We’ve decided to switch our sports product over to a prediction market.  Prediction markets are the future of betting and ours has been in development for 6 months now. It fits perfectly with our Web3 ethos too.

We’ll be launching imminently, which is why we are going to be winding up sports in the coming days.

I wonder then if the prediction market will not be easy to abuse, as Little Mouse says of sports betting, although I suppose that by putting the appropriate security measures in place this potential abuse should be avoided. Check out the scam accusation section. Regardless of whatever security you use, there will be ways to abuse. Have you ever seen scam accusation against casinos which don't offer sportsbook? If what you are saying is true and the only reason is this (potential reputational damage) for removing sportsbook entirely, I have to say Metawin has set some standards for fairness. I mean, why offer something knowing that you will not be able to prevent cheating/abuse? Another way to look at this is they might want to prevent themselve from the abuse  since they are Web3 gambling platform.
Whatever it is, in principle I agree with Metawin's decision to ensure reputation.

Most accusations are invalid but I did not notice that most accusations are related to sportsbooks. Perhaps if digging deeper for more information, it can have some evidence from past accusations to support your saying.

It is likely true as I can see that casinos with sportsbooks have highest numbers of accusation there.

I guess  it all depends on how the casino would take action regarding on their past abuse happen. But since Metawin already experience an abuse from their Sportsbook before for sure they know how to implement some counter action regarding to mitigate or stop the possible attack made by those abusers.

Management is so smart to figure out such thing so for sure there's nothing to worry about with those situation.

Exactly because somehow its waste of resources to keep promoting it while they don't get any good result for having it. That's why its better to try different approach since somehow those feature they are trying to explore is now gaining good popularity and provably that people love to see the prediction market will be added on their casino.

Whatever decisions they have taken so far is of best option to me because I know that they are doing everything possible to remain on the space and not just that but to also maintain their relevancies. Migration to predictions site would solve every problem then fine they are free to do that provided they see positive movement and how the system is changing over the time, I believe before they could take such drastic decisions they have also seen the benefits, I mean the global benefits and the future of gambling where it's going. Again, if that would also eliminate abuse of the platform then fine, moreover since it's said that their predictions site would also have sportbook then nothing much about to worry from what I read across here.

Broker's and predictions markets are highly centralized and at that, their disputes can easily be prevented unlike sports booking which comes with a lot of abnormalities of events that make the system highly volatile and caustic, that is why crises mostly arise from that section of the casinos market, so metawin removing sports betting section is a way to cure a lot of things, and avoiding those troubles that may have cost them a lot in the past by keeping the sports booking market Open on their platform.
