so much different either. This team just don't know how to defend and it's mostly on the low quality of players.

They show their biggest resistance in Q1 and that's it... The part after is like a horror movie.

I was very surprised by the events at Partizan. It's not just about the team's failure, the coach being sacked or wanting to leave, like for example Efes situation. There was talk of the players' indiscipline, and it was clear there was a major drama with the president. I can't believe it, almost everyone in the basketball world must respect Partizan. It's a big club with passionate supporters. What happened to them? In fact, Bogdan Bogdanovic spoke about this the other day, saying that even when playing for another team, they still talk with Obradovic about Partizan. It seems that the problems won't be solved just by finding a new, good coach. We shouldn't expect anything from them this season.

Bravo FENERBAHÇE 💛💙💛💙. This was the best news of last night. I definitely thought we would lose, even by a historic margin after a very bad start to the first quarter, but the game was balanced in the second quarter.

I really like Horton Tucker since he arrived, and yesterday he broke his Euroleague career record by scoring 24 points against Monaco.
His three-pointer at 82-82 was the turning point of the game.
After a bad start, we're back in the Euroleague.

We're in the game now.

Despite trailing by 17 points in the third quarter, Fenerbahçe Beko remained calm, systematically closing the gap with disciplined defense and controlled offense. In the final quarter, they gave their opponents no breathing room, staging an incredible comeback to win the game. It was one of those games that reminded us what a winning team Fenerbahçe is. Fenerbahçe's victory in Monaco not only earned them points, but also showcased this team's fighting spirit, patience in crisis moments, and collective spirit to all of Europe, going down in history as one of the season's most memorable games. They gave us an unforgettable game.

They leveled the playing field towards the end of the first half, and although they faltered briefly in the third quarter, they had a very good fourth quarter to secure the win.
When the score was 82-82, Horton's three-pointer made me jump so high I almost hit the ceiling.
We won a tough game, and it was a great comeback. Monaco lost a game they led for a long time. Fenerbahçe is slowly but surely reaching the rankings it deserves.

Fenerbahçe is in excellent form as a team. Their victory against Monaco yesterday is the biggest example of this.
Monaco started the game well but couldn't win.
Tucker delivered an NBA-level performance. His drives to the basket immediately after receiving the ball were very impressive.
He scored some great points. Monaco couldn't stop Tucker. Tucker was the decisive factor in yesterday's game.
Sometimes it's said on social media that Bonga will come to Fenerbahçe. If he comes, Fenerbahçe will be the strongest candidate for the championship.
The final score of yesterday's game was 86-92 in favor of Fenerbahçe.
Partizan defeated Crvena Zvezda 79-76 in the Serbian derby. This was Partizan's second victory since Obradovic left. They had previously defeated Bayern Munich. Now they have defeated Crvena Zvezda. It's surprising for me.

Yeah Fenerbahce was down by 17 pts in the third quarter. But they played with good defence and very balanced and controlled offense and could close the gap. And last quarter Monaco didnt have any room to breat at all. It was a real good comeback by fenerbahce.

Fenerbahçe is in excellent form as a team. Their victory against Monaco yesterday is the biggest example of this.
Monaco started the game well but couldn't win.

Coming back from 17 points behind was amazing to watch. Monaco were one of the impressive teams at home. They were even favoured very highly for the win. The odds must be like 1.40 - 3.20 as far as I remember.

But still Fenerbahçe never gave up and did what a champion should do even in a worrying situation. Their form is better than all other teams recently. 6 wins in a row! There is a big difference between the way they started the season and now.

Fenerbahce’s win in Monaco did not only bring an important EuroLeague victory it also showed all of Europe this team’s fighting spirit, patience in tough moments and strong team unity. i dont want to exaggerate it but yesterday's game was one of the most memorable games of the season.

Anyone watched the derby match? It was really insane and the atmosfere was crazy. Partizan made i think the biggest comeback in euroleague derbies. Partizan was losing by 16 in third quarter and was able to turn it around somehow. This gives us still hope to reach the playoffs even tho we are really far still. Also euroleague hyped this match so much and bringed some really big influence stars to promote the game.

What is wierd to me is that both of these teams dont have a licence and yet they are the main two teams that promote the league the most and it wouldnt be so popular without them

Haha that's right. Also the new NBA Europe didn't include them. They didn't include anyone from Serbia yet, did they? I couldn't watch that game but I will. Partizan's last game was at home court but it was like an away game, they were booing their own players after the Obradovic incident. In this game it seems like fans were effective and it seems like a very good game. Impressive that Partizan got this win.

Fener is good but actually how bad was Monaco? I watched that game fully and Monaco's second half was a disaster. They lost control multiple times. I don't think it is acceptable as it was also a home game. I mean they are not a bad team, last year's finalist. I don't like as a basketball fan how they can't get their maximum performance from their huge potential. Contracts of Mike James and Mirotic are huge.
