I don't think the results of either match were surprising. Real Madrid losing to Manchester City is perfectly natural, something that could happen every season. We can't call that a surprise. PSG drawing away from home is also a normal situation. They don't have to win every game after all, we're still in the league stage. If this had been a single-elimination match, I'm sure PSG would have played with more focus and would have won if they had to. But in an 8-game league system, a draw in Spain is not a bad result. I'm sure PSG will play much better after the round of last 16.

And then if we want to tell the whole truth, Manchester City is not a small team, they are hanging on Arsenal's ass in the Champions League without considering that Pep Guardiola is a very good and astute manager, not just any idiot.
So it's fair enough, they didn't lose to the last-placed team.

Napoli let us down completely. But you should avoid betting on the madrid vs city match. Since you are very conscious  about spending money. Both teams have equal chances of winning these matches. So it is impossible to predict which team will win. On the  other hand, the performance of PSG players was also very disappointing. PSG will not score any goals against a team like Atheltic club.

Sure Madrid are doing well is just that they some injury players that why they are struggling in the club and making xabi Alonso in a tough time and I hear that if he fails to defeat Alaves this weekend they will automatically sack him and bring new coach and madrid are not playing at home that will be a tough match for them because this season Madrid are not doing well when playing away games and this can make Madrid lose or draw the game and making Barcelona continue topping the league this season. Before the knockout stage for the Champions League am sure some of Real Madrid players will be back and making the team stronger then before and perform very nice with the new coach back don't think xabi Alonso can succeed with the three matches in the front. Madrid have lost there last game in the laliga and this time again that can probably happen again but let see if the players will perform better and help the coach achieve is goals in the club.

Unfortunately, my beloved Inter lost, even though they didn't play badly! The referee's decisions were truly unacceptable! Inter should have had a penalty for a handball that the referee didn't give, and even VAR didn't make the right call! The penalty that gave Liverpool the win, according to 99% of the other referees, wasn't a penalty... I don't know! I don't want to be controversial, but certain mistakes in certain competitions are not acceptable.

The biggest surprise in top 8 currently is Atalanta honestly. You know how terrible they are in the Serie A this season right? They are still able to do good things here. They beat Chelsea by a comeback the last time.

They are always finishing at the top and people have acknowledged them a lot because because of there numerous times they have won the Champions League, so because of there level of experience makes it difficult for any other club to be able to win just like but as it is they are no longer in that position and in fact they have put Xabi Alonso in a more complicated spot because very soon the management will sack him.

The same time there is nothing positive to also talk about in the case of real madrid because to be honest Madrid is not doing well at all and we all know that, we should not even try and sugar quote what we know is true. 7th position for real madrid is not a suitable situation, and it seems they were not just prepared for this but at the end of the day they should be able to do better probably next season. But am so certain that they will go for a new coach.

There are many matches that are beyond people's predictions, and that makes betting on the Champions League more unpredictable and risky now than ever before. There are only a few teams that I am quite confident that they can have a better chance of winning, like Bayern Munich or Arsenal, while for other teams it is still more difficult to predict whether they can win or not, even that includes Real Madrid and Barcelona, their performance is still less consistent, maybe if they show consistency playing for several matches in a row then they can be relied on for betting.

Right from last season, Arsenal have been very impressive right from last season and it seems they still carried same energy to this season, I won't be surprised if they finish in a better position than where they reached last season, if Arsenal can manage to reach the finals, maybe they could win it.

Real Madrid dropped key points in champions league and have shaky performances. These are not random slip but a signs that the team  are in inconsistently delivering against big teams which they have played. I believe they will come back strong though it will be tight for them to make it among the top 8.

Can you imagine the next matches to be played as of January 20?    It's an unbelievable planning mate. Why would you take a break like 1.5 month? It's too much you know. You could have prepared the schedule better than this.

I know there is AFCON but people will miss the CL a lot for such a long time. I hope they make it better next year. We deserve it. League phase shouldn't include long breaks. You can do it in the stages further.

It's not even debatable that the UEFA Champions League competition is the most prestigious club football and generally regarded as the second most coveted competition after the FIFA World Cup. Since I came to know about football, i haven't seen a competition that's played annually that comes close the the European Cup. It's not just entertaining but also very nervous especially when you're watching a knockout game between your favourite team and another big team. It's the dream of every professional footballers to lift the trophy at least once in their career. Despite the change in format, the competition is still as interesting as it's always been.
