Day-3 for me, I have given only 6 push-up in 1st session, oh ...no, 2nd session only 13 push up, that's very painful in my whole body. No problem it will be continuing until 100 push-up.
It seems you're not used to this, although it will take some time reaching such number but you'll definitely reach, I observed something when doing mine  and you should also try it, divide your session using excersise timer or daily routine and make sure you pass the number of your previous pushup with extra 5 or 6, although it's painful exercising the muscles forcefully but if you keep doing this often the pain will reduce, let's not forget the pain is the fun

I'm taking extra egg's and milk for extra energy. Now I'm not using lift to step up, and taking extra deep breath. when I started my 1st session early morning it's hard but the 2nd session in evening is very suitable for me.
This is quite interesting, drinking milk after working out is a nice one, milk as a perfect example of  protien helps to build the muscles mass. I will suggest you install excersise timer, I installed mine and it helps with the pushup and exercising in general.

If 100 a day is too much, maybe try to start with whatever "K" the Bitcoin price is at and work your way up to 100 along with Bitcoin.  Smiley

Who's in?!?!?

Yes, I am ! I m ready to take challenges and when I read the topics, I tried to take pushup, but this is so hard and I completed only 5 push-up ..ha ha ..I m overweighted person, so what! I want to take challenge from now- "100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge" . I have read the seniors post, from beginning it will so hurt and very painful, Still I will take my challenge and I will continue until Bitcoin is worth $100k. If I can lose weight as a result of taking the challenge, that would be awesome for me...and also for my wife...ha,ha. Now thinking, I will get up every day early morning and start physical exercise specially push-up. I'm sure that before I complete 50 push-up the price of Bitcoin will be higher than $100k.

Yesterday I hit my 3,000 since starting the challenge and I did it with sets of 33/33/34. I started today off with a set of 34 but have fallen behind due to some unforeseen plumbing emergency work which is now behind me. We’ll see if I’ll be able to keep this up or not, but so far so good. If so, I think two sets of 50 by the halving is a possibility. Who knows, maybe I’ll be able to get a single set in of 100 the day we hit $100K.

Stay with it!
A single set of 100 that will be massive!! I know it's still possible, I have been able to be doing 3 sets of 40/30/30. Consistency got me this far. I saw an improvement when I first started 5 sets of 20/20/20/20/20. At some point I noticed that my first trial in the morning I was getting up to 30 and above. So I reduced it to 4 sets and from there to my present 3 sets. Hopefully I will reduce to 2 sets. I just hope I can achieve it. It's really good to exercise the body I must confess.

This statement is true, starting slow and not trying to compete with others or trying to achieve what others have achieved is not ideal, we have different body system and we are stronger than each other so sticking to what will cause you pain all in the name of imitating others is not ideal.
Right you are! God created the every human for individual body and mentality. There is no any similarity between you and me only we are human. However, I have taken 32 push-up, It's improving and first time I completed so many push-up. Still feeling a little bit pain in body but no more problem in coming days.. I Passed the first stage and it was so painful. I'm thinking the growth of Bitcoin price is so running as a black bull that it's price will be $100k before I complete 100 push-up!!!

I now understand that it is not a competition and we are not obligated to do 100 pushups but rather it’s a challenge to keep fit while anticipating the rise of bitcoin so understanding your body and not overworking it is important.
Exectly! We are not forced, this is just a motivational way to reach 100 push-up until Bitcoin $100k. I'm very excited to reach and should be done. As a human, we seem like a robot, rising early in the morning, take bath, take breakfast, going to Office etc...we have no time to exercise but it's essential for everyone.Without exercise we are getting fat day by day, fat is accumulating in the blood vessels and heart is blocked. We all want to be healthy and without disease.

100 push-up a day is not very easy especially for starters I decided to pick up the challenge at first I was able to complete 46 at a stretch, I tried again if I can go more than that I couldn't because my muscle were getting weaker as I continue trying till I was unable to continue again.

My experience was horrible I was unable to bath normal as before I couldn't pour water on my body freely due to pains in me. I know the challenge is not a do or die affair but I will still continue not because of the challenge now but for personal help and fitness because exercise is very essential.

It does of course depend on your overall health level in the very beginning, but the adaptation is fast as mobilizing muscle fibers as a beginner is mostly about activating the central nervous system. That's why the performance curve often looks like a log curve. But most people have far more potential available than they think. For someone to do 50/60/70 push ups, it's as you said: consistency! The muscle volume comes into player later down the road when the sets get really nasty, like closer to 100. That's my experience. Now I have to admit I haven't been doing push ups in quite a while, but there are some of these amazing videos. I don't know if you guys shared this here, but there are some guys who do more than 2,000 push ups in 60 minutes, which is absolutely insane.

But I like the challenge here: better get started somewhere than never get started anywhere!

Why did I just see this now? I could've started trying this out when OP posted this.

I'm trying a different approach, maybe a workout for any part of your body and then total the total reps into 100? Is this okay? Tongue For chest: 30 bench presses, inclined 30, decline 30, then 10 actual push ups.

Would that be okay?  Grin

Ultimately, you can do whatever you like, but I think to stay in the spirit of the challenge there should be a need to try to emphasize pushups or the closest substitutes to pushups in the event that you are not able to do pushups.

Of course push-ups are a body weight exercise that we are able to modify based on angle and/or even style of our pushups - so we can take it everywhere - and maybe there is a bit of gruelingness to it to based on being able to do it anywhere, but maybe if we are in awkward situations, it might seem strange to do pushups in the parking lot or at the airport.. hahahahaaha

Regarding some of the earlier comments of how many pushups to do in a stretch, I read somewhere that very fit folks, such as in the military, sometimes will get plateaued at a certain number of pushups that they are able to do in one stretch - which may be around 75.

Of course, many of us more normal (and potentially more out of shape peeps) likely are having our current plateaus at lower numbers - even though we also might be a bit of newbies to the push-ups-everyday practices (this is my 30th day), so it could be the case that some of our plateaus may well be temporary and we have to let them play out a bit longer to see if we might get over them.

Another thing that I read is that sometimes guys can start to get seemingly chronic pains (or negative effects) from how many push-ups they are doing, and that seemed to apply to even higher level of push-ups than we are doing (like 200 or higher per day for extended periods), so if it takes a while to get to $100k, we might be doing these push-ups for a while.. though I am getting the sense that it $100k is more and more likely to be reached before the halvening or soon there after. We are just experiencing too many new entrants into BTC in recent times with the spot BTC ETFs, and my thinking is that it is going to be really difficult to hold BTC prices below even $120k.. so probably a new balance point will be between $120k and $180k while so many of these new entrants are coming into BTC - and then we will have to reassess again at that point if some of the liquidity issues might subside or not.. but then we are also going to have the halvening of the new supply effect which also has its own real world UPpity pressures on the BTC price which could cause the new normal for this cycle to end up in the $240k to $360k range, and that is not even accounting for the various artificial price spikes that also accompany the cycles.

Anyhow.. part of the point that I was wanting to make is that if there might be some chronic pains from too many pushups, then the solution might be to have either no push-up days (which seems like it would be out of the spirit of this particular challenge), or maybe some days weaved in there that are lighter push-up days.. like maybe alternating 3 full days and 1 half day. .or something variation of that..

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

That's cheating bro.
Haha.
But of course you can do whatever I want. But I really think 100 push ups is not too big of a hurdle.
I was actually slacking the past days as well so I had to make a lot of them today to get back to even.

Still I feel after some weeks now the 100 go down easy. 2x 50 and it's gone.

I dont think its cheating, people have to do whatever best suits their personal health.  I said before if you're a lighter build both push ups and chin ups are tons easier then for anyone heavier build, a body builder type will struggle far more with these because their extra weight and emphasis on large muscles means they have a harder exercise; push ups are much easier for me as Im definitely not a body builder in my diet or exercise.   Sit ups are equal, lots of exercises counts as valid.   I think swimming is the best overall non strain inducing exercise I recommend that for anyone who isnt into keep fit normally.

Ok I cant even do a single one arm chin up anymore and that used to be my pièce de résistance, I might try a few push ups daily to get back on track.  Good thread  Grin

I dont reckon on 100k this year still, always possible but imo I dont find it probable.   The current burst of speed is spoiling people to some extent, we're at the ATH so its certainly good, I dont presume we continually gain.

To be honest the challenge was very difficult, in fact it was never possible for me to do 100 push-ups in one day. Because I can't push-up much anyway, but since 100k of bitcoins came up here, I was able to do it no matter how hard I struggled. But I didn't do it in one day. After I accepted this challenge, I completed the challenge in a total of three days. First I think about 30 push-ups a day. But it took me more than three days to do 100 push-ups. So the first two days I do 33 push-ups and the third day I do 35 push-ups. And I completed the challenge by doing 101 push-ups in three days. I fully believe in bitcoin and also believe that bitcoin will be worth 100k, my pain will turn into joy after bitcoin is worth 100k.

Each and everyone of us in this challenge faced similar difficulties at the beginning so I understand. I will encourage you to continue and never to stop because in a short while you will begin to see the benefits of the challenge. In the midst of the pain and the temptation to quit, set on your mind on Bitcoin and just see it as a solidary exercise with the Bitcoin community. This way you will somehow find the strength and courage to continue.

I was also tempted to give up at some point but I continued anyway and today I am already enjoying some of the noticeable benefits like improved metabolism, lightness and good sleep. There are many others but these are the ones I noticed rapidly.

I was also tempted to give up at some point but I continued anyway and today I am already enjoying some of the noticeable benefits like improved metabolism, lightness and good sleep. There are many others but these are the ones I noticed rapidly.
100 pushups is interesting, when you aren't fitted you can't afford the strength to do the complete 100 pushups, like me I haven't started pushing up but I think, it's high time I get started. But I can't be able to do the whole push up in 1 day. My pushups will start from tomorrow and it's going to be 10 pushups, maybe with time I can be able to do above but if I can't, I will do 10 each day and in 10 days time I would be done with the complete pushups.
Question: can the pushups be done through the experience of DCAing strategy? Can I do my pushups gradually gradually like 10 tomorrow, 5 the next day, 10 the following day?

The only rule is to try and be a stronger person.  However you get that to work for you is up to you.  I recommend doing 100 push-ups in small sets throughout the day to get started and gradually increase as you are able.  You'll be surprised how fast you can do more.  After a couple weeks 20 push-ups at a time will be nothing.  Be careful not to push yourself too hard.  If you pull a muscle you'll be missing a lot of push-ups waiting to get better, or put yourself through a lot of pain getting your daily sets in.  I would say to just worry about improving yourself day to day.  Don't worry about where you start.

It seems like, I missed the train.
But yeah, I'll might try doing that and of course I should be able to do it too. Even though my body strength is currently weakening, and it's possible I can only do push up 5x in a day, but I have to try before the price of bitcoin reaches 100K. The good news is, the price of Bitcoin is moving quite quickly, I can't wait to get a healthy body.
Even though your body strength is becoming weak, don't allow it to stop you from taking part in this challenge because it can help you gain fitness. The most important thing is that you can do push-ups, but not up to 100 push-ups. Just do the push-ups your body can accept; as time goes on, you will gain some strength in your body that will make you improve. Even though you are doing 10 push-ups a day, it is a good number if you are consistent with it.

Ultimately, you can do whatever you like, but I think to stay in the spirit of the challenge there should be a need to try to emphasize pushups or the closest substitutes to pushups in the event that you are not able to do pushups.

Of course push-ups are a body weight exercise that we are able to modify based on angle and/or even style of our pushups - so we can take it everywhere - and maybe there is a bit of gruelingness to it to based on being able to do it anywhere, but maybe if we are in awkward situations, it might seem strange to do pushups in the parking lot or at the airport.. hahahahaaha
I understand. Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to integrate into my current workout so that it serves as a motivation as well or something.

It's funny that you suddenly do pushups in the parking lot before 12 midnight just to reach that 100 pushups for the day lol. I'm thinking of something like the duo lingo streak challenge or something like that that you really need to make up for the day and make sure to do it so the streak is alive.

You are strong lol. It's definitely not the same as the target exercise, but maybe it can work/ That's just what I thought of since with my current workout, that's the setup. I just wouldn't put it into more reps just purely continuous per setup like with declined or something.

That surely can be one of the strange parts of this whole project, including that it is a body weight exercise, so no extra gear or equipment is required.. so there could be some embarrassing moments in terms of trying to fit them in, as you mentioned... also sometimes with exertion there are grunts and even for me,  I frequently will feel much better to exert myself if I have not just eaten.. so if a person is driving to a restaurant, he cannot do pushups in the car, and so when he arrives, he might feel that he has to do the push-ups before he eats, or otherwise he might not feel that he is able to do them after he eats.. so what should he do?  Perhaps pump out a quick 20 or 30 pushups in order to try to stay on schedule, right?

Yep.. it is a pretty high level to be able to do 50 at once... even though I am pretty sure in my youth I would have been able to do it... right now I am capped out at 40.. and even that is a struggle.  I am frequently doing 30-35, and every once in a while 40.. but I am getting the sense that I might soon be able to cross over into 45. but it is still quite difficult for me... so I don't want to push it more than I already am.

This thread is one of the best I have come across, it has really been of benefit to me it has help bring back the spirit of exercise in me.
At first to me I thought it's going to be a mission impossible hitting 100 push-up a day but now it has become real, I now see my self pushing up 100+ though at first it wasn't really easy for there is no good thing that comes easy too, it has helped transform my body and am really enjoying it now, its something that doesn't require an equipment for it can be done anywere one feels like doing it, it has now made me to know that exercise is health I now look and feel healthy. All thanks to OgNasty (Op).

normally it ain't easy , nothing good  come that easy so for to be well fit you have to first strain your body, but true that not everyone can keep up with 100 pushups daily. So try and know your limit and know the numbers of pushups you can hit on a daily before bitcoin hit $100k , like earlier some uses mention the use of set to break your pushups in to simpler form. Like those that are hitting 50 pushups daily , if doing it all at ones is off limits to you could just break it in to 10/10/10/10/10, that means you will have to hit yah pushups ×5 a day. by doing 10 at a time , that is ones you hit 10 pushups you wait for some time (the duration depends on one stamina) to catch your breath , before  hitting another 10  pushups.

yeah this thread as being helpful lately, before I was ones someone who love doing exercise. Expecially during the period (of COVID locked down ) . So kinda bored back then so  I started hitting some exercise to while away time. But as time goes on a became lazy. And I was losing the shape, but ever since the thread came up, as helped me in building that fitness back I can feel my muscles enhancing and I know before bitcoin hitting $100k my body would be completely ripped. As they say better money,  better Body.

i broke the votes as a Tie breaker and voted for "Giving a Shot" but will start with at least 50k till I reach that 100k
because I have been making push up a day but it is 30 reps per day and that is enough for me before going to
shower and head in to work but this challenge will give me more motivation as I believe 100k is around the corner.
maintaining my promise push ups 30-60 per day depending in my workload.

for almost 1 month now I did not pay counting to my daily push but what i recorded is my weight loss.

from 87 kilograms ? now I am at my 84 means before bitcoin reaches 100k i will also attain my dream weight of 78 kilograms and thanks to @OgNasty for this initiative .

lets all go to the moon together .
