I guess there was really going to be a necessity to have, but it wasn't like it's a bad thing to have a mentor who is going to teach you. I don't totally agree with that. It's not that someone cannot become successful without a mentor, but having a good mentor alongside can speed up the process, because when you are doing things yourself, you will have to make mistakes, and then find and rectify your mistakes yourself, and that will take time because usually as humans, we don't notice our own mistakes as much as someone else does. So, if you have a mentor, they will be able to notice your mistakes before you do, and then they will help you correct those mistakes, and this will speed up the process.

I'm not saying that people can't do things on their own, because there are so many successful people in the world who are self-made, which means that they did everything on their own, they never had any mentors, or any kind of support, but they worked hard, and dedicated all their time and energy on that thing, and they eventually got successful. Success is all about determination and focus, and consistency. If you stay determined and focus, and work hard consistently, you will eventually become successul in that craft.

In developing the economy and running a business, mentors are all around us, for me mentors are not specific, sometimes our own friends can be mentors, of course those who have economic knowledge to direct us to a better path.

This means that we cannot live alone in this world, frequent and exchange of opinions is important for our success, and vice versa, we can also be mentors for other people, sharing with each other is the true meaning of life.

Sharing thoughts from those who are experienced in a particular field will make it easier for other people to do so, of course a good goal for financial success in the economy.

I also think so, not all successful people have a mentor, but every successful person definitely has motivation so that he can achieve success for his own reasons, while a mentor may only be owned by a few people to direct their path to success, but the most important thing is motivation, it can be a reference for what motivates us to do something until we are successful.

I'm not sure if I can consider myself a successful person, but I didn't have a mentor, and I still don't have one. I am kinda introvert, and I love to figure out things by myself. If I don't understand something, I dig into it more and more until I can grasp it. I get help from the internet. My colleagues were asking me if I understood everything when I joined my job for the first time. I think I took help from one of them only and then figured out the rest by myself. I made some mistakes and I had to hear bad words from the boss, but I have figured it out and learned things on my own.

Mentorship exist and it work for many successful people who was mentor and secondly not all successful people past through mentorship. Some successful people today who undergo no mentorship as a result of natural gift that makes them work in isolation and discovered things that changes their life career impacting human needs which leads to their successfulness in that area of discovery. I don't see every successful person as one who past through a mentor due to the power of discovery, some people as result of mentor also get some limitations as they rely so much on their mentor in certain information,  mentorship exist but not all that succeed through mentorship.

Learning from life is more effective than a personal consultant for success in life. If you want to learn something from a successful person, they will ignore you or they will not want to tell you about their success or give you the right advice. Check your own talent and financial capacity and then make a professional plan by deciding. Focus on the subject you are most skilled in and work hard, you will definitely succeed at some point.

A friend of mine was not a good student but he had the ability to write poetry. He focused on this skill and became one of the most famous poets and he is a successful teacher in a reputed educational institution. He was not a good student in his academic life but he tried to use this talent and he achieved success through hard work by applying his skills.

Everyone's path to success is different, of course. But what I've noticed in my community is that most successful people don't have the help of a mentor. They strive on their own, sometimes experiencing failure, but they always learn from their mistakes along the way.
They often discuss things with friends, just to ask for advice, and sometimes those they discuss with aren't in the same profession.
So, I can't call them a mentor. I'm not yet in a position that can be called successful, but I'm working towards it.
What I want to say is that I don't have a mentor either, just motivation and frequent discussions.

Indepth thinking from the Op, every successful man must have asked questions about to go about it. I have not seen a successful person around my area that had not asked someone how to do the business. I have seen someone asking others to write a business plan and a proposals and I believed the Op is viewing from that angle because those who asked other for the writing of the business plan might take them as mentors.

But such people are very few in our society who don't have a mentor to become successful, because some of the successful men and wealthy people I have seen proud of their mentors that impacted them to become who they are today. Even though there are people that succeed without a mentor, if you go close to  such people to hear their story you will know that they go through a lot of difficulties to achieve ideas that made them to succeed, because they learn from social media which is the easiest place people are using to learn faster to achieve their goals.

People that loyal to their mentors never miss their goals, because they ask question every single doubt that may occur on their way to success and their mentors will not ignore their questions, because they know them as humble servant or followers.

Exactly, human beings are bond to make  mistakes, because no one is 100% perfect and no one is above mistakes. But the the main problem is that, sometimes or most at times, we fail to realize or recognise our own mistakes. But when you have someone by your side who always guide you, support you, encourage you and at the same time figure and point out your mistakes, then you can easily rectify them. Having a mentor is actually not mandatory or compulsory, it is our choice to make whether to have one or not. Because it is not everyone that will have the privilege of having a mentor.

But when choosing a mentor, you must be extremely careful and research thoroughly in other to choose a good, compose, professional and qualified mentor and prevent yourself from falling a victim of fake mentors.

Being successful today goes beyond mentorship or having someone you idolize and trace their every move with the intention to be just like them or archive why they have been able to do for themselves and their families. It’s most certainly not a bad idea but, what aids you the most is the principles you build your life about.

Existence without any principles to guide your steps and actions is like someone just floating through life. Principles ensure a disciplined existence and when you’ve got this, there is no huddle ahead of you that you wouldn’t have a statement that justifies them and lets you have your way about such situation.

If you are able to form good principles, life would be much easier and progressive.

You have made a solid point but I won't totally say that having a mentor, doesn't mean one will be successful in life, for me I have a mentor who advise me when I'm wrong or confused, that doesn't mean I don't have my own personal principle that guide me, for me success only comes when one works hard and make up there mind to be successful you will definitely become successful, in all essence, not all successful people go through mentorship, i will say is just determination and mindset, they draw there plans and follow it step by step, with this success is assured.

Some people understand the need for a mentor, while others do not. In the case of success in anything, everyone generally thinks that they can do it themselves. It is better when someone learns from their own experience as well as takes advice from others and learns from the mistakes made by others. I also have the same opinion as you, I would probably agree more if I said "every successful person must have motivation", this makes more sense to me personally. And the mentor referred to here is also a mentor who intensely gives us lessons about something, and I think not all successful people have mentors.

As I said before, I see every successful person as having motivation, and everyone will have different motivations. Some are motivated by themselves, family and others and there may even be successful people because the motivation that arises is precisely because they are underestimated by others.

Everyone has somewhere to start with, I also believe that some of those who become successful don't need at all.
But when they've seen that they're growing and they're nearing to the peak of their success.
That's when they realize they need one to guide them, it's not that they don't need it but they want it so that they have a better path.
