PSG can surprise us this season, that was exactly how they performed last season. PSG has a tough start last season, but in the end, they won it against all odds and they can actually win it again for a second time. I can be certain if it could happen again since this season is fiercer and tougher than last but PSG is a team that shouldn't be undestimated. This time,PSG will qualify for the round of 16, then we might guess who wins it in the end.

PSG are not on the same level like they were last season, their performance dropped some meters away. Predicting on the winner right away is a tough prediction to put on the line, all the teams at the top are looking favorable, this league phase isn't were we decide who is more capable or better opportuned to win the title, round of 16 has so much to tell, at this level, the smallest team that made it, might be the team to knock out any of the big clubs that seem to be a lot favorable as the Champions League winners.

My guess for the Champions isn't on PSG, although they stand a chance to compete, but Bayern Munich and Arsenal are ahead, not because they are top of the table but they have a better team work than other clubs, Arsenal with the best defense and Bayern having a better attack, that makes them seem kind of unstoppable for the title.

And there is nothing wrong with that, you also need to be lucky in order to win. I would also add that Donnarumma incredibly helped the team because if it wasn't for him, especially in the Champions League, they would have been eliminated. And yet they chose to get rid of him.

Yes, you're right. Donnarumma had a magnificent performance and was consequently let go. I think it was a great injustice to him. He could have reached even greater heights with Paris Saint-Germain, but as far as I remember, there was a disagreement over his salary. Not paying one of the best players in the world in his position the money he wanted was, in my opinion, very illogical for Paris Saint-Germain. Because a good goalkeeper can win you a championship, and last year a good goalkeeper did.

Napoli can be said to be out of the Champions League competition because their performance is so bad compared to other teams. It seems that they are currently not really prioritizing the Champions League, so they are more focused on Serie A where their point difference with Inter Milan is not that much, and their chance of winning the league is higher and more realistic compared to just wasting so much concentration and resources on the Champions League which is actually not a realistic goal for them at this stage.
At least they can defend their Serie A trophy this season, and then chase the Champions League again next season. maybe for now they are not playing so optimally, and are only chasing a place that is still realistic for them, maybe the top 15 or top 10, the point is not in a very low position because it would be very embarrassing for them to lose in such a low ranking.

We would have expected a better performance from them in the Champions League, but Napoli have consistently failed to deliver the expected performance there. It seems we saw a similar performance from them in their previous championship win. Winning Serie A seems more important to them. Perhaps they are right, because there are many strong teams in the Champions League. Winning in Italy league seems like a more realistic goal for them.

Bayer Leverkusen is not in its best and previous form. They are progressing well, that's true, yet their extraordinary season with Xabi Alonso might not be repeated again, especially when we see how good is Bayern Munich right now.

Now that you mention it, I think it would have been better if Xabi hadn't left Leverkusen What would have happened? Would Leverkusen and Real Madrid be better off? Maybe Klopp or Zidane would be managing Real Madrid right now , and perhaps Leverkusen would be leading the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

PSG triumph on the champions league after so many years trying and spending much to get the best players wasn't about the luck. While they were not the best in the group stage they did exceptionally well as they progresses and this helped them to be the victor. Their team play was great and also having a solid squad with exceptional stars almost on every position and playing well as a team, getting a win isn't as difficult as it seems with such squad. And while they might not be consistent as before and also with injury setbacks and Donnarumma being sold, they can still be dangerous even if we might not consider them favorite just like last season.

I really want to see at least one more round b efore the end of the year from the Champions League but we have to wait until january for the last 2 ones.

For me is the best stage of the season were the teams have to do their maximum to reach the spots of qualification plus every goal counts so nobody play for less aside of how much points they have.

Who is gonna be the cinderella? Qarabag? USG? Pafos?

I also wish for us to see one more round before this year comes to an end, but since we are in the Christmas period it won't be possible because UEFA want the players that are involved in the Champions League competition to celebrate Christmas with their families. I don't know between Qarabag, USG, and Pafos who will be the next cinderella for now, but when the last two rounds of the Champions League are completed next year, we will know who will be the next cinderella.

Both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are in the safe positions, they probably will go to the next round. However, their performance seems not really convincing to compete for the UCL trophy. I think these teams to go until semi-final only, it will be a bit difficult to reach the final round if they will play against big teams in the next round.

I'm not surprised because Napoli performance is quite inconsistent during this season. It is not only in UCL, it also happens in domestic competitions. Well, I hope they still can go to the next round even if their performance isn't really good. At least, they can go to the quarter-final at least.

This herr is very true, I have had similar observations too with Napoli, they do not seem to stress much about other complications seeing that they have very slim chances, they focus more in where they find the most strength, just like in their domestic league, they only try not to fall back too bad in the champions league but their performance so far in the champions league does not seem like one which is supposed to place them as a top Contender.

The worst that can happen is if Real Madrid will not qualified for the next stage but I'm not sure if they will want to risk it now. They have done a lot to be here, remember rget were following Arsenal alphabetically for having the same point but they fell off after the few performance that didn't end well. Manchester was difficult for them but they didn't let it slide, they had goal too, since everyone knows the mistake and it's obvious they need to learn.

Napoli made me lose one match this season. I can't remember the match exactly they made me lose a bet and ever since then, I don't believe in their performance when  Osimhen left the club. They do well of today and the next day they ate doing bad and since that, I decided to give the some short term no agreement until things are back to normal. This is show this team can't handle big hints right now.

Yes there season in terms of winning the available competitions they participated in was almost perfect except that they didn’t win the club world cup which was the only thing missing to make their season a very perfect season for them. Although the Season seriously didn’t start that great for even PSG because they were struggling in the first half or say group stage of the season and only picked up this form towards the end of the season or we simply saw what they later achieved, this is exactly the reason why we can’t rule out some clubs currently struggling in the competition,

Another valid point actually pointed out is the advantage of individual brilliance which we saw won some very important games for them, I could remember the number of match awards Donnarumma was Recieving then at the knockout competitions. I am not against Chevalier but still think they would be much better with Donnarumma.

Yes, in the previous season, PSG was truly a great team, because in essence, they managed to win the Champions League and also made it to the final of the Club World Cup. So with that, it's clear that PSG's performance was very great at that time. Then speaking of the current, I think their performance is still quite good and perhaps there are not too many significant differences in the team. But I personally also quite regret about Donnarumma's departure from PSG, because basically he played a very important role in PSG as a goalkeeper.

But I also don't understand why PSG got rid of a player as good as Donnarumma. Because currently, Manchester City is the lucky one because Donnarumma is currently playing in their team. So until now, I really don't understand the PSG management team regarding Donnarumma's departure. But even so, hopefully, even though their great goalkeeper is now gone, hopefully PSG can remain a great team. And PSG is currently in third place in the Champions League standings, which I don't think is bad for them. Hopefully, they can shine again this season.

From the 4th standing position which is Man City  down to 15th which Barcelona is occupying we will see reshuffling of positions. Some will have to go down further and a few will move higher in their standing positions. Napoli has to be extra careful with their remaining matches because their hope of moving to the next round heavily depends on it. Atletico Madrid seems to have a better chance of dominating a higher position that Madrid considering the consistency rate of both teams.

And from all this shows that they are not going anywhere this season and am not even impressed or surprised because of there inconsistency they are always losing games and this is one of there worst champions league games this season and this is as a result to what we don't even know because they have players that won't struggle because they have so many talented players, and this are part of the reason why I'd people are making predictions they don't need to be to certain about some clubs because majority will only end in serious disappointment.

That is even football foe you, anything can happen no matter how good that club is they can disappoint any time they want so this are all part of the reasons why, and this is even the champions league, Napoli position is one of the worst we can not even serious at all, and the winner of this season Champions league will surprise everyone, because that is what happend last season with psg also.

Barcelona are still not convincing in the CL. Their performance against Frankfurt made me really worried. Maybe they were in control of the match but it took them too long to score.

Fortunately their remaining matches are much more comfortable. I know Copenhagen still have a serious chance for playoffs but I don't think they can be as resistant as Frankfurt at Camp Nou.

If we look back, Frankfurt actually have a history of giving Barcelona headaches. Remember the 2022 Europa League quarter finals? Barcelona went into that game thinking it would be easy, but Frankfurt pulled off that stunning 3-2 win at Camp Nou and knocked them out on aggregate. That was a massive shock, and honestly, I feel that is one of the reason why their recent game still felt tense. Even though it was just a group stage match this time. Barcelona still had to fight the whole 90 minutes to take the game to an end.

Yeah, especially against Liverpool and Aston Villa, some of his saves were so crucial that if not for him, they would have even been eliminated by Liverpool. Against Aston Villa almost the same fate meet them, Aston Villa played the game of their lives and they almost won PSG eliminated PSG after they won 3 - 2. One more goal would have forced extra time and with the energy and pace of Villa, they would have eliminated them.

Teams like Napoli aren't bad at competing in Europe, but their lack of experience, especially the sheer number of competitions they're competing in, is a bit of a worry for them, putting them at risk of not winning a single title this year. Even in Serie A, they're still fighting to retain their title and are currently in the title race with other teams at the top of the Serie A standings.

Moreover in the UCL event they almost every year find it difficult to qualify for the next round considering that other teams are better prepared in all aspects both in terms of mentality, experience, or so on, and this is different from what Napoli experienced, they only took part in the competition as if without any goal in terms of participating in the UCL event every year, so what you mentioned earlier is true, the mentality and experience that the Napoli team has is completely absent from them.

The Italian side has never won the UEFA Champions League, and I am not sure that they have made it to the semi-final. They have only won the UEFA Cup in 1988/89. They still have the chance of playing in the playoffs if they can improve their performance. Antonio Conte complained that Napoli lost against Benfica because of fatigue. I have excuses.
