It was not just City and Chelsea. It was all 6 Premier League clubs. Every single one. Arsenal drew. Newcastle drew. Liverpool lost. Tottenham got hammered. Six out of six lost their first leg.

English football hit a wall against the continent and nobody is keen to say that.

City's season actually makes total sense when you see it that way. Brilliant first half of games, really one of the best teams going. Then the second half comes and something runs out. Goes flat. And that is the absolute worst thing to be against a Madrid side that specifically will wait, wait and wait and then punish you when you're desperate.

Bellingham 90+2' last season. Rodrygo twice (in literally about a minute and half) season before. They just do this.

Liverpool did comeback and successfully do so in 2019 without Salah AND Firmino, both were injured, but still won four-nil. So it can happen. The difference is Wijnaldum came off the bench and scored twice in maybe two minutes and the whole place went insane. City need that guy. That one moment.

Chelsea I've psychologically moved on from. The ball boy incident was all I needed to know of where that squad's head is.

yes i must say that the level of the premier league is definitely not at the current level, the players who are currently there have been studied properly by those from other countries and have organized themselves accordingly, there is no reason why they should try to put a spanner in the works, they are already ruining everything on their own.

It is not like they studied the premier league team this season it is just how the season want to be and I will also say some of those premier league team are not really in a good form this season especially Chelsea,  Tottenham and Liverpool. The same thing applies to Manchester City, who underestimated Real Madrid in the first leg. Now in the second leg, don't assume a comeback will be easy when trailing 3-0. I know anything can happen in football, but Real Madrid anticipation seems much more cautious. Mbappe and Bellingham have returned to training, which will give them added strength for the second leg.

Regardless of how strong or weak Real Madrid generally are in La Liga, they are always one of the most dangerous teams in the Champions League and always will be. They always have the psychological edge and now that they’re 3–0 up, I don’t really see any chance of City progressing.

It is not like they studied the premier league team this season it is just how the season want to be and I will also say some of those premier league team are not really in a good form this season especially Chelsea,  Tottenham and Liverpool. A good number of the premier league teams are not quite stable this season, except for Arsenal, most of the others have been unstable with their patterns and performances, it is now that the season is about to round up that some of them are trying to maintain their spots, maybe they could secure a spot in other European competitions next season, but overall, they have not been their best. Even Liverpool, I do not trust them to do better moving forward.

Yeah as you told Bayern Munich currently has three first team goalkeepers and one backup out with injuries. they have two more young goalkeepers in the UEFA squad but one is with the U19s and the other appears to be with Bayern II in the Bavarian Regional League. I don't know much about the Regional League or how that system works but it looks like a fourth. tier division.
If they didn't have the 6-1 advantage against Atalanta, i would say their job would be much harder but who knows what will happen. Even if they get past this match, the future is uncertain. and as for the Bundesliga, I have a feeling the other teams won't show them any mercy...

It can be said that they have advanced to the next round; they just need to play slowly and slow down the game to win peacefully without taking too many risks.

Bodo/Glimt seems pass this round without getting struggle against Sporting CP. The upcoming game is an away game for them, but their solid performance in the first half makes me think they will beat Sporting again.
The composure, team work, transition, passing accuracy, and execution. They're good in almost all of aspect. They're also most underrated team in the UCL so far. So i won't be surprised they will beat Spoting with narrow score in this away game.

So i bet on them. It's a huge risk big reward by getting @4.80 odds, which is very worthy to take.

Im not so much excited about this comeback round for Champions League, a few of the keys are already decided, Atalanta 0 chance to do something already out, Chelsea is out, Galatasaray is not gonna hold on Liverpool, Manchester City needs a miracle but right now im not seeing this.

As for me, i think Tottenham is the team that already knockout from UCL. A home game won't help them consider how abysmal their performance.

Manchester City chances of staging a comeback are slim if not impossible given their opponent is Real Madrid. This isn't to underestimate City, but with a three-goal deficit a comeback is unlikely. City will certainly try hard in this match. Victory is possible but overtaking the aggregate will be difficult.

Real Madrid is no pushover in the Champions League a team with an extraordinary mentality when playing in the Champions League, especially in the knockout stages. I doubt Manchester City can pull off a comeback because their form is drastically different from the past two seasons. Their current form is very unstable and they recently lost hope of competing with Arsenal in the Premier League after being held to a draw by West Ham. Likewise, Chelsea will struggle to pull off a comeback against PSG. If the deficit were only one goal a comeback is possible but the problem is that both Manchester City and Chelsea are currently 3 goal deficits. This would certainly require a miracle as their opponents are strong teams.

Agreed.. i don't see them struggling against Atalanta. They’ve become such a dominant force recently. They’re clearly Germany's strongest asset in European competitions. Their domestic dominance doesn't bother me one bit i’m sure they’ll carry that success into the CL.

I really don't think there is a way back for Manchester City in the second leg, because they are down by 3 goals already. I totally agree with you that you don't underestimate any team, which I believe Real Madrid is also aware of that and they will be prepared for the challenge. Manchester City has not been their best since last season, so I don't see them coming back from this one. I also believe that in the game of football, anything can happen, but the chances of Manchester City coming back into this game is very slim, and why I doubt their ability to come back in this game is that their form presently he's very very bad, so they might even lose at the etihad stadium again, if they continue with this poor form they are currently in.
We have always known Real Madrid as the biggest team in Europe, and in the UEFA champions League, they do not joke at all, so it's a very big mountain for this Manchester City side to climb no matter where they are playing this return leg. I believe that if Manchester City later  win this game at the etihad stadium, but they are till going to crash out on aggregate scoreline, because they wouldn't be able to cancel the three goals scored by real madrid at the Santiago bernabéu.

I feel a bit suspicious about those odds. They do look very tempting, but the problem is that even if Sporting wins the match by a narrow margin while Bodø/Glimt is still ahead on aggregate, they could still qualify.

I also just checked the odds for Draw No Bet (Bodø/Glimt) and it’s odds at more than @3. But the Bodø/Glimt (To Qualify) option only has odds around @1.17. That makes me even more convinced that there might be a surprise in this match, and I’m guessing that Sporting could win.

We know that by all indications at this time, it does loioks like Manchester city has got no place or chance, but then even Real Madrid know that they still need not relax and that is why news has it that they will be playing with their full squad against City, meanwhile Pep is resting his boys for this fixture, so both sides are making adequate preparations, so let us see what they have and not conclude just yet.

I think the Real Madrid team spirit has found it's way back to Madrid. Real Madrid won their last 2 games by scoring more than two goals, this hasn't happened often in their past games. Manchester city recent form hasn't been encouraging. If city are looking to continue in the Champions League this season, they should not let any chance slip past them tomorrow, they would have to play like never before, because Madrid would not give them breathing space in tomorrow's game.

It's never going to be easy for both Manchester City and Chelsea to make a comeback and anyone who thinks they'll easily win and qualify is dreaming cause there's no way their opponents won't score or try to defend them from scoring. Manchester City’s case was shocking cause they faced a weaker Real Madrid but couldn't take advantage of it, how would they now succeed when Mbappé and Bellingham would be back in the squad.
 Chelsea's problem is getting worst cause their coach just confirmed that Recee James suffered a hamstring and would miss playing the second leg. James is one of Chelsea's important player, it's sad that he won't be available to try help them even though we know how difficult it would be to qualify.

I also do not underestimate Manchester City but the situation is difficult for Manchester City and Chelsea for the second leg, because they must be 3 goals ahead of the goals scored by their opponents.
If it was two goals it would be possible to catch up and make a comeback but three is difficult.

PSG has proven it last season and is now very much ahead of Chelsea whose performance is unstable, both Real Madrid although they are still experimenting with their strategies but are still able to win matches well, while Manchester City is in a state of uncertainty, they lack great players like previous seasons.

All the away teams in tomorrows match won their first leg game with the same scoreline 3-0, which in my opinion the away teams are considered to be the favorites to qualify to the quarter finals tomorrow. I know most people still believe the home teams tomorrow will still catch up with comeback but honestly that will very very difficult. When we look at Bodø/Glimt this season they are not a soft team because they had beat top team like Manchester City, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, so I don't think Sporting will meet up with these goals.

I'm anticipating Real Madrid to defeat Manchester City at Etihad stadium again due to Manchester City recent poor performances and I believe even if it's just one goal lead Real Madrid have they will defend it strongly not to talk of three goals, but let see what will happen tomorrow. Chelsea will put up a strong challenge against PSG, but I don't think they will qualify to the quarter finals, they made a big mistake for conceding too many goals.

Liverpool didn't look like "good team that played bad" in that first game, the group stage game was like that, but on this game they looked like the worse team.

People did say the same thing about Bodo on the first game against Inter, and said that on the second game Inter will do much better and we have seen how that turned out.

Liverpool is not looking good at all, looks like a team that is doing badly and if Galatasaray plays as well as they normally do on this game, then we could see them have a lot better results for sure.
