Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I totally support your sentiments towards this topic, but unfortunately these gambling house's have become so aggressive in their advertising such that whenever you watching a game of sport their advertisements run everywhere, and you go out there branded cars and some branded public transport do carry these and am affraid this upcoming generation will always have the desire to gamble for this very reason. If anything there advertisements are worse off than drugs ( cigarette/ alcohol) ad's and it's up to the guardians and parents to try to correct this.

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

And these kids will sometimes pretend not to be hearing or watching what you do not until an opportunity presents itself and then you get a shock of your life that they too know how to play.

that you should really be making or letting them know and realize on what are the cons of it so that on the time that they would be able to encounter it then they do at least have the idea

If all of you are afraid that the kid would get addicted to getting money through gambling, then why Monopoly is recommended for kids starting from 8 years? There money are also involved. It can teach kids to make investments. And *Oooh nooo!*, the kid will spend all his and parents money on buying railroad stocks. Never play monopoly in front of your kids!

And I hope non of your kids would ever see Operation board game, as they will grow up into butchers and maniacs.

The future of children is not determined by us, but they themselves will determine later. as parents we can only give the right direction the rest they will live life and have their own choices. But all parents want the best for their children because no parent wants their children to be misunderstood or have a bad future. So do I, even though I like gambling but I will never show it to children, whether it's other people's children or my own children, of course if they are not old enough they shouldn't know about gambling.

But if they have grown up with today's technology increasingly advanced with online gambling that can be accessed using cellphones later they will also know themselves by that, so the rest if they have grown up they have a choice which is good and not good for themselves or others and the family. Yes, that's right, even at the age of 18 I think it's still a period of play at that age, because there are still opportunities to study again at college universities, after they enter the new university they have to think about their own needs that must be fulfilled by finding a job, or at that time they can choose good and bad things. That's the problem if you are the one who gives the idea for your children, I mean if they see you enjoying when playing your favorite gambling games, that curiosity will come out from them and start to find it out, and like what you mentioned, children of todays generation have that easy access in learning things out, with the easy use of internet they can quickly learn whatever it is that they are curios with, so be very careful in things that you are doing in front of your kids, especially those things that you would not like them to follow you or you don't like them to be involve with.

Yes, they can be curious and want to find out more, and if parents can keep an eye on what their children are doing even when they are browsing the internet, they will only try to look at something that is their time. They also won't be curious about gambling because they don't see adults gambling. Children are now more critical in seeing things and will continue to ask questions until they are satisfied, and that is what I experienced with my nephew, who is just under 10 years old.

Playing Monopoly is different from gambling, at least in my opinion, because we teach children to prepare for their future by investing, and it's not gambling. At least, that's what I think, but I don't know if you think it's gambling.

I often invite my children to do physical activities rather than playing somewhere, you know what I mean. This is so they get used to doing physical activities and also helps them get used to moving.

Take a look on a picture Ive posted. You say kids are very curious, but they also dont focus on things, as we parents do. While playing that operetion game, they might understand, that during operation, patient does not feel pain. So they would take scalpel, knife or any sharp object and go play surgeon with alive “toys”. Their “might happen” thing might really happen quicker than “might become addicted when grow up”. Thus, this game is allowed, and for many “gambling is bad”.

No matter if you do gambling in front of your kids or not, they will eventually get to know that you are a gambler even if you gamble hiddenly from them. Its very hard for parents to gamble, and children living in the same house does not know the gambling habit of their parents or even elder brothers (or sisters).

Yeah, if you want your children not to adopt gambling habits from parents, the parents would need to quit gambling. But then, would those kids will never gamble ? No, they will.
There are kids who will be engaged in gambling but their parents were not gamblers, why ? Because when the kids move in the society they will know about gambling and may try it at their friends or relative place.

That is another proof of my words, that we can gamble in front of kids, because they have others as authority and no matter how you hide or forbit to do something, then if someone does it or it is popular (or a trend between kids), kids will do it anyway. You can ask them or limit them from doing anything, but if their friends do, they would do it anyway.

I can also say that if in anyhow the kids have something that occupy their mindset things that will not let them to be curious to whatever their parents are doing, they are safe and will continue being normal without any consequences that they might be in danger learning about gambling in their early stage, better to make sure that you are attentive enough it will help the development of your kids and it will avoid their curiosity.

Teenagers with little to no guidance and love from primarily the parents are open to such vices and is more likely to have an early start indulging themselves in such vices.
And they sometimes get the wrong notion that gambling could be a source where income can be made. I think that increases their interest in wanting to gamble. And in their ignorance on how addictive and financially damaging gambling can be, they’ll soon adapt gambling as a habit and if not careful, it would slowly become an addiction. That’s when school becomes less of a priority and stealing to indulge himself would not seem so bad anymore.

This has happened in many places and many underage children have become victims of gambling because they learned about gambling from their older siblings or the adults around them. This is indeed sad because children should be able to learn other things that are more useful at their age and can provide other benefits after they grow up, but instead, they use their time to gamble even with their peers. This should be a serious concern for parents to pay better attention to their children. Otherwise, there is a tendency for children to continue gambling secretly without their parents knowing. In addition, if he does not have money, he can commit crimes such as stealing and even robbery. It would truly be a sad ending for them if they were involved in such a serious crime.

So what is forbidden in one place can be legal in another place,  we have countries where both the government and the religion are against gambling and also we have other countries where gambling is legal and have moral justification for it,  so if you want to compare the approach of citizens of each of those countries in terms of gambling will definitely be different so I don't see any strange thing in the mates saying that he gamble with his family.

The good thing About this Debate is that we always learn things that are customs and things that exist in different countries with their great cultures, for me it is Something that should not be that they inhibit or hide the game, not at all because we are free peopl e, In my case, I am a person who does not hide anything, I am not afraid of anything , or anyone, and I can do whatever I want because I want to do it, that is something that Identifies that I like to Admit and do , just When I choose in the casino, When it comes to Making sports bets, I do it and I say it to anyone without any shame, but let's see, if you look at it, if we play it's not bad, if we don't do it either, well things will always be that way to be able to establish the limit, then in this order of ideas many things can be done that have to do with having a better time to make it known that this is a casino, the casinos were made so that people can enjoy, have fun, have a different time and can do the Difference in Terms of other activities.

Casinos have to be seen as what they are , not as fun or as a job, many people who have luck in casinos and win, think that a casino is for that, well they will always be wrong, the fact that a casino can give a a certain amount of money, it doesn't mean that people are with the same luck all the time, because winning in a casino is luck, and basically what is needed is that, if a person has a lot of luck and they win all the time, then that's great. It really is Something that is not so Common , the Only Problem is when that luck runs out , because when that Happens , what are they Going to do next ? If things don't flow Anymore, how are they? Then that is where you will realize that playing in a casino cannot be taken as a way to generate Income , only as fun where you can win or lose , that is why it is Considered a game for Adults.
