Actually, Juventus received a red card not only in this match but also in the previous one, playing with a man down in both games, which put them at a huge disadvantage. They weren't doing very well in the Italian league, but they played magnificently in the Champions League yesterday. In my opinion, they deserved to advance, but their heavy defeat in the first round prevented it. Despite playing more, Galatasaray couldn't gain the upper hand against Juventus, and the match went to extra time. In extra time, the tired Juventus defense conceded two goals, and they were eliminated. Nevertheless, the fans were extremely pleased with the team because it was a magnificent evening.
There is a heated debate about the red card Lloyd Kelly received last night, and in my opinion, it should not have been a straight red card. After all, Kelly was jumping and in that situation it was difficult to control his legs, I think it was unintentional. But I still respect Juventus efforts, they did their best last night, even though they ultimately had to accept elimination.

At least Atalanta was the only Italian club to qualify, their comeback was incredible. I watched their match and was pleased with the coach's efforts to prevent Dortmund players from gaining too much space.
I also appreciated Juventus efforts, even though they were eliminated, they fought until the end with 10 men. There was some controversy regarding a foul in the penalty area, as I didn't see it as a foul.
If you're referring to the foul that led to the penalty against Galatasaray, I believe a red card should have been shown there, or at the very least a yellow. It was a direct stud-first challenge with a straight leg. Not to mention the sending-off of the Juventus player, Kelly. He played the ball, not the opponent; the opponent, for his part, was late to the ball and got injured. Kelly simply landed and accidentally stepped on the foot; he wasn't even looking where he was landing. How the referee saw a red card offense in this episode is completely beyond me. Yes. I think Kelly red card was undeserved. The referee should have been able to distinguish between natural movements, especially when floating in the air, which is not a foul. But the referee's decision cannot be challenged because he was the one in charge of the match. In my opinion, Juventus was just unlucky in this match. I'm sure that if it were 11 vs 11, Juventus could have made a real comeback, but even though they played with 10 men, Juve managed to score two goals. In the second half, the players' mentality was insane, even though they were outnumbered, their pressing overwhelmed Galatasaray. But unfortunately, they lost in extra time. Juventus should be proud of their struggle because they put on an extraordinary performance. Despite the loss, they fought until the end, especially since they played very spartan and were able to lead 3-0 with 10 men. Respect to Juventus. Hopefully, Atalanta can go far representing Italy in the UCL.

Both Juventus and Galatasaray played brilliantly in the match, both teams giving their all to win. Unfortunately, Juventus received a red card in the 48th minute. Otherwise, they might have been able to withstand Galatasaray's onslaught and concede in stoppage time. Juventus' defense weakened noticeably in stoppage time, and Osimhen capitalized on this opportunity to score, followed by Yilmaz. This may have been a devastating defeat for Juventus, as they were eliminated so early, but they gave their all and need to learn from this defeat if they are to remain in the Champions League next season.

Galatasaray played very poorly and made many wrong choices. Despite this, it's certainly surprising that Juventus didn't advance. They had a big problem because of the high number of goals scored in the first leg. Closing a 3-goal gap is always difficult, and Galatasaray advanced to the next round partly thanks to luck. Atalanta has now become the most valuable team in Italy. While all the other teams have been eliminated, they continue to fight. I have great respect for them

Nothing to do Real Madrid still played a good game, first equalising two minutes after receiving the first goal and finally finishing the game in the second half. They had a much more attacking game sending them under pressure, although in reality they had exactly 4 shots on target from both sides, for a total of 12 shots for Real Madrid and 8 for Benfica. I liked the game overall.
Vinicus was the best player of the game,he stepped in when no one expected and saved real madrid from a 1-1 draw against benfica. Even in the first leg vinicus jr was the same player whose goal helped real madrid defeat benfica at the estadio da Luz. Vinicus jr is a great player and blessing to real madrid against benfica because if he hadn't been for those goals he scored real Madrid woldn't had beaten benfica twice. I definitely agree with you about Vinicus being the most important player in Real Madrid, take a look at his performance is so incredible both in first leg and also the second leg, he did what you could to save Real Madrid. At least now benfica way say that it's opportunity they got in the first time to even reach this level. Now benfica's attention will be at their home League so that they will continue with their good work they are doing there. They are still running unbeaten and I think their match against Real Madrid have caused them a lot because that is what I've seen in their performance. Actually Vinicius has made Madrid pass the toughest UCL test because we noticed that Madrid was nervous against Benfica in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League. You may have noticed that the visiting team Benfica attacked first then it seemed that Jose Mourinho had given his team the right advice because this team played very aggressively in the second leg of the UCL playoffs at home in Madrid, after they scored a goal and went ahead, there was a possibility that this team might reach the Round of 16. Anyway, it seems to me Vinicius Junior then turned the match around for Madrid as the player scored the winning goal in the eightieth minute, which allowed Spanish giants Madrid to reach the round of 16 in the 2025/26 season. Well after the 1st let playoff, most especially the 1:0 goal scored by Vini Junior, I knew very well Madrid will be victorious over the Benfican's in the second leg...No doubt the second leg was very fierce as the Benfican's fought Madrid with all their strength and even scored the first goal, though which was equalized at exactly 2 minutes, if not less by Tchouaméni. After Madrid equalized, the Benfican's still didn't give up, they kept fighting for a win, but then all of their effort was frustrated and undone by keeping prowess of Courtois.. And subsequently, Madrid scored their second goal by Brazilian- Vini Junior and Madrid emerged victorious with a 3:1 victory on aggregate..

I think this game between Madrid vs Benfica was the first time I saw Madrid playing under pressure and was focused in the champions league game and even went on to win the game. I wasn't expecting all I saw in the game but my question is what happened to Mbappe that made him stay off the game? I never saw him limping off the pitch in their last game or never did I hear of him having any form of injury or I might have missed out on something. Mbappe wasn't in the game and it went perfectly fine, the visitors was impressive but for me to say they didn't give Madrid some trouble I'd be lying because Madrid defense wasn't stable as of the first 25 mins but after then it was Madrid all the way...if there's one person they miss in that game it should be Bellingham, the amount of injury he faces these days need to be taken care of to help the team.
Could it be that this was the first time you're watching Real Madrid play for you to sawh that was the first time you're seeing them play under pressure. Besides Real Madrid were not under pressure playing against Benfica in both legs, they controlled the game. As for Mbappe, he wasn't part of the team that faced Benfica at home because he has a knee injury and will be out for 2 - 3 weeks, it's not necessarily that a player will get injured in a match, some players get injuries during training, some after a match is over, they could just develop injuries and some get injured even during warm up to a match, one can't actually ascertain when a player will get injured.

Their biggest challenge is their defense, their defense is very poor and that could be the only reason they could throw away a three goal advantage and struggle to make it through. What is just surprising is that this same defense did not concede any goal in the first leg. Galatasaray will have to work on their defense if they have the plans to make more progress in the Champions League because if they do not, whatever effort their attacker championed by Osimhen put, a poor defense will ensure it doesn't count.

But Juventus played really well in the home match. It was admirable how hard juventus fought, especially with 10 players. They were still leading 3-0 at the end of 90 minutes. But they could not play well in extra time. They conceded two goals in extra time. But the match was very exciting.

I agree about the uncontrollable position of the player in the air but intentions are what we can not decide from what a player intends to do. For this the referees are some time strict with the rules.

The match in the second leg was different, Juventus were far superior to Galatasaray but unfortunately Galatasaray could still provide a very strong resistance to Juventus so that the score could be chased and make the aggregate even more difficult for Juventus to catch up because in the first leg they had a lot of debt so it was not very easy. Osimhen in the first leg did not score at all, and in this second leg they managed to get what they needed to do, 1 goal for Osimhen and 1 goal for Yilmaz in the first half of time that destroyed Juventus.

Galatasaray have perform very well in the first leg but in the second leg they doesn't perform better and if not for the last hope they should have not qualified for the next round. Juventus really do well is just that they don't have the opportunity to score more goals an get the chance to eliminate Galatasaray. Let watch for the draw tomorrow and see who will meet each other and challenge there self in the round of 16th. I know that madrid will surly face Manchester City in the round of 16th because they always face each other anytime in the season, I don't know why that things always happen in the ucl every season, but let watch if madrid will face sporting or Manchester City tis round. Guadiola will prefer to face other club then meeting madrid this time around, because madrid always get the opportunity to defeat Manchester City.

That’s what happens when a team got reduced to 10 men early.. For the fact that they had two more goals after the red card showed how well they performed. The only problem was that the main players already played with all their strength so there won’t be extra time. The game extending to the extras left them venerable with weak players. Galatasary performance wasn’t that bad though but I doubt they are that competitive for R16

Mbappe is a goal machine and he will continue scoring more goals in the Champions League, last game against Benfica he didn't get the opportunity to score and the second leg will be this week and that will be another opportunity to for Mbappe to scored more goals in the Champions League.
I think Mbappe's objective now will be to help Real Madrid advance to the next round. It's tough, they have to win, but honestly, I don't think Real Madrid is at its best right now They let Osasuna beat them, they really played without any enthusiasm I don't know what's wrong with the team, it pains me, but I think Benfica is better. I just hope Real Madrid manages to stand out and recover.

But still praise can't be subtracted from the Italian team, although I would always say they are the cause of there disappointment, it's always exciting and respectful to play with that level of determination.

Bad game it was for Juventus and more bad that Italian big clubs will not be playing in the next round of the Uefa champions league and I can not remember the last time this occured in the history of the league for the Italian clubs.

It was not really a bad game for Juventus because they showed class. Scoring three goals with one man out is extraordinary. They ensured that they defended well and took advantage of any available space to score. I thought the red card was harsh, taking a close and slow look showed that it might be an intentional action. Atalanta is the only Italian club that made it to the round of 16. They were able to defeat Borussia Dortmund to get a ticket for the next round.

Galatasaray took advantage of the game and got to prevail against Juventus in the champions league. I know that Juventus tried their best in this game but it was not good enough for them to make it to the next round of the competition. No one expected that Juventus will be eliminated this early from the competition because they look like a higher team to get to advance ahead of Galatasaray but as football has it, it has to end this way and they will have to try their luck another time. One fascinating thing about the champions league competition is that it is unpredictable and no team should be looked down on as the underdog, or they’ll be the one to give the surprises in the game as to what we just saw in this game, most especially the game of Inter Milan against Bodo/Glimt. The competition will get more fierce from this point, and I expect that all teams that have made it to the round of 16 will show their best form and strength as to how they can come out and excel ahead of their counterparts in the competition.

I totally agree with you and not just the Bodoe Glimt v Inter Milan saga, we saw the rise of Atalanta against that 2 goals disadvantage, they were the underdogs and they managed to tumble Dortmund and even Monaco, even though they didn’t get the win they still managed to draw against PSG whilst playing with 10 men. The round of 32 is done and we will see what this miracle small teams can do against other big giants.

As an Italian, I can only say that these round of 16 matches have been very sad for Italian Inter and Juventus fans. I never would have expected Inter to suffer such a heavy defeat against an opponent that, on paper, is not even worth a quarter of Inter's economic value! Juventus had a tougher opponent to face, but in the second leg they put on a spectacular show and gave their fans hope, which was then dashed in extra time. Atalanta is the only team that surprised us! Given their performance in the league, no one would have imagined that they would be able to overturn the result of the first leg.

Atalanta turned things around in this second leg against Dortmund who previously led 002 in the first leg, now in the first half Dortmund lost in the away game with 0-2, Dortmund is under threat, this is very difficult because the away game makes them less powerful now, and maybe Palladino the Atalanta coach has understood the strategy of Dortmund players in the first leg before which now they can anticipate well and actually make them much more superior quickly, the second half will be decisive for both teams, those who can score an early goal in the second half will be very good because they can immediately focus on defensive strategies to maintain the position in tonight's match.
It is really a tough game and I didn't imagine Atlanta scoring two goals in the first half after what Dortmund did to them last match but it is clear that home advantage sometimes should not be neglected because Atlanta is utilizing it, few minutes ago was a 3:1 score in favor of Atlanta I don't know what's the result now and this 3:1 result means they are on 3:3 aggregate and any side that score and maintains it will qualify on this stage and I'm having the thought that Atlanta will qualify, just my instinct. Yes, Atalanta finally qualified, becoming the only Serie A team to reach the round of 16. This was a major achievement, as their teammates, including Inter Milan, lost, which was very disappointing. Home games always have many positives for the home team. This is a huge advantage if they can capitalize on it, and their opponents, unaccustomed to such matches, will make it much easier to win. Add to that the weather. Dortmund failed to make it, and Atalanta forced him to return home. He had high hopes of qualifying, as in previous seasons, but not this season.

I was expecting a comfortable win by Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu. But they showed weaknesses against Benfica. Maybe they advance to last 16 anyway but I can't say they impressed with their game.
We don't have a strong Real Madrid in the Champions League now. Especially while the team is in hands of an inexperienced manager like Arbeloa their job is even more difficult.
If they face Manchester City next time I think they can get eliminated by them. Guardiola has built a different team than the usual also maybe but he is still one of the best managers in the world now.
