I also decided to join this competition and signed up for it today. I was nearly forgetting about the deadline though while working. 

The competition attracted me especially because of the similarities to BSFL. Of course there is a big difference like a danger to say goodbye to the competition even in the 1st round. But I will try not to.

I submitted my answers and it was much easier than I expected. Was waiting for today when I have some time to do proper research but ended up picking all 20 just on gut feeling. Now that I wrote that I know I am paying re-buy after round 1

The whole purpose of the competition is the highest possible risk - we want to see if somebody will pay 5mBTC rebuy in the last round if he's 2-3 points behind.

I hope the blockchain fees dont go crazy high for sending this transactions, but did you think what to do if this happens?
Maybe we can use different coins or tokens with lower fees, and convert to bitcoin later.
I wish that Sportsbet can add some tipping service or sending coins between accounts without fees.

Today I made predictions (the fantasy league is also a prediction) in all competitions and I must note that this competition looks the most difficult due to the randomness. The questions are chosen so that the value/probability of each point is the same (at least it seemed so to me), and I think that the Netherlands was in the third choice just for it to have value.
I think after each round, 20% of the participants will be eliminated.

We'll use BTC but will be lenient in such cases. Most of you guys can be trusted so it will be enough to send your TX-es without them having to be confirmed.

The only problematic round is 2nd round - there is less than 12 hours between the start of it and the end of Round 1. You'll have to be quick here.

It's football so it's way closer to you. It takes a minute or two to write these as well, and for some bizarre sports it can take 10x more time.

I didn't take much risk, so my hopes are on the shoulders of the bookies' favourites, and if the underdogs catch them off guard in the first round, more than the 20% you estimated will be eliminated, because I don't believe those who took minimal risks are more than 10%. We can only speculate till the deadline has gone and the tables are visible.

Yeah, national teams are pretty hard to research. There is a lot of time between the qualifying games and the tournament. And you can't rely on friendly games because they are not competitive and teams often take it easy with friendlies. I hope I won't get kicked out in the first round.

If you don't submit for General round, it will hurt you in the future. If you don't submit for Round 1 though, you're automatically out.

You can still submit later, but you'd have to pay the evil fee:

Late submission penalties

• In case of late submission, the player can still play in that round if he pays the evil fee.
  Evil fee is the same fee that would have to be paid if the player was the last one in that round, so 0,5mBTC in the group stages and 2mBTC in the quarterfinals.
• If a player that rebuys after late submission ends up with the worst round result, his submission does not count towards the ‘lowest score’ group.

Yeah, brittish press and fans can be pretty funny when they can make fun of their national team. I also don't like England because of their attitude "we invented football" and we will automatically win all games.

But for German, I wouldn't be surprised if the game ends with a draw. When you are playing at home, pressure can get to the players and they choke. Too bad I wont be watching because my wife made me go to a concert

The British media is terrible and will turn on their own players anytime things go South. This makes me a little sympathetic to the players and I actually want them to win something, especially Decs and Saka, I do not think they will win but i will like to see them do so.

Once the first goal goes in the nerves start to relax and the players gets to their groove.
Enjoy the concert man, the matches can always be  replayed, but precious moments are worth everything.
