Guys might not be sufficiently serious about buying and/or investing into bitcoin if they cannot figure out ways to buy bitcoin every week.  Sure, they can invest on a more delayed timeline, yet it seems that they should be able to figure out how to invest more frequently, including weekly, especially if they are trying to be serious about building their bitcoin holdings.
Yes, I support that buying weekly is better and more beneficial in building a bitcoin portfolio than buying monthly or any other time period but I also do not think that those who buy monthly are not serious investors.

Some investors may prefer to just buy once the discretionary income is available because if they try to split it to be able to buy weekly they might end up not using it as intended before the month runs out or it could be any other reason why they’ll want to, it’s at their discretion and pace, there’s no pressure.

What’s important is that they remain consistent and disciplined enough to never falter from their plans.

You are correct, that in the end, each person has to figure out his balance in buying bitcoin and his priority, and he can be whimpy about buying bitcoin, aggressive, or some stage in between.

I understand that there are even guys who struggle to generate discretionary funds and/or struggle to get their discretionary funds up to a high enough level so that they are able to invest into bitcoin, and at the same time, bitcoin is an important and serious investment that warrants whatever attempts that guys can make to increase their bitcoin investment and to put priority to their bitcoin investment.

Sure, I generally suggest that guys can invests as much as they are able to, and I even provide a decently large suggested range of 5% to 25%, and I understand that many normal people struggle to save and/or invest 10% of their income on a regular basis, yet at the same time, since there should be a priority in investing into bitcoin, serious guys in bitcoin should be striving to figure out how they can improve their situation (and/or prioritize) to invest 10% to 15% or more of their income into bitcoin as much as they can. .. and anyone investing 10% or more of their income into bitcoin, should be able to figure out how to buy bitcoin weekly rather than monthly or anything longer than weekly.

Yes it’s true, I agree that the more serious guys will find ways to improve their discretionary income to be able to invest weekly and consistently because bitcoin will be a top priority, and it should be for everyone getting into bitcoin investment because there are many advantages of bitcoin over other investments when measured in the long term.

Your suggestions are 100% valid and relatable to the larger population of investors. The range of 5% to 25% is pretty doable by all, everyone just have to find their range and work on improving it.

The prediction isn't a reason for folks who lack emergency finances not to begin purchasing bitcoin once their free time is available. Emergency funds is a vital aspect of a purchase, no question, but possessing zero essential funds shouldn't be an excuse to put off getting began with buying bitcoins. It isn't essential that you possess emergency resources for beginning investing in bitcoins for consumers.

First and foremost, newcomers can invest in bitcoins only if they have access to disposable income, and they may create funds for emergencies along the way. They can also do it side by side while purchasing bitcoins, using a portion of their disposable income to accumulate bitcoin and distributing the rest to create funds for emergencies.

Waiting to have emergency funds first before starting to buy Bitcoin will likely lead to missed buying opportunities like those who wait for the before buying.
Now to think of, how much emergency funds will you keep before you start buying? This question gives all the answers which the fact that emergency funds must not be piled up before you start buying Bitcoin since it's something that you can keep keeping as you keep buying Bitcoin.

Well, there is nothing actually wrong if someone have emergency funds at same time with their discretionary income i mean this can be very cool and perfect and I believe some people do have these funds before starting their Bitcoin investment and this is always as a result of the kind of income they have but it will be lack of knowledge for someone who don't have same source of income to think of having these two funds before they can start their investment and while investing one should not look at what others are doings because they can be distracted by greed or something.

Long term investment won’t teach you any patience if you don’t already have patience and discipline in your life as a quality, prior to the time of investing in bitcoin. Not everybody has patience as a quality in life, you will be whom you are after investing in bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin won’t just transform an impatience  man to a patient man.
Patience is something that can really be developed through experience and and a personal quality, cause you won’t expect an impatient person to just invest in Bitcoin and automatically makes the person patient. But following up with a long term plan can help out to control one’s urge to want to react to every price movement.

Given an example, someone can decide to start up with a short term plan but on the long round, he will realize that this buying and selling is not really working out for him. Than will want to find an approach that fit his goal than stick to a strategy. With time you will see that they gradually develop more discipline. So you will see that the experience itself teaches also, so we shouldn’t basically say that patience must have to be in an existence before anyone start to invest.

If you don't already possess patience and discipline in your life before investing in bitcoin, long-term investing won't teach you any of these traits. You will become the person you are after investing in bitcoin; not everyone is patient. A man who is impatient won't simply become patient by investing in bitcoin. Because of this, some people will tell you that they can't keep their bitcoin for very long. This isn't because they dislike the idea, but rather because they don't have the patience or self-control to do so.

Investing in bitcoin will not change this overnight. They may be able to hold out for a few weeks or months at first, but in the long run, their inherent quality will always prevail. So, before investing in bitcoin, prospective investors should understand their own strengths and weaknesses.

While Bitcoin may not make anyone patient overnight, investors learn to adapt to market fluctuations gradually by following a plan of buying small amounts regularly after meeting all expenses with discretionary income. The problem is not with investing, but rather with not having a plan in place for investing.

If someone enters with a quick profit, uses the money they need, and is afraid of the price dropping, they will probably sell within a few weeks. But if you determine in advance through proper planning that this money is not for long-term use, sets aside urgent expenses, and does not make decisions based on price fluctuations, then that rule can train your behavior. Therefore, potential investors need to know their own weaknesses, but knowing those weaknesses is not the only solution to staying away from investing.

There is no need to try to understand all this before starting investment. The first step that needs to be taken is to start investing. After starting investment, a person should focus on how he can be patient etc. Because as soon as he realizes that he cannot be patient for a long time, he may refuse to invest, so it is necessary to start investing and after starting investing, it is necessary to focus on how he can be patient.

When a person has too much expectation on the market, no matter how patient he is, he cannot hold on for a long time. Because the market does not move according to his expectations, he becomes disappointed and fails to hold on for a long time. Not having any expectation from the market is the best decision.
When starting an investment, it is necessary to have at least a basic understanding of the risks and capabilities of the investment. If an investor knows in advance that there may be major fluctuations in the market, it is easier to be mentally prepared for that situation. If, after seeing a big decline in reality, he realizes that it is not possible for him to tolerate such a risk, then there may be a possibility of panic selling.

It is more important to avoid unrealistic or short-term expectations. If you have set your goals and capabilities before investing, it is relatively easier to make decisions even if the market does not move as expected. It is not only how quickly you start investing, but also how you control the risk and maintain that investment.

The price fluctuation of Bitcoin make it difficult for a person who is new to Bitcoin to hold it for long term. There are many things which we understand about Bitcoin only once we start investing in Bitcoin. We constantly here write about emergency funds, discretionary income and stuff like that but someone who is very new to Bitcoin won't understand the importance of these terms unless he start investing in Bitcoin. The best way to learn about details of Bitcoin investment is to start investing in Bitcoin.

You are both right, you really don’t need to know much before going into Bitcoin investment, you just need to know that you need to invest with your discretionary income. Then after getting that right, you can start investing and be learning about Bitcoin investment as you are investing. The thing is there are people who will delay their investment because they want to learn everything, and the end, they will end up not investing.

So learning about patience, discipline and holding for a long time are the basics to learn along side getting a discretionary income. To have a successful investment, you need to be patient and disciplined not to sell your holding at a giving opportunity. Build your emergency and reserve funds as well to protect your Bitcoin investment.

if someone is the type that makes huge amount of money every two to three days, they can decide to be accumulating in this days they do make money so it is not limited to weekly, monthly etc.
I think weekly DCA is ok than daily because of the stress attached to it and you might think that you don't need money tomorrow after buying today, something pops up and you don't have float on ground to take care of that unplanned expenses. With weekly DCA, you can properly organize your income and know how much from your discretionary income you can use to buy bitcoin at that week.

There's nothing bad if you are getting daily income, you keep them for one figure and figure out how much is your discretionary income from it. Daily DCA isn't realistic and comes with stress.
I think your DCA should be decided by when you pay for your basic needs. If your basically needs like light bills, water bills, food and so on is being sorted weekly, then your accumulation can be weekly, and if it monthly then your accumulation can be monthly as well. We are investing with our discretionary income and we can only have that after we have spend on our needs.

So it doesn’t matter if you are earning so much every 2 or 3 days, the main thing is when do you sort your bills. Our need should be our priority before anything else. So daily DCA will definitely be impossible to do, because we might end up investing  part of our needs finances.
When it comes to investing, it is important to set aside money to cover your essential expenses first. But it can be unreasonable to have a rule that says, “You can’t buy every day” or “You have to buy every week.” You know that not everyone’s income comes at the same pace. Some people earn every day, some every week, some every month. I think the real question here is not a specific schedule, but how much money can really be set aside for the long term after setting aside essential expenses, an emergency fund, debt pressure, and discretionary income. I think even a person who gets a monthly salary can divide their discretionary income into four parts at the beginning of the month and buy weekly. Again, for people who earn daily income, buying every day is not always good. Because you certainly don’t want to get into the trouble of buying small amounts repeatedly. Moreover, it can also increase the burden of fees and accounting. That is why buying weekly may be realistic for many, but it is not a mandatory rule for everyone.

@Obulis, emergency happens to roughly a large percentage of the world's population regardless of who you are and what you do...And so emergency funds isn't really peculiar to just Bitcoin investment/investors...Infact the truth about it is that emergency funds is important in our everyday lives since emergency situation is something that happens without folks having control over...To me though it is not really bad if folks decide to keep an emergency fund prior to their investments journey... However when doing so, they should ensure that such approach dosen't affect/or delay them from kickstarting their investments journey... Then again it is all about finding the right balance and then doing what you feel would actually work for you while ensuring that you are never placed in a situation where you would be left with no other option other than to deplete your Bitcoin portfolio..

Here balance point is very important, emergency funds aren’t just useful only for Bitcoin investors but they’re very important for everyone. This because unexpected expenses a come up for anyone at any time.
And also they don’t have to be a rule for everyone.

Anyone can decides to start investing with a little part of their discretionary income while building up their emergency funds same time. What really matters is not having to put in the money you will be need soon into bitcoin. So to prevent unexpected expense to force you to sell out your Bitcoin at a very wrong time.

It is true that emergency funds can be useful in our daily life, but the context is about Bitcoin investment and not about other local investment or whatever it is that a person might want to venture into outside there. However, this issue about emergency funds has been addressed earlier before now although I'm not flabbergasted to see that people are still discussing about it because I feel it is worth discussing since there are new comers here. And yeah it will be much more safer if we are investing at the same time building our emergency funds, it Will make much sense this way than giving priority to the one and then leave the other. an investor that does not have enough discretionary income to start building the both at the same time can as well prioritize building their emergency funds because if they should give priority to building their Bitcoin portfolio emergency can happen during the process and they will not have any place to dip Their hands into if not their bitcoin investment, so having know this they should give priority in building Their emergency funds. But I will advice that instead of building it one after the other they should start building the both at the same time no matter the amount they are putting in each of this wallets.

I agree with you that anyone can set up an emergency funds for anything, but if you are a Bitcoin investor and you are setting up an emergency funds that will aid your holding ability, then the main focus or duty of that funds is to help and protect your bitcoin holdings from any emergency situation that may have compel you to temper with your investment.
If you are having an external financial challenges that will not be a problem to your bitcoin investment in any way, what you should do is to look for other ways to sort it out, not by using your emergency funds meant to protect your bitcoin investment to sort out what is not kept for.

The emergency fund serves as a a shield that protects your asset, if you start building your emergency fund when you have not built your asset, doesn't it suggest that you are getting it wrong to even start with? the order of setting up your investment portfolio should be as follows, you learn the basics about bitcoin, when you have finished doing that, you proceeds to investing and after you have built your first chunk of bitcoin you can then devise a means of protecting the asset which is where the emergency fund comes in. in building your emergency fund, you don't need to rush it to much. just building it bit by bit in small fraction will with time give you a reasonable amount that protects you when such event comes up.

Anyone can decides to start investing with a little part of their discretionary income while building up their emergency funds same time. What really matters is not having to put in the money you will be need soon into bitcoin. So to prevent unexpected expense to force you to sell out your Bitcoin at a very wrong time.
If he persists or forces himself to invest in Bitcoin, this is a mistake he will have to face when family problems arise. Because if income exceeds expenses, perhaps it's better to do so after all needs have been met, and then invest the remaining funds, accumulating the available funds, to pursue his desires.

Even with small amounts, we never force ourselves to invest, which can lead to problems. This is because we prioritize desires over needs, which inevitably leads to problems. The main trigger is forcing ourselves to do things without prioritizing needs.

[edited out]
If you don't already possess patience and discipline in your life before investing in bitcoin, long-term investing won't teach you any of these traits.

Actions can guide mindset.

So a guy who figures out how to budget the amount that he puts into bitcoin so that he is not investing more than he can afford to lose, then he is expecting to invest for a long time, such as 4-10 years or more.

If a guy is investing 4-10 years or morel, then why should he give any shits if the short term price of BTC is up, down or sideways...

And, yeah frequently we are talking about investing more than 10 years, unless guys have some health or age matter that does not allow them to invest for more than 10 years.

Again, if guys are really investing 10 years or more, then you really believe that they should be getting worked up about whether the BTC price ends up being up, down or sideways in the short-term.. merely because they happen to be impatient?  Maybe if they are impatient they would not be investing into bitcoin in the first place.. they would be figuring out assets to trade.. which surely many of the longer term bitcoiners do not recommend trading and/or gambling with bitcoin... so yeah, bitcoin may well not be a good asset for the trader and/or gambler.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

The price fluctuation of Bitcoin make it difficult for a person who is new to Bitcoin to hold it for long term. There are many things which we understand about Bitcoin only once we start investing in Bitcoin. This is not actually correct because before someone will think of investing in Bitcoin he or she must have gotten the basic knowledge and also the understanding that the price of Bitcoin is always stable which means that it can fluctuate so badly but having this understanding will make a real investor stay calm and accumulate instead of panicking or selling because most of the people who panic or sell are not actually investors but traders who are looking out for short term profit

I do not entirely agree with the notion that Bitcoin investment cannot instill patience or discipline in those who lack these qualities. Of course simply buying Bitcoin won't make someone disciplined or patient overnight. However I believe that once a person invests their own money the process of monitoring the investment learning and correcting mistakes based on experience can gradually foster discipline patience and self control.

I think that sulegzy39 is right to an extent because it's not everyone that are naturally patient, and when such person invest in Bitcoin, their are chances that he would want to get quick result of his investment, unless he is humble enough to learn and improve himself on that aspect.

Another thing that affects an investor is the mindset he use before investing in Bitcoin, because if an investor is actually those type of investors that believe that they can get rich very quick with their investment, they will easily get frustrated and sell prematurely if Bitcoin is not rising fast with the speed they wanted, but if an investor knows from the very onset that patience and holding for a very long time is the only way he can stand a chance to be successful in it, he would prepare his mind that this or that is what he is signing up for, so the chances of that person being patient will be much higher than the person that just want to get rich quickly, so mindset really do matters.
An impatient person coming into bitcoin who’s willing to learn and know about bitcoin as he invests will definitely grow patient because the process of accumulating weekly or monthly and remaining consistent will help him develop the character trait.
You know the saying “Practice makes Perfect” that as much sums it up because what you practice regularly becomes part of you. If an investor understands the way bitcoin works and follows it wisely planning for the long term with the right practices, there’s a better chance of developing patience than remaining impatient.
He’ll be impatient if he doesn’t truly understand bitcoin, many impatient people wouldn’t even want to invest in bitcoin in the first place but so long as one had decided to invest and continue on it, he’ll become patient at the end.
Bitcoin investment teaches more than patience, many people become better financial managers, disciplined and motivated when they’ve started investing.

Knowing that Bitcoin is volatile is common knowledge, it’s when you start investing you will experience how it works. I don't think you should also present basic knowledge as something someone must have prior investing in Bitcoin. Beginners don’t have to be experts before knowing how to figure out their discretionary income and kickstart accumulation journey.

What reduces a person chances of force selling is his manner of investing. Once you’ve taken care of your important needs… priotize building reasonable backup funds alongside your Bitcoin accumulation. It is normal for beginner to panic during big drops, but don’t allow it to force you into making emotional decisions. That’s why you should focus building a solid plan and improving it. In most cases, those that panic and sell didn’t come in with trading mindset, but because they didn’t invest in a sustainable way and according to their financial situation.

There is nothing difficult in holding bitcoin for a long time, even for newbies. So long you remain disciplined and you make sure you build your emergency fund and reserve funds, holding for a long period of time should not be difficult. Statement like this discourage newbies from holding for a long period of time. We should encourage them instead on how to go about holding for a long period of time.

For me holding for a long time is the best way to ever in bitcoin. People who trade or intend to hold for a short period of time don’t get the full potential of bitcoin. They either sell pre maturely or sell out of panic.

I don't agree with this, and I don't see how price fluctuations makes it difficult for newbies to HODL Bitcoin for longer period. An investors inability to HODL for long is dependent on some other factors such as, 1) having a traders mindset, a trader who came in for only short gains, 2)not buying with the rights funds, and as a result, get stressed and panicked, 3)not building emergency funds and other back up funds, and probably 4) maybe placing wrong priorities on your investment decisions.

I don't think it's anything associated with  been a newbie or not, it's more on wrong decisions, because even old investors also sell there assets even in low price. Not HODLing for long term is not only for newbie investors. Anyone can sell wrongly.

This is not actually correct because before someone will think of investing in Bitcoin he or she must have gotten the basic knowledge and also the understanding that the price of Bitcoin is always stable which means that it can fluctuate so badly

I guess this is a typo error and needs to be edited Asap. Am sure your intentions was that the price of Bitcoin is always UNSTABLE and not stable as it shows to avoid giving the wrong information.

Sure. If a person is not a toddler and is in his right senses and has a common sense, he should know that fluctuations is one of the characteristics of Bitcoin, and hence, should know it is better to come into Bitcoin Investment with an investment mindset or mentality rather than relying on short time gains in trading.

Of course, Bitcoin investment is never for traders because there minds have been set for short time gains and market moves, and so, even if they have proclaimed that they want to HODL, once the price moves upwards, they are already moved to take gains and plan to re-invest, which does not give a full potential of the value of Bitcoin. If a guy claims to be inpatient to HODL, then he is far from been an investor and should stay away from Bitcoin investment and should rather be a full time gambler, because the real value of Bitcoin resides in long term investment.
