There is a time to buy and when you are buying, keep at it and don't allow the chart influence your buy decision.
And when did you think it's  time to buy ? Remember you're giving this advice to a beginner so I would appreciate it if you make things clearer for him. The time to buy should be when he figured out his discretionary funds. And when buying he shouldn't look at the market chart or trying to time the market that's if they want their accumulation journey not be a bit stressful for them because I saw some newbie Bitcoin testifying on how Bitcoin investment has been very stressful not knowing that it's due to the strategy they've chosen to adopt that made their accumulation journey to be a bit stressful for them. That is why I frequently suggest that a beginner should adopt the DCA strategy because it's the most flexible method of accumulating bitcoin.
He has his points, don't you think investing without season, is a time to buy? I think what he was trying to say is that we should buy consistently with letting charts change our minds from buying, the point is clear, he may not have put it this way, but I believe that's what he was trying to say, he is not trying to confuse anyone.
I see people who say Bitcoin investment is stressful as those who are unwilling to take actions, especially those that has there discretionary income and still procrastinate, Bitcoin acumulation goes well when we are good at managing our finances very well, you're right by saying beginner have to embrace the DCA method to enable them invest efficiently.

Most of the people that panic in after they have invested...actually 85% of them have not invested in Bitcoin before...and some of them are into short-term investment...because i understand that why short-term investors always been curious to make withdrawal whenever they invested in Bitcoin and price of Bitcoin is not promising, it's based on, some of them capitals they use invest doesn't belong to them....I think that's one of the factors that makes them to be more curious to make a profit and also panicked whenever Bitcoin price are falling...
For a brand new investor to panic when there is a dip doesn't mean that he has invested with what he cannot afford to lose. He's still new and everything happening in the market is still new to him and I wouldn't blame brand new investors for panicking as long as they don't panic and sell their accumulated bitcoin.

One thing with bitcoin investment is that, if you haven't experienced how the market movement is like, you will think that a dip means the price is going down finally and wouldn't rise again but as you spend more time in the market, you'll overcome that fear and increase your confidence in bitcoin.

This is the reason why brand new investors who are in doubt or fear should start their DCA with little amount of money and be regular with their bitcoin accumulation in order to build their confidence by learning more about bitcoin and having experience of the market movement. As time goes on when their confidence in bitcoin have increased, they can increase their DCA amount and invest aggressively.

Some newbies may panic and sell if no body told them that bitcoin is volatile, which means despite the dip the price will also rise one day just to keep there mind at peace, panicking from newbie is normal as long as they don't panic and sell half way.

It's good to get a better orientation about bitcoin investment as a newbie before getting started to avoid unnecessary panic, tell them things they need to know about bitcoin investment, how the price can go up and sometimes come down, and also the right investment funds to use which is their discretionary income and the strategy to use which is the dca strategy so that when they see somethings happening around the market they wouldn't panic and sell their bitcoin at lost.

The primary reason for panic selling is not merely the fact that an investor is new or is not using their own capital the real issue is that people invest money in Bitcoin that they might need in the near future.
When use the money you can't afford to lose, due yo don't have reserve, you will be panicked whenever the price of Bitcoin are falling.... And why some people panic that much, is because all their hope depends on the investment....

consequently as soon as the price drops they abandon long term plans and sell hastily to avoid losses.
That's the proof to let you know that they're amateur, someone who is experiencd investor will never panic to sell because of loses...Good investor have a target and it invest with what it can afford to lose...especially it invest with a discretionary income.

The primary reason for panic selling is not merely the fact that an investor is new or is not using their own capital the real issue is that people invest money in Bitcoin that they might need in the near future. consequently as soon as the price drops they abandon long term plans and sell hastily to avoid losses.

Bitcoin's Volatility is nothing new. The problem lies not in the price drop itself but in failing to assess one's Financial capacity and investment timeframe beforehand. one should set aside funds for emergencies and essential expenses investing only discretionary income that won't cause financial strain if left untouched for a long period. Doing so reduces the likelihood of panic selling even during a 30–40% market Correction.

Therefore rather than Simply blaming new investors or a short term mindset the focus should be on Whether the investor can comfortably hold the investment. investing excessive capital without proper financial planning is the root cause of panic selling blaming Bitcoin later is merely an attempt to mask that flawed Planning .
It is normal for a volatile asset like Bitcoin to experience a 30–40% or more price drop. But a market crash does not force anyone to sell. The problem is when a person invests money in Bitcoin that they may need for an emergency in a few months. Then, a situation may arise where they have to sell at a loss due to necessity. A person may think that they can withstand the decline. But if they do not have emergency savings and need that money within a few months, then in reality their risk capacity is much lower. In every case, the investor is to blame for panic selling. Unexpected personal circumstances or any other emergency can force an investor to sell the asset before their plan. There is no way to deny the volatility of Bitcoin. If you know about the volatility in advance and make your financial plan accordingly, the same decline can be a temporary market fluctuation for one person and a real financial crisis for another. Ultimately, how volatile an asset is is as important as how safely the investor can carry that volatility in their financial life.

buy or sell? 😭 honestly depends on the chart, but panic selling is usually where it gets ugly lol

Panic selling is quite common among newbies and those that still don’t understand what they are investing in. I’m speaking base on experience , because then I was the type that usually panic and sell when the market dip , dropping the value of my assets . Not realizing that the more I panic sell the more I loss , because in order no matter are the price drop Aslong you still hold and didn’t sell you are not in loss , unless you sold during the dip all the name of panicking .

I agree with you partially because it is not only common to newbie even some folks who are not newbie do panic when the market starts dropping and most of the time the reason is because they used money they can not afford to lose so they think or believe the market will continue dropping till the worth of their asset is nothing. I believe it was almost same thing that happened to you back then or perhaps you didn't believe in the asset because if you don't believe or have confident in Bitcoin you will definitely panic or sell at some point because you always see drama in the market ( some scarery fluctuations).

Why would you invest in Bitcoin and then panic to sell? As you mentioned, there are still people who are familiar with the market, but they still panic and want to sell. By now, they should know that the market will recover no matter what, so there is nothing to even panic about. We understand that it is difficult to see your assets decline, but you have to be emotionally spent and prepared when you want to invest in Bitcoin. There is more for you to understand that this is how the system is set up. And the market is volatile and there is not wrong with that and when ever the market is down then it is supposed to used as an advantage, when the market is down then you find a way of buying more.

Panic selling is as a result of investing what you cannot afford to lose, their is nothing amateur there, because even an experience investor will panic if he invest what he cannot afford to lose, so for use to avoid such, it will be better that we invest only what we can afford to lose, because by doing that, you are not going to panic if the market is down or the volatility is doing his job.

We all can testify that when someone have nothing to lose, he will be less bothered of a situation or the final outcome of it, and that is how those that invested what they can afford to lose is, so it's very important that a bitcoin investor, invest only what he can afford to lose, in other for him not to sell in panic when their is a dip in the market.

I believe the question is not so much newbie or experienced, but: do they have a plan before they get into the market? Many people can get panicky about Bitcoin even if they understand the concept of bitcoin. For the dipper, it could be an opportunity, but it's not equally sensible to do so without making any effort. A pre-defined allocation, time horizon and amount of money that you know you can endure volatility has the potential of simplifying the avoidance of emotional decisions. No one is entitled to any recovery at the market on his or her preferred schedule.

The reason for panicking and selling of bitcoin comes down to a lot of things, with the most common ones being newbies who just came into the market without proper knowledge of the market conditions and those who gamble by investing money for essentials into bitcoin.

Another group of persons who panic and sell are those practicing short term trading, maybe they have the goal of a certain amount of profit by the stipulated time and BTC doesn’t hit their target and starts dipping, this makes them start panicking and result to selling to keep their little profits from dipping away.

The things that  individuals sometimes forget is that a falling market can also reveal whether their original investment plan was realistic seeing every dip as a chance to purchase more it can be a moment to view your finances knowing what caused the move and decided whether your existing method still makes sense yes that kind of discipline can really be more useful than telling one not panic.

This an important point cause it not all dip that automatically should be seen as an opportunity of buying. Most times falling market will allow you to understand if the timeframe chosen or amount you invested wasn’t the actual suitable for your situation. Having a plan help you to give you something to review when market changes that the useful part of having a plan.
If your reason behind your investing haven’t change you see no reason to react to every dip. But if your reason behind your investing changes or a financial situation changes, then blindly buying more or holding may not be making sense either.

Most of the people that panic in after <..>
The primary reason for panic selling is not merely the fact that an investor is new or is not using their own capital the real issue is that people invest money in Bitcoin that they might need in the near future.
When use the money you can't afford to lose, due yo don't have reserve, you will be panicked whenever the price of Bitcoin are falling.... And why some people panic that much, is because all their hope depends on the investment....

Quote
consequently as soon as the price drops they abandon long term plans and sell hastily to avoid losses.
That's the proof to let you know that they're amateur, someone who is experiencd investor will never panic to sell because of loses...Good investor have a target and it invest with what it can afford to lose...especially it invest with a discretionary income.

If you invest money you cannot afford to lose essentially making a wrong investment move I would suggest identifying your surplus income first. Anyone can invest but the key lies in investing according to a proper plan.

You were right one should always use excess money in their income money that is not needed for the family for educational purposes or for emergency and invest it. No one desires to lose out on the funds we all invest with the hope of making money. Errors occur when people make investments before they have determined how much they have to invest. It is more important that you have the ability to comfortably invest that money in the long term than the number of dollars you invest. But if you invest a huge amount now and if the market goes down and you have to pull out of it when you need money then your long term plan is rendered ineffective. So it's best to first save up for your basic needs and emergency funds and then save what you can from that extra money. This can minimize the chances of extraneous alarm about your investments during market turbulence.

Ultimately a good investment depends not just on where you put your money but also on the amount invested and your ability to hold onto it over time. It is far more realistic to start small and remain consistent in the long run than to invest beyond your means and panic later. We cannot control market movements but the amount of risk we take and the capital we deploy are entirely our own decisions.

Perhaps you don't understood what I said because if you do, you won't be asking me this question however, the reason why someone will invest in Bitcoin and still panic and want to sell even when they are familiar with the market is because they don't have the intention to hold for long term and sometimes it is because they probably must have used money meant for their needs hoping and praying to double it but the funny part is that market doesn't care about your hope or prayers so it is always advisable to use our discretionary and plan for the long term.

buy or sell? 😭 honestly depends on the chart, but panic selling is usually where it gets ugly lol
If your buy and sell decision depends on the chart, then the chart will also lead you to panic selling. looking at the chart is not entirely bad depending on how you look at it but basing your action on what the chats says only means that you will be willing to sell even when you have not reached your investment goal and that is more land planting and trying to reap even when the crops have not attained maturity.

There is a time to buy and when you are buying, keep at it and don't allow the chart influence your buy decision. selling should never come to mind as long as you are still building your bitcoin stack. build first and when you have reached your investment goal, you can then talk of a possible sell.

I’m also not in support of bitcoin investor consistently looking at a chart while invest in bitcoin. Looking at a chart always, may make investor to take unnecessary decisions, which may not part of is first plan, once your decision begin to depend on chart, that mean you are getting closer to trading mindset. Because even if your initial plan is to invest for long term, seeing red handle  moving up and down will definitely create fears, at the end you break the rules of long term investment. So as a bitcoin investor, chart should not be what determine what do with your bitcoin, that your initial plan of long term should be what to stick with, no matter what the chart is showing, and again, I don’t say looking at chart is bad, it good to know what is happening, but stick to long term plan and be consistent is what matter.

It depends on the strategy the person is using because for someone that is using DCA strategy to buy bitcoin there won't be need for them to be analysing charts before buying. It is only those that using buying the dip that actually needs to go through charts in order to try to predict the market. Another set of people I believe that uses charts are traders, long term investors that using DCA rand are not trying to outsmart the market doesn't needs to be studying charts because DCA has nothing to do with market analysis before buying.

A newbie should be able to understand Bitcoin to the level of not  panicking or selling anytime soon, once the market experience any changes in Bitcoin price, there are things that i consider as a primary tips that a newbie should have be aware of during his days of orientation about Bitcoin, before considering to invest in Bitcoin, so if incase any newbies has the basic knowledge on how Bitcoin works and yet still panic, it means that such newbie has a wrong impression about Bitcoin from the person that introduced Bitcoin to the newbie because DCA strategy and discretionary income is among the primary tips that a newbie should be aware of and how to use them appropriately in order to not be panicking for any reason.

A new investor needs to learn one very critical thing before making their first purchase: short-term price swings are common, and you should never assume that Bitcoin is always profitable or safe to buy. Without that understanding, a minor correction can go from not worrying to a panic extremely quickly. DCA is useful because it can distribute the individual's purchase across multiple markets to avoid attempting to time the market with a specific entry point.

However, DCA doesn't eliminate the risk of a loss if Bitcoin drops significantly.

The money invested also needs to come from money that isn't needed in the short-term from rent, an emergency fund, or money they need to sustain their lifestyle. Finally, they need to have a planned reason and timeline before investing. If an individual has a few months until needing the money, putting that in a wildly volatile asset could make that deathless, concerning position several times worse. Understanding how Bitcoin works is very important, but also understanding their own risk and financial limitations is just as critical.

Proper research can help to eliminate unnecessary panic and facilitate better rational decision-making.

That isn't important before starting to invest. I don't see why person have to know every fucking thing before they can start to buy. Imo person do not even have to have their investments timeline figured out before buying bitcoin. Just by knowing the basics and having discretionary income and also common sense, then the person can starting to be investing ongoingly.

Along the way, your income can change and expenses can increase, all this added up can make you to either elongate that your timeline or reduce it. So if that can happen, don't you see how dumb it will now be for person to be have wasted time planning a timeline that they may not even follow eventually. Life is volatile and things could changes real fast, so person should be flexible not rigid so that they can be able to adjust whatever needs adjustment when the time for it comes.

One thing that's quite true, in my opinion is that if someone holds for the long term they won't feel anxious about market conditions that can trigger panic.

Imagine if the goal of investing is long-term, regardless of the conditions they won't experience panic when holding Bitcoin whether the market is declining or declining. In fact, if a decline occurs, I think they can take advantage of the situation by buying Bitcoin to accumulate the amount they will have in the future, which will increase their assets over time, rather than panic gripping them when holding Bitcoin during a market downturn.
