You have been registered on the forum since 2021 you have literally spent 5 years on the forum and I expect you to know alot about bitcoin investment the best strategy to invest with, but it is really so hilarious to see that the only strategy that you could recommend to beginners is buying the dip strategy. And it shows that you have not been following up with the discussion. Even though a beginner would buy the dip but they should not anticipate that rather, what they are supposed to do in that initial time is to adopt the DCA strategy maybe on the process of making their regular bitcoin purchase they will surely meet the opportunity to buy the dip rather than waiting for dip that they can't possibly predict when it will happen.
Yes, as you can see my registration date I am on this forum since 2021. But I already have discussed the issue that why I wasn't able to check the discussions. Anyway the main reason that I suggested the buying the dip strategy is because I have also experienced begginer level and I did used this strategy in that time cuz I didn't had much knowledge about others. And this strategy is the best one for begginers to start and will help them to prepare their own. There are still many strategy but to a begginer it is useless because there are many points that can be difficult for them to understand.

You said not one can decide the correct way to buy Bitcoin but you said the best time to buy Bitcoin is during the dip, if so that means you are equally saying that buy the dip is the correct way to buy Bitcoin. But how can that be through for a newbie who can use DCA strategy and can still buy the dip.
Wait a bit, I guess you are as well trying to advice traders? If that's the case, make your point very simple and clear that you are advising traders on when to buy and when to sell don't make it a general talk to avoid deceiving or confusing newbies.

Thst is the problem with some people they won't calm down and learn from people who has been there for long instead they will be in a rush to tell people they don't know any shit about the market. I know sometimes when people have a little clue on something they will always be in haste to tell people they have arrived but that is not what a wise person will do, a wise person will keep quiet and act like he or she doesn't know anything while they knew and they will be adding to the little they have and that is best way "act like you don't know"

I understand the fact that you are suggesting based on what you learnt as at that time but currently buying the dip is not the best strategy for beginners, because they don't know when dip will happen so if they keep waiting for dip to happen they will end up wasting a whole lot of time and still there's every possiblity of such newbie or beginner not to buy when the dip happens because they will be trying to figure out if the dip will continue or it will stop from the given price in that case they will keep procrastinating just to get the best entry point. And a beginner who is just getting started with Bitcoin investment has a long way to go so for that they don't necessarily need to engage themselves in any strategy that will slow their investment journey, so the best strategy that is highly recommended for beginners who are just getting started with Bitcoin investment is the regular DcAing.

if you follow DCA regularly weekly, then it will definitely be possible to keep your Bitcoin investment for a long time.
And besides, you will form an emergency fund, only by following these strategies can you achieve success.

DCA can help increase savings, but continuing to buy and holding on to your previous purchases for a long time are two different things. Many people sell after doing DCA or are forced to sell. You may be following the DCA strategy, but you are buying regularly with money that you will need after a few months, in which case you will not be able to sustain your plan even after doing DCA. Others may not buy regularly, but are buying according to their ability with money that they will not need for a long time, in which case their plan may be stronger. Because investing should not only involve buying regularly, but also investing with money that can be left untouched for a long time.

True success of Dollar-cost averaging ultimately boils down to what kind of funds you're investing with. Using funds which are necessary in the span of 3 – 6 month would lead to selling them during minor market fall. Which makes this approach wrong from the get-go.

I feel that people who want to try out DCA have two main requirements. First they need to have the opportunity to buy some small amounts periodically. And second to have enough patience to stick to their plan for quite a while.

So as you see dollar cost averaging main purpose is to deal with market volatility. Hence when doing crypto investments via dollar cost averaging, you’re supposed to put only an amount which you’ll be able to leave alone for the upcoming 3-5 year period and won’t affect your lifestyle. Having emergency funds set aside first ensures that you wouldn’t fail halfway through the process.

Patience and the ability to invest regularly are both important in DCA. However in my opinion it is not right to assume that holding an investment like Bitcoin for 3–5 years is enough. To increase the chances of good results one should have the mindset of holding Bitcoin for at least 4–10 years or more. Because moving forward with a long-term investment plan is not the same as expecting profits in a short period of time. Of course there is no guarantee that profits will be guaranteed just by holding it for a long time.

It is not enough to just plan to hold it for a long time the source of the investment money is equally important. DCA should be done from the extra money that is left after setting aside money for necessary expenses and emergencies. Because even if the market is in a bad state for a long time and you do not need that money the pressure to panic and sell Bitcoin is greatly reduced.

Another thing is that patience does not mean continuing to invest the same amount in any situation. Adjusting the amount of DCA if your income or expense situation changes can also be a responsible decision.  In my opinion it is important to accumulate Bitcoin regularly according to your ability stick to a long term plan and not make hasty decisions based on short-term market fluctuations.

The DCA method works for investments that have a good chance of increasing in price and fluctuate a lot in the short term, such as Bitcoin. Because the DCA method helps us get the average purchase price. For example, if you buy Bitcoin for $100 every week, sometimes the price of Bitcoin is low, then you can buy more Bitcoin for $100 than before, and sometimes the price of Bitcoin is high, then you can buy less Bitcoin.

A person needs to hold it for at least 2 cycles. One cycle or 5 years seems to be a very short time. So each person needs to hold it for 8 to 10 years.

We are discussing Bitcoin in this thread, so it is better to call it Bitcoin directly and do not create a confusing situation by calling it crypto. Because crypto refers to all currencies in the market. There are many fraudulent currencies in the market, by investing in which a person can be deceived. So just say Bitcoin directly and save everyone from getting confused, especially a new person.

This can mislead  investors especially newbies if you say that the DCA only work only for investments that have a chance to grow. People who read it may end up not knowing what DCA really is.

The DCA strategy is a way which investors use to invest a fixed amount gradually  instead  of investing everything at once. With this investors with small and irregular discretionary income can invest in bitcoin.

Also, buying bitcoin for 8–10 years does not automatically mean someone will make a profit. Because nobody knows exactly how the market will perform over that period. Holding for the long term requires patience, and investing money that will not affect your basic needs. The DCA is a strategy, not a guarantee of success.

The DCA strategy is effective for almost all classes of people, but for investment you have to continue only with the extra money you have, even if you do not have extra money in hand, you can arrange it because you can earn by starting a business or working hard. In this case, it all depends on you, how motivated you are to make your life comfortable and how much you are willing to work hard, you can create sources of income in various ways and earn from it, but it all needs to be in the right place and the plan is also right, through which you can easily manage your own life. On the other hand, you can start with the extra money you have in hand to invest and also need an emergency fund. It can meet the financial needs of your life, so it will help you meet the needs without touching your long-term investments.

You may be talking about discretionary money. Having a source of income does not guarantee discretionary money. You may have multiple sources of income and earn a lot of money, but you cannot be sure that you have discretionary money to invest. Because discretionary money does not depend on the source of income, but on the expenditure as opposed to the income.

Someone can have discretionary money to invest even if they earn $500. On the other hand, someone cannot create discretionary money even if they earn $1k-1.5k. Here inflation and family needs play a role. Another important thing is, do not invest all of your discretionary money. Invest some money and keep some money in a backup fund.

That right, someone’s discretionary is not really determine by how much they earn, but by how much they have left after spending on their basic needs. An individual could be earning so much but then they could be spending so much on their needs. then earning so much gives most people that opportunity to earn much and invest with a very large portion of their discretionary income.

So it depends on how much discretionary income you have, if you have so much of it, then you can invest part of it and save some as your emergency funds and your reserve funds but if it little you can just use it to invest and start looking for way to get more discretionary income for your backup funds.

Using the word crypto to associate bitcoin here can mislead newbies to invest in shitcoins so it’s better you just stick to the main point of discussion which is bitcoin and not just any crypto. And again you seem to be suggesting that newbies must set aside emergency funds first before they can start investing in bitcoin which is also misleading because they must not have emergency funds before they can invest in bitcoin. If they wait to set aside emergency funds first it might take them many years before they can set it out and they might even end up not investing In bitcoin anymore, so i think that they don’t need to wait until they set aside emergency funds before investing in bitcoin, they can start investing if their discretionary income is available and then while they are buying bitcoin they can be building their emergency funds gradually or they do it side by side.

Setting long term investment in 3-5 years can also mislead them because there’s no guarantee that they will be profitable within that period because bitcoin is volatile which is why I think they should just focus on accumulating bitcoin regularly for long term.

Long term investors can find a steady investment approach such as DCa to be extremely advantageous. It prevents you from entering and exiting the market at the exact right moment and eliminates the emotional aspect of reacting to price changes.
By following the DCA strategy, one gets the opportunity to buy in small amounts according to one's ability. Even if one starts small and buys regularly, people gradually understand how stable they can be when the price falls and whether they deviate from their plan when the price rises. However, it is not that easy to completely remove emotions when the price falls. By following the DCA method, you may not have to worry about the time to buy, but fear, greed, impatience or the tendency to suddenly sell does not end on its own. If someone invests beyond their ability and does not keep an emergency fund, then even after doing regular DCA, they may be forced to sell or if the market is down, they may be pressured to sell. Then the problem is not DCA but the weakness of the plan.

That is why it is advised to first separate all your necessary expenses and then make regular purchases from the discretionary income part and at the same time pay attention to the emergency fund.
Create an investment plan that can be followed not only when the market is performing well but also during market downturns without compromising your financial situation. While market fluctuations are beyond our control our spending habits, the amount we invest and our consistency remain within our control.
You are right about sticking to your plan even when the price drops. I will make another distinction. Changing your purchase amount out of fear when the price drops is not the same as changing your purchase amount because your financial situation has changed.

You may have set a weekly purchase amount based on your income and expenses. But later your income decreased or your family's essential expenses increased. If you think that maintaining the previous amount will be discipline, you are wrong rather, it can be a source of stress. Reducing the amount or stopping new purchases for some time can actually protect your ability to hold the bitcoins you previously purchased. Although expenses, allocation, and continuity are somewhat under our control, not all changes in expenses or income are under our control. Therefore, the plan should include not only how much money to buy, but also under what circumstances we will recalculate the amount.
The dollar cost averaging strategy doesn’t require an investor to stick to your purchase amount even when it’s inconvenient for them, the investment isn’t do or die affair. We are encouraged to invest within our means and not beyond our discretionary income. Each investor buys with an amount that is convenient with their financial situation. While we should try our best to remain consistent in our investment, we shouldn’t allow it or anyone to pressure us.

they don’t need to wait until they set aside emergency funds before investing in bitcoin, they can start investing if their discretionary income is available and then while they are buying bitcoin they can be building their emergency funds gradually or they do it side by side.

For any one that is starting out this one of the most practical pieces of financial advice. It a massive roadblock for a beginner that has the idea that they most have to fund an emergency stash before having to make their first investment. Having to want to wait first to build up emergency funds first will delay your investment journey and your end up not starting.

A much more realistic approach is to use the strategy of building up side by side using your DCA. When all and all is being don your discretionary income after taking care of the basic needs, you simply split it. All you need is to do is to put a portion to a liquid reserve fund and then go on witj the remaining one and continuously buy Bitcoin. With this you are growing your long term portfolio while at the other hand  too you are building the safety net needed for you to avoid panic selling when markets falls.
