Since you have mentioned in-game items and skins - I think this is 100% gambling, and I am 100% sure they did not learn that from parents. I will never believe, that after they saw adults play poker at home, or saw someone play slots on a mobile or other device, they have started gambling via opening in-game cases. Well, from afar, these case games are just a business that needs cash flow and profit, and these cases are simply the best way to generate profit. Maybe there are such problems, but I think that about 99% of teenagers and children buy skins that cost less than a couple of bucks or even cents.

This probably happens because schoolchildren communicate with each other in educational institutions where such things spread very quickly, and everyone wants to show off who has the coolest skin. But if the gambler does not explain anything to children about gambling, but simply gambles in front of them, it will not lead to anything good. There are times where trying to cover up some things from your children by exaggerating things will make them more curious because they weren't satisfied with the answers and that might lead them into seeking advise from their peers. Agree, hiding a problem only becomes a question in front of our children, if we are already a gambler, the admission to our children is very important as it is the starting point for family relationships to become closer and understand each other better, a very real opportunity to apply what our children have learned to their family situation, a conversation that will always help us know how good and curious our children are, we also know the current concerns.
