We played very well in the third quarter, but the fourth quarter was equally bad.
It was as if Hernangomez was saving all his energy for the last quarter of the Panathinaikos game.
I remember him scoring at least 7-8 points in the last quarter.
Fenerbahçe may have had their most turnovers of the season in this game. There were unsportsmanlike fouls on both teams in the final minutes of the game. Fenerbahçe lost 77-81, but still, the team has been playing good basketball lately.

Horton Tucker played magnificently again. What I like most about him is that when he gets the ball, he immediately wants to score. Great talent, Horton.

The game really felt like a playoff match. But Fenerbahçe had too many turnovers... It was really not possible to win like that. If you commit around 25 turnovers at home, you can’t beat a team like Panathinaikos. Giving up only 9 points in the third quarter and then conceding 31 in the final quarter was absurd. The team was clearly exhausted in the last period.

Really an unexpected result,didnt expect Efes to win let alone destroy Zalgiris in Kaunas and this is just an insane result knowing that Zalgiris this season is a good team and not an easy team to win against. Pablo Laso gaved them a new energy and Efes looks now a lot better but lets see in the next games how they will play and if they can continue like this.

On the other hand my team,Partizan got destroyed at home against Virtus and probobly the worst game we played this season and our hopes for reaching the playoffs is lower with each round.

Yeah 1.4 is pretty much on the spot, Zalgiris was an around 5-6 point favorite but obviously they got destroyed all the way. Seems like Laso's hiring changed the course of Efes really quick, I didn't expect that. I mean of course he is a great coach and can change the direction a team is going in a certain time frame, but that quick is surprising.

I have watched Bahcesehir Kol. getting another strange performance in Eurocup, AGAIN. I mean 2 weeks ago the home game against Neptunas was already strange, being down 30 points at home despite being a 15 point favorite, but last time was VERY off again in their game at Venezia. Controlling the first game with a score of 42:29 and then getting taken apart in the 2nd half with 43:65 !! I mean how can you let a team score 65 points in the second half when they had 29 in the first, that doesn't make any sense. And it's not like Venezia played much better suddenly, they still shot only 5/13 from 3 in the second half.
Looks very fishy yet again.

It's clear that Anadolu Efes will bounce back with Pablo Laso.
They showed great resilience in the Fenerbahçe game as well.

Yesterday, they defeated Zalgiris away by 23 points, 64-87. The difference in score shows how much Efes has improved both defensively and offensively.
We've seen once again how important a coach or manager is for a team.
Anadolu Efes needs to start a good winning streak for the playoffs, and they started that in Lithuania.

I didn't watch the game, but I checked the betting odds while it was being played, and Zalgiris was the big favorite. If I were to bet on basketball, I would bet on an Anadolu Efes victory. Because I really liked Efes in the Fenerbahçe game.
We saw in both games how effective Laso is as a coach.
Now this needs to become a regular occurrence.
Anadolu Efes' next opponent will be Dubai Basket in Istanbul. Although Dubai seems like an easy opponent, Anadolu Efes needs to take it seriously and defeat them.

It is impossible to evaluate the Fenerbahçe-Pana game independently of the referees decisions. The referees did not do a bad job for either side, but they favored Pana and penalized the other side. The Euroleague management will probably send another ridiculous apology letter and the matter will be closed, but how many times have these referees been involved in incidents like this?

Fenerbahçe urgently needs to acquire two good tall players. Khem Birch can only grab rebounds in that area; he can't contribute to the score otherwise. Although it seems like there's no problem during the regular season, when defenses get tougher, they'll be looking to the player inside. Fenerbahçe needs players like Ekpe Udoh and Vesely.

Fener definitely struggles in the paint, they urgently need a solid 5 number. We can see the effect of having a good center with Poirier and how he affected Efes. Laso is lucky to have him actually. Their timing coincided. Fener needs something similar definitely. I like Nicolo Melli a lot, and Birch is doing everything he can but it is not enough. For a tough season like this with such fixture, they are obviously not enough. Pana found an amazing solution in the middle of season, Kenneth Faried is better than expected. Fener urgently needs that.

Fenerbahçe defeated Milano by 15 points, 72-87.
We played poorly in the third quarter, but we made up for it in the last quarter.
Milano played both good defense and offense in the third quarter and got back into the game, but they couldn't maintain the same level of play in the last quarter to secure the win.

Talen Horton Tucker has adapted well to both Fenerbahçe and European basketball. He scored 23 points yesterday.
He has contributed over 20 points in the last three games. This form of his is a source of pride for Fenerbahçe.

Paris put up a good fight but lost in the final quarter. I wasn't expecting Paris to win, but considering Real Madrid's poor form, I thought maybe Paris would win, but it didn't happen.

Real Madrid won the game 95-90.

Panathinaikos, after their game against Fenerbahçe, defeated league leaders Hapoel, completing a two-game week with two wins.

Fenerbahçe also won. They defeated Milano 72-87 away with a good performance. This victory might be the start of a new winning streak for Fenerbahçe.

I really liked our effort against Milano especially in the final quarter. The stars of the game were Horton-Tucker and Colson of course. I can't overlook Biberovic's nice contribution with his classic 3 pointers as well. 

The referees are still making simple mistakes by the way. I remember an obvious half-court incident by Milano but they literally didn't see it or acted like it. It is not nice to witness this kind of easy things being missed.

By the way I see Anadolu Efes' resistance wasn't good in the last quarter and that cost them a win against BC Dubai.

Barcelona - Baskoni, what a game! 3 overtimes, highest ever scoring game in Euroleague history (258 points combined) most points scored by one team - 130, 42 points from Punter - 4th best result in Euroleague history. This game had even higher result than legendary Real - Efes with 4 overtimes.
Crazy how Baskonia wasted 9 points lead in 2nd overtime. In 3rd overtime they were already completely empty, like it wasn't enough, their top scorer Howard got injured.
Baskonia have same umber of wins like Partizan, but image of both teams looks completely different. Baskonia recently playing really good basketball, while Partizan is dead completely. Today they got destroyed by Zalgiris by 41 point, it's biggest ever Zalgiris win in Euroleague history.

Anadolu Efes needed to beat Dubai after their victory against Zalgiris, but it didn't happen.

Yeah after the recent outings from Efes I really expected more of them, especially because I hate the Dubai team, haha. After a decent first half being up 7 and great defense only letting Dubai have 30 points it all came crashing down in the 2nd half with 50 points. Come on, you have great chance to build momentum and turn around the season and then play like this, not cool. They had so many unnecessary fouls also giving Dubai way more free throws,

Dubai Basket always achieves something when they come to Istanbul. Yesterday, they beat Anadolu Efes after coming from behind. They had previously defeated Fenerbahçe by a large margin in Istanbul. Istanbul suits Dubai Basket very well. Anadolu Efes made poor choices in the fourth quarter and lost.

The toughest game of the night was between Barcelona and Baskonia. Barcelona set a new record with a hard-fought 134-124 victory after three overtimes. This became the highest-scoring game in Euroleague history.
Baskonia led for a long time, but the game ended 97-97 in regulation. Barcelona was better in overtime. They closed a 9-point gap in the second overtime and, albeit with difficulty, won 134-124.

It was a beautiful and enjoyable Euroleague game.

Never liked Herbert, even though obviously he led the German national team to a world cup title and so. But that was the team, he always got way too much credit in my opinion.

No clue who will be the next coach now, are there any good names on the market? I doubt that Bayern will take long to sign someone new.

IMO, that's not entirely coach fault. Last season they were really strong and reached play-in, but now most of their key players left team in summer and new signings didn't managed to replace them. Current results is awful and offcourse, changing coach is easiest solution.
There is quite many coaches without job now - Banchi, Djordevic, Messina, Trinchieri, Banchi, Sfairopoulos, Mateo, Dzikic - plenty of options to choose.

I dont know what happened to this team but they are playing bad and in the middle of the season the coach needs to be sacked for sure due to bad results. Maybe some players left but i think they got some great ones like Dinwiddie that is an amazing player. The change needed to happen so they can get a coach that can lead this team and maybe save their season.

I think the market for coaches wasnt better in a long time,so many good coaches without a job and i think they can pick a good one for sure.

Fenerbahçe really got a quite nice win over Milano two days ago and we are moving on. It is nice to see that Jasikevičius made sure of his players not to get affected badly after the loss against Panathinaikos.

The champion mentality is back as it seems which sounds great.    Even with a missing game we are in the 5th place now. If we keep this up I don't see any reason not to finish regular season in top 6.
