Having a mentor means avoiding the extra risks of your journey and finding the right path to success, where you can achieve success only by working hard at your best. But when there is no mentor, there will be many paths in front of you, where there will be many wrong paths, and if you go down that wrong path, you will face losses and you will get back to your previous position and then you have to follow another path again, that is, the risk in this regard is very high. But with a mentor, the chances of you going down the wrong path are less and you can go down the right path as much as possible where you can move forward to achieve success with a high probability.

Having a good mentor is definitely whaet everyone needs to stay in the top phase. Mentor are not suppose to think for you but to guide you on your own path to GREATNESS. I do know we're humans and we make couple of mistakes but it's absolutely nothing to worry about because we have what we called the foundation phase and now we're in a tight settings that will guarantee us hardship, discipline and success at the end. There's always a start of a journey and having a mentor who has our best interest at heart.

Talking about every successful person having a mentor? I do not believe that because some people have powerful mind and they've already seen vision about themselves and today, they're successful with the kind of business they venture in with dedicated hardwork and consistency.

I think what matters is that a mentor can actually save you from avoidable mistakes like giving you advice based on his or her on past or experiences and guiding you through and not necessarily guarantee the right path. There are so many people who work hard but still waste years because they actually lack direction or learn everything through trial or follow follow and good mentor gives you the benefit of experience and can help you recognize certain traps before you fall into them and at the same time, you still have to do the work yourself because a mentor can show you the road, but you are the one who has to walk it.

Actually, you are kinda of right some mentor do save us from alot of danger that will may not see and give advice that a person can give even though you ask politely from them, so it a good idea having a mentor in someone life because them to have being their before and they just need teach you step by step and with a good mentor some people achieve well and be successful than their mentor when they abide to them in a respectful way.

Naturally, the significance of a mentor in anyone's life is that you don't get to make the same mistake that they have in the past which of course has consequences, they put you through the part of having a safe landing in what gave them difficulties,  mentors are more like having a four sight of talking to someone in to being better than they are, every good mentor will always want those under them to become better, having a mentor is really good infact I doubt if there is anyone without a mentor or has not had a mentor all their live and they are doing very well.

One of the ways to be successful is the ability to pick out helpful ideas from a person you seems to admire as a mentor,  it dosnt necessarily mean you have to stick to only one successful person for you to scale through in your career or what ever. One can't say i dont have a mentor or i did it on my own, but at some point you might have looked up to someone in the same field of business or carrer even without the person knowing that he or she is a mentor to you.

Mentorship is good, it isn't a bad thing. But people can still survive or make it in life without been mentored. Some just look up to people without even the person know that someone is looking up to them. Like me, there is Someone I admire so much, and would want to manage money they way he does and live the kind of lifestyle he lives financially. Sometimes, I could ask him questions about financial management and how to go about it. He just answers ordinarily but not knowing I admire his financial management.

So sometime, it doesn't become a well known mentorship program, but one can still watch and look at some people and follow there pattern to become more successful, sometime, even more than the Person you were admiring. We don't have to limit ourselves to our mentor, but we can actually learn to do better even without a mentor

At least everyone need someone that will serve as a guardian that will lead them on how to grow quickly and be profitable when doing businesses. Getting that business experience alone can be difficult and will take time and this has been the reason why business minded people and others that want to be successful will always see reasons for having a mentor that will shape their thinking in a way they will not have to be failing and rebalancing again when they can jump those possible mistakes and trials that can make them start all over again which cause money losses and timing consuming.

Look, if you are a person of deep knowledge, then he will not need any advice from you, because not everyone will give you good advice. Someone will do you the most harm by giving you good advice. I have been a victim of such a fraud. Someone came to give me advice and I trusted him, and I told him some of my secrets, and he used that secret to cheat me. So I do not trust any advisor, because the person who gives honest advice must be to fulfill his own interests.

I agree with what you said. Having a mentor is great and can even become a valuable asset in every way because they help us shorten the learning process by sharing real experiences they have gone through, and they can also point out mistakes that need to be avoided especially mistakes that are not obvious to beginners. 

But what we also need to understand is that having a mentor is not a guarantee of being risk-free because decisions still need to be made with personal judgment and responsibility. Moreover, not everyone who succeeds needs a mentor many of them succeed through reading or learning directly from practice. So yes a mentor speeds up the process and reduces unnecessary traps, but everyone's success still depends on diligence, adaptability and the ability to make decisions independently.

You do not need to have a mentor before you can become successful in life. There are many successful people in life that does jot have a mentor.

Some people only like after a role model and they may want to be like such people and work towards it.

But know that success is not about having a mentor or looking after someone as a role model. It is about how smart you are in achieving successes. Opportunity and exposure are also very important.

Well I like to bring up the fact that a person's determination is what matters over all other things. Mentorship or not, if the person doesn't have the will, the ideal and that resolve to get what they want, then they are highly likely to fail. This is where we get it wrong. Mentors are good if you have one but how do you know he is a good one? This is where validation from other source is so important. The internet is a big place where you can learn everything, if your mentor teaches you something, don't rely on the information alone, go on the internet and search for more information, if your mentor probably lie to you, you can check mate him and if he is right, you will get everything on the internet.

There are genuine mentors on the internet. There are couple of people on this forum I look up to with some information but that doesn't mean they are always right in everything they say. Sometimes they make mistakes including the ones they don't know.

These days I don't think there's any need of having a mentor. A few days ago OpenAI released their latest model GPT 6 Astra and to be honest that language model can be much better than a mentor if used in a good way.

Since it has reached AGI level almost and understand things at another level so anyone who looks for a mentor should better give that one a try.

Even without AI one still may not need a mentor and it's much better to learn things yourself so you can apply those in the best way possible and learn from the mistakes that you make along the way.

I think everyone really need a mentor in this life to achieve his /her goals, there're alots people out there you have struggled to be a successful person but they failed because no one is there to give them some tips on how to follow before they could be a successful person. If anyone without a mentor failed like 10 times, someone with mentor can only fail like 3 times to achieve his / her goals, every single great achievers in this life was inspired by mentors. For example Mark Zuckerberg mentor was Steve job, true job mark Zuckerberg was able to achieve what he has today with the advice he got from his mentor.

That is it, even if you have a mentor you must be under observation or do everything possible to prevent making any mistake. Success can come in different Ways, and to achieve success, you must work very hard. Your mentor is going to guide you and to ensure that unnecessary mistakes are prevented. You can choose to copy your mentor, but doesn't mean mean that you will be like them, their is a possibility of gaining or loosing, and you might even be better than your mentor in some cases.

Having the right mentor is not as easy as it might seem. Not all people are disciplined enough to be called mentors and getting the wrong mentor is an equivalent of following the wrong person to lost. It’s a duty for you to make a proper research onto the person you want to adopt as a mentor. Mentorship is very significant in every young person’s life and career, not having one mentor is also important because it makes it easier for you to learn how to compare and contrast their impact on the progress of your life in business wise and general growth.
