I agree with you, a lot of people get confused believeing in Bitcoin investment with simply hoping that Bitcoin goes up higher there is a huge difference if people bought Bitcoin because you know why you want to keep it for longer time 15 to 30 % shouldn't suddenly change your mindset. People who invest money they can actually need for rent an emergency when the Bitcoin market drops because the pressure is already there.
Are you sure you are not confusing yourself in this comment? I have read the post many times, trying to make sense of it but I fail each other times I tried. Everyone investing in Bitcoin hopes to make profits and to ensure that the investor gets profits for his investment, it is recommended to hold for ling because the longer you hold, the more your chances of making profits increases based on the historic data of Bitcoin. To ensure that the investor is able to hold for long, it becomes necessary to invest with discretionary income and also set aside emergency funds. This is the sequence for building a healthy Bitcoin portfolio.

It usually takes 1 year, and in some cases 2 years, to build an emergency fund. If people focus on emergency funds instead of investing all this time, it seems like they are facing a big loss in solving one problem while facing another. Two things can be done at the same time. A part of discretionary income can be used for investments and another part for emergency funds, personal discretion. But the individual has to decide with common sense what proportion to divide it at what level.
If we focus on both investments and emergency funds at the same time, then maybe after 2 years we will have emergency funds and Bitcoin. The one who waited will only have emergency funds.
The requirements to start Bitcoin investment is your discreationary income, one can develop his emergency funds together with his Bitcoin acumulation progressively, emergency funds is not something one should keep when you have not invested anything in Bitcoin, both action is good to be going with each other, it not like it is bad to have your emergency funds ready as you want to invest, but the question is, how many persons can patiently build emergency funds for very long-term and still have the interest to invest in Bitcoin after, what happens to doing both simultaneously to prevent one from making unfavourable decisions along the line. If someone doesn’t have enough funds to start building an emergency fund together with Bitcoin accumulation, it would be better to start by accumulating Bitcoin first and after some time, begin building the emergency fund in between.I think it is very wrong to start building an emergency fund before starting Bitcoin investment. If we can start both together accumulating Bitcoin and building an emergency fund then what is the point of someone starting with the emergency fund first? It doesn’t make sense because what you are protecting doesn’t yet exist. That means someone is just keeping that money aside for a period of time without first building the asset they intend to protect.Trying to build an emergency fund before starting to buy Bitcoin is like buying the furniture for a house you are planning to build without even laying the foundation of the building.

I agree with idea of building a emergency fund along side while accumulating bitcoin. I believe that is best thing to do rather than waiting to build an emergency fund first before you start buying bitcoin. But I think you are wrong in the part where you said " maybe after 2 years we will have emergency funds and Bitcoin. The one who waited will only have emergency funds." because one of the reason why we always advise investors to buy bitcoin using discretionary income is because profit is not guarantee and even if you may want to sell off your bitcoin it's always adviseable to wait for at least 4 to 10 years so that by then you might have accumulate enough before making a sale

Following your discretionary income, as follows. Emergency funds come next, and if you are successful in setting this up, I don't think there are any objections that should stop your investment procedures because you have what to fall back on in an emergency. We need to gradually understand this so that we don't have to sell, and we need to understand that investing is not as easy as we think, even when you have your emergency funds, it comes with a lot of sacrifices, which is why only a small percentage of us can actually stay that mistake is already there. Because when you are holding temptation of wanting to sell will come especially when the price is coming down and that is why we need to be ready.

You should always move forward with a goal, and no matter what the situation is, you should never deviate from that goal. Whether the market situation decreases or increases, you should never sell your holdings until you reach the time frame you have set. You should set a clear strategy and stick to it in the long term. Those who change their strategy and goals with the situation can never succeed, because they cannot survive in anything. And if you do not manage things perfectly, you will not only not have a chance of success, but you will definitely lose more. So, in the case of Bitcoin, move forward with a long-term goal, keep your purchase consistent in any situation and continue it for 8-10 years according to the goal, then you will see that you will achieve much better success at the end.
Ascertaining the possibility of success in an asset that is extremely volatile such as Bitcoin isn't very realistic...TBH, success isn't guaranteed in Bitcoin even when folks accumulate consistently for a long term periods.. So it is best to erase from your mind over any kind of over expectations from Bitcoin and rather just invest with the mindset that is open to various possibilities... Long term investment is still good anyways since it has higher chances of placing folks in a much more better position as opposed to trading which reduces your chances to let me say the bearest minimum due to how high it risk is... Making profit can't be separated from Bitcoin whether in trading or investing. If profit isn't part of Bitcoin people won't invest or trade. Let me just pay attention to investing in Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is not without that the hope of profit after the long run even with the unquenchable reality that making profit in Bitcoin is not guaranteed but the level of consistency of an investor in accumulation will go on to amplify the profit should it be the case. In as much as an investor can't invest without being hopeful of profit, planning your life around the profit that Bitcoin investment will provide is where an investor will be getting it wrong but then not planning one's life around the profit that Bitcoin will produce doesn't necessarily mean investing without hope of profit, it only means being in total control of your mind and mental state should their be a loss as oppose to hope of profit and these is a major reason why discretionary funds remains the best funds to use in Bitcoin investment.

Instead of doing this, it is possible to create both continuous investments and emergency savings together, keeping both in half and half. Until the emergency fund is created, you can continue to invest with 50% and create an emergency fund with 50%. This way, when the emergency fund is completely created, you can continue to invest with the whole amount. But it is not necessary to delay investing just to create an emergency fund, and it should not be done. First of all, you have to start investing, after starting investing, everything can be created.

But I think you are wrong in the part where you said " maybe after 2 years we will have emergency funds and Bitcoin. I do not think the reason people are advised to use their discretionary income to invest in bitcoin is simply because profit is not guarantee but rather it is what an investor won't think about for the time been meaning it is what they are comfortable with, if they are not comfortable with it and they are aware that profit is not sure i doubt is majority will venture into. lastly, no one is advised to sell in 4 to 10 years because who knows what bitcoin will be doing then i mean the asset is very volatile so i think the best time is when someone have reached their peak (overaccumulation stage).

Using discretionary income is same with using money you can afford to lose , same with money you are comfortable with . Using money you are not comfortable with, will definitely affect your bitcoin investment. Like for instance using from your emergency funds to accumulate bitcoin a time may come when you will need that money to handle some emergency and what will come to your mind next us tampering with your bitcoin investment, regardless of the market conditions. That's why is better to invest with money you can hold for long and comfortable with.

Whenever anyone does not have sufficient resources to start establishing an emergency fund while also acquiring Bitcoin, it is preferable to begin gathering Bitcoin first and then construct the emergency fund later.I believe that creating an emergency fund before investing in Bitcoin is a bad idea. If we can begin collecting Bitcoin and establishing an emergency fund shared, what is the sense of starting with the emergency fund first? It doesn't make sense because what you're safeguarding isn't already there.
This implies somebody is simply putting that money aside for a while without first constructing the asset they plan to safeguard.Trying to develop an emergency fund before beginning to acquire Bitcoin is like to purchasing furnishings for a house you intend to build without first laying the groundwork.

Well I don’t think anyhow how have a basic knowledge about bitcoin will think of starting up emergency funds before even starting accumulating. When starting your bitcoin journey it best to first have your discretionary income discovered, then after that you can begin to think to split the discretionary income into 2 or 3 places, so some part will be used for emergency funds. Don’t start with saving your emergency funds, you can even get tempted to spend part of it even before starting your bitcoin journey.

If you are new to bitcoin then first thing you need to do is start investing without any further wastage of time. In start we need to be aggressive in Bitcoin accumulation until we have some decent number of Bitcoins in our stash and we must not look at price of Bitcoin in our initial phase of accumulation. Emergency funds are also important and must not be overlooked because they are the one that will help you in holding your bitcoin for longer duration. Keeping this in mind, everyone must figure out that how much emergency funds are sufficient for him and also create a strategy to accumulate them along with Bitcoin accumulation.

A true investor does not mean that Bitcoin can never be sold or that Bitcoin must be held in all situations. A good investor will rather know in advance why he is buying Bitcoin or for how many years he will keep it and if necessary, what percentage he can sell or when to change the plan based on his financial situation.
I don't know what you are trying to drive at but I want you to know that before you start investing in Bitcoin you must have known that the money that is needed to invest in Bitcoin is not money meant for our expenses but rather your discretionary income which is why you don't have to touch your invetsment. The point we should be talking about touching our investment or selling some part of it, is when an investor must have gotten to their overaccumulation stage It seems like he's portraying trading here for mentioning about what percentage he can able to sell. But he will not provably do that if aside for building up their portfolio, they also pay attention to build their emergency funds. If he used his discretionary funds for investment for sure he won't say those things here. Nothing is preventing them to sell their Bitcoin, but make sure they didn't made it because either they panic when market collapsed, desperate to liquidate because they lose their patience then think about Bitcoin will not going to pump. Holding Bitcoin for many years is challenging, but if they execute it well together with doing discipline, there's a chance that same with past holders they also get great profits to. You guys!! Let’s not be very sentimental in this discussion, I don’t think he’s portraying trading or anything else. I don’t know if you guys read the first line of his statement. What makes you a holder or an investor isn’t because you never sell your bitcoin. Bitcoin is meant to be bought and sold. A good investor has a plan, follows through on it, protects his bitcoin (securing wallets and building backup funds) and knows when to sell. The only problem with selling is when you’re only after small gains or when you panic sell or for lack of emergency funds sell part of your portfolio.

You are right that an emergency fund is important when investing in Bitcoin, but priority should be given to starting the investment first. And the same rule of dividing the DCA into three parts cannot be applied to everyone. Many people already have a back up fund, already have investments in other assets, or if a large amount of savings is already in the bank, then they should not waste extra time and form a back up fund. Instead, they can start investing in Bitcoin directly. The purpose of an emergency fund is also often misunderstood. Many people think that it can generate returns in some way. But everyone should always solve emergency moments with a back up fund or emergency fund. It is not better making decisions like buying Bitcoin with it. Many people can use an emergency fund to invest in Bitcoin when price in DIP. That would be a wrong decision in the case of Bitcoin long term accumulation.

Dude, no one is been sentimental here, a true investor should accumulate Bitcoin and hold it till maturity which is overaccumulation stage and touching your portfolio at this stage ( selling) won't change anything because your investment is matured and I don't think it will be wrong for someone who farmed for a long period of time to harvest his or her plants when those plant are matured so we should think of harvesting only when plants are due for...

Yes, you are right. An investor can only think of selling some part of his holdings when it have reached his desired targets and not because he has accumulate so much. Every investor should have a target set as he his starting his Bitcoin journey. An investor without target is like to sell part of his holding because he is an investor without plan. So no one is saying selling of your holding is bad, but only do that when you have reached your goal, and even at that you can’t just sell everything, you can just sell some of it and set another target. Bitcoin investment is for the future, we can just be selling our holdings because we have accumulate much of it.

Just as you said discovered your discretionary income and split it into three meaning divided into three places first one should be your investment, the second one should be your emergency funds and third one should be your discretionary consumption. If all this has been set aside then your investment will be a very good and smooth one, since you have solved almost 90% of the problems that will be an obstacles to your investment.
This is usually the mistakes that some of them makes, some will even go to the extent of investing their emergency funds which is usually the first step of collapsing their investment.
Yes dude, emergency fund should always be there to protect one when things get ugly and unexpected expenses, i think the fact here is looking at ones own financial situation rather than moving one fixed idea. If anyone already has enough saving and other Bitcoin investment in place they might not need to spend weeks or months in building another beck up fun before they will begin their Bitcoin plan the good things is to understand what kind of amount of money one can actually afford to put and keep one emergency money rather to separate from it.

So no one is saying selling of your holding is bad, but only do that when you have reached your goal, and even at that you can’t just sell everything, you can just sell some of it and set another target. Bitcoin investment is for the future, we can just be selling our holdings because we have accumulate much of it.
Selling your bitcoin when you are still supposed to buying is wrong because doing this you won't get to your bitcoin over accumulation target and when you are use to selling you may sell all of there bitcoin one day and then stay with out holding bitcoin, those who should think selling some bitcoin holding are those long time investors that has accumulated bitcoin and has reached their bitcoin over accumulation phase.

Many people don't know the right time to sell, they just think they can buy, hold for a few period and take profits when the market goes up, that's same thing as trading, investing in Bitcoin require some to hold longer, atleast 4 years before considering selling, Bitcoin is not an asset that gives fast profits so threating it like one is bad. Even those who has held very long are not supposed to sell everything at ones, sometimes individuals need to learn from those big players, they do sell but you'll barely hear that they sold everything, they take some portions and continue with the investment which is after they have held long enough.

Look man, even if person wait and then sells after four year pass, that is still trading. Bitcoin has no guarantee, so even if person ongoingly invest for four year and beyond, there is still no assurance that the person will have made profit. So what if after after the completion of four years and the market becomes red, anyone who will be selling at that time will be selling at a loss even if they had to wait after four straight years before selling. Long time investment should never ever be about an investor selling even after four years have passed. If the person is still earning and having their discretionary income, then that person should just keep on investing ongoingly for as long as they can. Four year shouldn't always be made as the minimum benchmark. Any person can go farther than that if they want to,the important thing is for person to keep on investing and also saving emergency funds.
