I don't even know where I'm going to point and say; this is where the fault came from.I'm sick and tired of manchester united because they don't seem to amaze me at all.
One of the major problem Manchester united is having this season is from their defence. I mean, look at how poorly Aydeen Heaven marked Kostoulas, which led to the first goal. I think at this point, it is also fair to say Man United lacks squad depth, if not some players who started this match should be sitting at the bench in the first place. I also think Michael Carrick has been poor on his choice of substitutes this period, and as a result they always end up conceding unnecessary goals. This is not just a defensive issue for Manchester United, it’s a general problem ranging from the players commitment. Watching the game tonight I saw a team that’s not ready to fight for every loosed ball and they lost concentration easily because they thought they’re already winning because they’re ahead with 2 goals earlier in the first half forgetting that football last for 90 minutes and until the end of the 90minutes you’re not sure of winning. The inability of the club to sign more of quality and experienced players during the summer transfer window is really affecting the team especially after losing a leader like Casemiro in Midfield without getting to properly find similar replacements. The psychology and mentality of the team needs improvement and I don’t think Michael Carrick is the one to lead this team to Glory.

Brighton were almost 5/1. And they played so well in the league, United not so much. The signs were there. Old me would have jumped at the odds. I didn't. Wonder what live odds were when Brighton were 2-0 down? Why do I do this to myself? LFC_Bitcoin did the right thing. Stayed away.
The signs were there but then, it was at old trafford so everyone (including bookies) expected them to win especially after that loss to Man city on sunday. As for odds, I saw around 7+ odds when the game was at 1-0 with Man Utd leading. I didn't really check afterwards. Sorry about your bet. I have man utd on my blacklist so I wasn't bothered today. Two early goals at first from United, I guess that made them felt relaxed but it wasn't the case for Brighton who got an equalizer and then going ahead for minutes later. The match was really disappointing for every United fans, another night to lament on their defensive crisis, overall who should be blamed for this ? Michael Carrick might have put himself in a difficult position when he decided not to get more defensive prowess as addition to the team.

I understand that the Manchester United team has a defence problem and the manager never thought it wise to reinforce the defence during the transfer window which was already an error. However, my question is, does Manchester United not have a first 11? Why does Carrick keep doing trial and errors everyday even in an important game like this or was he underestimating Brighton? Leaving his key players on the bench was not a good start or was he reserving them for Fulham game? I blame the manager for this loss because he either didn't see the Carabao cup as important or he saw Brighton as a weak side and relaxed after just two goals lead. The manager may not just last long with the team if he continues causing heartbreak for the fans.

Just a day apart, young players Dowman (for Arsenal) and Lacey (for Manchester United) scored their first goals for their respective teams. I liked both goals. It looks like we’ll be hearing a lot more about these two players in the future. Arsenal beat Ipswich 4–2, but yesterday, Manchester United lost 2–3 to Brighton in a match where they had initially taken a 2–0 lead. I was shocked by United's defeat; when the score was 2–0, I had expected them to win comfortably. Two losses in their last two matches. It seems Carrick has been jinxed. I admire the English people's love for football. No matter the match, the stands are always full. Old Trafford was packed to capacity yesterday, too, though United fans left the stadium disappointed.

Micheal Carrick may not still not escape sack at least it's too early for a team like Manchester United to be knocked out so quick in the Carabao Cup.

But this is not the first time Manchester United has been sent out this early in the cup competitions. Last season it happened. This same Brighton and Grimsby last season made sure Manchester United never enjoyed their FA and Caraboa cup campaigns. We all blamed Amorim for not being good coach. Manchester United need to sell every player that was in their squad from last season. They have tried with several coaches, but it didn’t work, they should now focus on the players. They should sell all the players that has been at the club before now and start a new project. Carrick can’t be that bad all of a sudden. The Manchester United players are not fighting for that club.

Carrick failed to prepare the team for the new season. Manchester United needs new defenders, wing-backs and more strikers, but nothing was made by the people, who are above Carrick. Rashford and Zirkzee weren't sold. Nobody wants to buy completely useless players. It is clear that United's substitute players are pretty mediocre. I'm sure that Carrick won't survive until the end of the season, but the people, who are managing the club and who hired Carrick should be sacked as well.

It's not just that they are losing, it's about how they are losing. Last night they started the match on top, as far as I was concerned Brighton had all but already lost that match and then for them to have a total turn around to the point where it didn't even end in a draw but in a loss. This is an obvious recipe for disaster and fans are not happy about it, I was at a viewing centre last night and you could see the disappointment in the air when fans started leaving the place and after all their promises of being in their best this season, it's just sad.

It's so annoying to watch how these players gave up their lead and started playing like mediocre players without any direction on what to do next. The squad is filled with average players. A lot of work is needed to be done. Rashford should be sold or loan out same as those who are not meeting up to expectations. Brighton will be very happy towards their performance last night because it was an incredible come back.

Actually, the team is in a very bad situation now, they are losing even in a match like this, it is not something to accept. And at the same time, Manchester United played at home, it is very shameful for them to lose 3-2 to Brighton after leading 2-0 at home, it is a disgraceful match. And their previous match was also a disgraceful match, did you see how badly they lost to Manchester City in the Premier League? Now they have lost even worse to Brighton. Currently, Manchester United is disappointing the fans in every match, I don't know how this bad time will end, the weakness of the team's defense was very high in the last match, and because of this weakness, they lost the match 2-3 despite leading 2-0 at first.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where Carrick’s squad fell short in this match. Carrick did experiment in this game with the lineup he fielded from the start, and it seemed to work throughout the first half—especially given the time gap between Lacey’s and Mount’s goals. Everything changed when the second half began. The most plausible explanation for this loss is that this tournament wasn’t a top priority and was intended to avoid overloading Manchester United’s schedule. By no longer participating in the EFL Cup, the squad can conserve their energy for the Premier League and the Champions League.

Rashford should be sold or loan out same as those who are not meeting up to expectations. Rashford is one of United's best attacking players but sometimes it is best the coach brings him from the bench because his decision making is not the best for any team. Michael Carrick had a pattern that worked for him last season and he was confident in it, that pattern did not include Rashford, and many other new players in this current team, maybe it should be the time again for the coach to start considering going back to what worked for him before he gets sacked because this early crash out from the Carabao cup will make the owners start questioning their decision to give him the job as Coach of Manager. He needs to rebuild confidence quickly, confidence in himself, and also the confidence that the players and supporters have for him. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where Carrick’s squad fell short in this match. Carrick did experiment in this game with the lineup he fielded from the start, and it seemed to work throughout the first half—especially given the time gap between Lacey’s and Mount’s goals.
I don't think it is his experiment that failed him It is just a mentality problem within the Manchester United players because many other managers did not use their top players and even rested them for the Premier League games of the weekend and also other competitions that they have so it was a normal strategy that he used that worked but lack of ability to manage the game is what failed him.

The strategy of resting players that most managers do is wrong, you can’t talk about tomorrow when you haven’t concluded today yet, managers must learn to win their current matches before thinking of resting players for other future matches, why will Man U be resting players knowing fully well that Brighton can be problematic at times? secondly why won’t they put in more energy to win the Carabao cup and use it as compensation knowing fully well that it will difficult for them to win either the EPL or champions league? to me Man U haven’t done well to be eliminated at this stage in the Carabao Cup and Michael Carrick is actually joking with his job especially because he got eliminated by a weaker side. A lot of work still needs to be done in the Manchester United defense going forward.

Mentality—does that mean not a single player on Carrick’s squad has ever won a trophy? I don’t think that’s entirely true. Martinez has won the World Cup, and he’s often been a starter for his national team. Here’s the thing: in my opinion, when it comes to mentality, this is what Carrick needs to build with the squad he has. No one has ever actually won a single title with Manchester United. Martinez won one with his national team. There used to be Casemiro, but not with Manchester United. Rashford, who has won a title before, also isn’t ready in terms of his mentality. That has a huge impact, and I see it with my favorite team, Arsenal.

Manchester United is currently the worst club in the Premier League, leading from 2-0 and lost in the end of the game is so embarrassing, if a team lost a match the coach should be blame, but i will not blame Carrick, Manchester United owners are unserious people, they don’t know what they are doing and they are the reason why Manchester United will keep falling every season, every Premier League teams made a big signing this season and Manchester United did just make just three signings and they are all midfielders, even the midfielders are not good, the only good signing they did is Teleisman, Baleba is an injury player and Santos is a washed player that Chelsea is not using. Manchester United need a good defender, they need a good winger, Manchester United need to know how to get rid of some players, players like Rashford, Luke shaw and and Dalot are not in a position of playing for Manchester United, even Mazraoui is not good enough to play for the club, he will be playing for Morocco like prime Roberto Carlos but when he comes back to Manchester United he will start playing bad, Manchester United can not even sell a player with a good amount, it is now that the fans will know that Amorim and other coaches are not the problem of the team.

The defense was porous in that game. There was a loss of concentration, which caused the first goal. Professional players should be alert at all times, even when they assume that there was an infringement that the referee overlooked. The whistle of the match official is the only reason they should stop playing. Brighton didn't play like a weak side yesterday. They dominated in ball possession, in shots, and shots on target. Michael Carrick is now under pressure to put the team on the track to recover. After losing to a ten-man Manchester City, their fans had to boo them after the game for giving up two goals.

Resting players for more important matches isn’t bad actually and it’s an avenue to give the bench players more playing minutes to prove themselves and it has worked for many teams but Manchester United have a problem and they need to find it and fix it else they’ll have a very poor season. Brighton are not a “weak” team this season, their performance has been good so far and I suppose Carrick knows about that and he’s strategy seems to have worked in the first half but the second half was terrible and they ultimately lost and got eliminated.

Someone was daring enough to stake on Brighton to win when they losing 2-1 and he raked it big. I understand why you let such a thing pass you by cause probably you were hoping the Red Devils would bounce back but I guess with Man UTD, every other team are free to record their comebacks, eh. The most annoying thing is how Man UTD let their confidence get the better of them and at some point I started believing they had won this and are moving to the next round but football had to pull out one of it's tricks on us and do the unthinkable.

What of when in trying to rest players it cost you major defeats and knockout from major trophies that will threaten your job, would you say it is a nice strategy to rest players in such instance? It is true that certain clubs rest players for crucial matches but for Man U currently which other match is more crucial than this Carabao cup knowing fully well that it is obvious that they can’t win the Champions league or win the EPL this season, the best they can get in the EPL is struggle for top 4, except that is why they choose to rest players so they can compete for top 4 in the EPL because i don’t see any reason why they should be resting players. Judging from Man U current form it is difficult for them to win either EPL or Champions league this season so to me i didn’t see the need of them resting players.

We need to be worried for them because what is this? Not even in the Carabao could they find a way to get something. It's the worst performance I've seen from them in a long while and it's not looking like they will improve anytime soon.
Tottenham is completely nothing this season. At least they would have proven something different in the Carabao Cup, because Liverpool wasn't that good this season either. Honestly, I thought they would give Liverpool tough time yesterday, but they still couldn't make it through. What a terrible season for Tottenham. There's nothing that can stop them from being relegated if they continue with this mindset, because there's no sign of improvement at all. It will be disappointing if Tottenham failed to finish among the top four teams in the Premier League this season. I view Tottenham as a team that has the best squad in the Premier league. They signed many top players to strengthen their squad, but they look very worse than the newly promoted teams. De Zerbi saved the team from relegation last season, but it is obvious that they never learned from what happened last season. I didn’t expect Liverpool to struggle against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup. You thought Liverpool would struggle against a team that hardly had a single shot on target in the Premier League. The only goals Tottenham have scored this season is from the Carabao Cup, but the journey has also come to an end. They couldn’t make it to through the next round. It is absolutely clear that Tottenham cannot afford to get to that stage. Even though football is unpredictable, I doubt it, because they were supposed to do wonders in the Premier League this season, since they have the squad to get what they want, but they keep achieving nothing. It is absolutely not by buying plenty of players, it is about understand the game and making good use of them. These are the things some coaches need to put into consideration first, because it's deeply affect many teams.
