The Fenerbahçe-Valencia match is one of the best matches of the week. Nando De Colo's arrival will increase the potential in attack. However, Chris Silva's injury was a major setback. Fenerbahçe, who looked tired at the end of the double week, will have a chance to rest a little more by staying at home.

With all respect to other teams, but when we have El Clasico, there can't be bigger game than this one. Though, this time it was one sided  action. Two weeks ago in ACB league game Real didn't had much chances against Barca and spectators were leaving arena already in the middle of 4th quarter. Now Real made revenge with big win. They left Kevin Punter empty as he scored his first and only points only in the end of 4th quarter when everything was decided already.
Fenerbahche were leading almost whole game, but their win wasn't easy. Nothing surprising, considering how good Valencia this season is.

Fenerbahçe struggled, but managed to win, albeit with difficulty. Valencia played particularly well in the last quarter. I thought Fenerbahçe would win comfortably since they started the game well, but they gave me a headache again in the last quarter. 😂

Valencia has now lost two games in a row.

Valencia will host Paris Basket next week. They will most likely get a comfortable victory. Fenerbahçe will travel to Bologna. I expect Fenerbahçe to win as well, because Virtus Bologna isn't a team with any real ambitions in the Euroleague.

Anadolu Efes's struggle continues, can't even beat midfield teams in the Super Lig anymore.  I mean it wasn't a surprise they lost at Esenler Erokspor but the way it went down was just so classic for the season so far. Last week they barely won against the worst team in the league and tonight they were down by as many as 24 points, finally losing by "only" 11, haha. Damn, this team is cooked. They are now having the same record as 9th place. If they keep this going they might even lose out on the playoffs in Turkey.

Today in the Euroleague, there are games where the home teams or favorites will comfortably win. The game I will be following is Panathinaikos-Baskonia. It's the most noteworthy game, actually. Things aren't going well for Panathinaikos. They've lost three of their last four games. Baskonia has won both of their last two games. I expect Panathinaikos to win, but a surprise result is also possible. Could Anadolu Efes pull off a surprise? It's unlikely, but it's possible.

I watched them a bit last weekend and it was just terrible to see. Even against mediocre teams in the Super Lig they just look bad, so how can it be better in the top European competition? Not so sure aboit Pnathinaikos win with their current form. On the other hand, it's difficult to expect much from Baskonia, they're more dangerous playing at home. Yes, they're fighting for nothing, but at least Bayern started showing positive signs, while Partizan is looking worse with each round.
For me most interestinggames today is Olympiacos - Maccabi, Real - Olimpia and Monaco - Crvena zvezda.

Shaqueell O'Neal has come to Türkiye, and there are rumors that he will buy Anadolu Efes. This rumor stems from the fact that the NBA Europe is expected to be established in 2027. As far as I know, Anadolu Efes' owner, Tuncay Özilhan, will either downsize or merge with Beşiktaş. If Shaq wants to buy, he might sell Anadolu Efes. I don't think Shaq would just be visiting Türkiye casually at this time.

I thought the favorites would win, but Monaco lost to Crvena Zvezda 96-100 in overtime. That was the surprise of the night.

Pana won comfortably. I thought they would struggle. Barcelona had a very hard time against Dubai, winning by just two points.

Bayern Munich's loss to Partizan after their win against Panathinaikos also surprised me. Bayern Munich isn't a particularly strong team. They don't have a specific goal in the Euroleague, but their recent three wins caught my attention.

Anadolu Efes are maintaining their incredible (!) run in the Euroleague.    They just can't be consistent throughout a match. That happened again versus Hapoel TA this time yesterday.

They had a 10-point lead at halftime. They couldn't prevent a 7-0 series in Q3 and after that nothing was easy for them anymore. Another big series in Q4 brought their end later on.

This season is obviously over for them. I just hope they transform this team into a much better one until next season.

Well to be fair, they looked better than most people, including me, expected them to be. I thought this would be a blowout, just like they got one some days ago in the Turkish league. About this one, we have seen this before, Efes playing a solid 1st half and then collapse in the final 20 minutes, really sad to see. Wonder where the problem is. Is it the mindset, the coach or simply the players that can use the talent they clearly have?

Beşiktaş dominated the game from the first quarter and defeated Buducnost Podgorica by 22 points. With this result, Beşiktaş became the new leader of EuroCup Group B. New signing Matt Thomas was quite successful. He scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in limited playing time. Another new signing, Sertaç Şanlı didn't play today. The ball distribution within the team was very balanced. Jonah Mathews barely took any shots today.

Türk Telekom also won by a wide margin today. Considering JL Bourg's decline, Türk Telekom also has a chance to finish second. Anything can happen in the last 3 games. Securing a direct ticket to the quarter finals is very important. Beşiktaş looks set to achieve this by winning their next game. Türk Telekom can also achieve this if they win their remaining games.

Fenerbahce vs Bologna match was a great game. Tucker scored 28 points. It is his career record. He really deserved the MVP award really... Fenerbahçe is very good now. They won 12 games in the last 14 matches. Now they are in 2nd place. Next there are two home games against Baskonia and Efes. 14 wins in 16 games is very possible.

Fenerbahçe's victory over Virtus Bologna was the best thing that happened to me last night. Especially coming from behind and finishing Bologna off in the third quarter. Talen Horton Tucker set another career high in the Euroleague (if my memory serves me correctly) with 28 points.

Seeing Carsen Edwards also brings a pang of sadness. This player was with us, and I just can't understand why we sold him. He was on fire again yesterday and scored 35 points. A player as prolific as him should have stayed with us longer, but he only stayed for a year. This makes me sad. I hope he comes back to Fenerbahçe someday. He's one of my favorite players.

But as usual they wasted the comeback chance! They are so generous about that. Saben Lee and Ercan Osmani were the only players I liked. PJ Dozier was top scorer of the team maybe but he missed lots of medium range shots.

It is really sad to see a basketball school like Anadolu Efes in this situation. We are talking about the history of Turkish basketball here... the biggest and most successful club ever. Now, watching their games is like torture. No matter how good they play, they just give up the game in the last quarter.

Yesterday, during the Maccabi vs. Panathinaikos game, Ergin Ataman was subjected to insults throughout the match. Why wasn't the arena evacuated? Ergin Ataman even submitted a written protest to the table officials during the game, but the insults continued. Ergin Ataman received these insults because he is Turkish. Israeli teams shouldn't be in the Euroleague. They are no different from Russian teams. Because nothing is said about this, we've even started hearing racist insults. What's the difference between what Israel does and what Russia does?
You win or lose a game, but these ugly behaviors are unacceptable.

Pablo Laso couldn't find a solution for Anadolu Efes. Maybe if Kokoskov had stayed with the team, they wouldn't have been so bad. I think Laso is still in the adjustment phase. Efes seemed unfocused in yesterday's game. They started the game with only 13 points. The team is struggling to score. Losing to Olympiacos isn't a huge problem, but Anadolu Efes has forgotten how to win. I agree with you, my friend, this year Anadolu Efes is just like Alba Berlin. They've even fallen into a worse situation than them.

Partizan made historical comeback - they were down by 27 against Hapoel, and despite it they managed to win after overtime. It looked that it will be another their huge lose by 30-40 points, but what was going on after halftime was hard to explain.
BTW, why they played home game in Munich? I know that in main Belgrade arena there is Waterpolo championship, but why not to play at old Aleksandr Nikolic Hall?

Usually crying Ataman in press conference makes me smile, but hate towards him in Israel reached new level - it lasted not just whole 40 minute, but probably most of his time in Israel. Don't know, maybe there is some story behind it - there isn't many places where Ataman is loved. IMO, it's not much different from what fans in Greece or Serbia is doing. Probably Maccabi will get fine, same like other clubs are getting or maybe will have to play game behind closed doors.

Maybe if Kokoskov had stayed with the team, they wouldn't have been so bad. I think Laso is still in the adjustment phase.

When there was Kokoskov I remember talks from Efes fans here that they have to sack him ASAP and they had to stay with Banchi

Partizan staged a spectacular comeback. This was the biggest comeback of the season.
In the 24th week of the EuroLeague, Partizan, trailing by 27 points, managed to defeat league leader Hapoel Tel Aviv 104-101 in overtime.

Hapoel Tel Aviv suffered its 7th loss, and all four teams in the top four now have 16 wins. Hapoel and Fenerbahçe have one game in hand compared to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
