This is unexpected result for the first half of the game between Barcelona against Newcastle United like it's really unbelievable i didn't expect Newcastle United could hold Barcelona to draw till the end of the first half hmm i am beginning to like this game who knows Newcastle United might shock everyone tonight by winning Barcelona and it's gonna be a blast.

Another game i'm expecting will shock people is the Liverpool vs Galatassaray despite the odd being given to Galatassaray i am thinking they might win Liverpool in tonight game.

Just in this second half, has Barcelona added 4 goals to the 3 goals they scored in the first half. That means no hope for Newcastle for advancing to the next stage of the Champions League, as they are going to join Chelsea and Manchester City as the English league teams being kicked out. Liverpool might join the rest English teams that have been kicked out already. Who knows?

I expected Barca to win but 7 goals were really extra. Newcastle United were completely blown away. The first half was actually quite balanced, but they fell apart in the second half. Playing at Camp Nou isn't easy for any team. When Barca play with their ideal lineup they are very hard to stop. When Raphinha, Yamal and Lewandowski are all on the pitch together, it gives off MSN vibes. This team is really enjoyable to watch. Let's see how far they can go.

Because the first 25-30 minutes of first half were really balanced with a slight advantage towards Barcelona but as soon as we crossed that 35th minutes , it was just one team that played football and the other waited for Barcelona to make huge mistakes  ...which didn't happen  .

Also , we were 1 goal away from Barcelona to take revenge for that 8-2 for Bayern...but I guess we will have to wait a lot more years until Barcelona will manage to score 8 goals in UCL play-offs.

Their strength is when they are at home because the place is cold enough to make even big clubs difficult to adapt so they can excel very well because they manage to take advantage of the weather conditions at their home but when they are away it looks like they are exhausted especially indeed Sporting in this match is too ambitious to make a comeback.

For this knock out phase I'm worried about the clubs from the EPL. They did 2 legs and the final results were really bad for them, City lost 1-5 on aggregate to Madrid, Chelsea lost 2-8 on aggregate to PSG and today Newcastle lost 3-8 on aggregate to Barcelona and for the matches that are over only Arsenal has now made it to the quarterfinals. This knock out phase is like a massacre for EPL clubs.

We can say of course that EPL is dead in this season UCL, the performances are really not encouraging and they've failed to be consistent at all, Newcastle came into this match energetic and full of hopes to contend properly with Barcelona, but their inconsistency started and they were disgraced with a whooping 7-2 scoreline, same with Chelsea, the arguable world championship who couldn't even score and goal and home. It's cool that Newcastle got to this level, but it's just by grace. I never saw the club beyond this level, this is UCL, so I'm not surprised at all. Exactly, the first half was almost a 50/50 game because Barcelona was pressuring and Newcastle united was also pressuring but I was so shocked to see 4 goals from Barcelona in the second half without Newcastle united scoring a single one. The way the first half ended I will not doubt if someone would have told me that Barcelona won't be able to defeat Newcastle united because Barcelona was finding it difficult to break Newcastle united defense but the second half was entirely a different game and it is actually emberassing.

They had a fantastic first half generally, and I expected them to fight for a draw till the end of the game, or maybe a lucky winner from Barca. But a scoreline like this is really unexpected. It seems the English teams are just wooing around this season in the Champions League.

The first half of the Barcelona vs. Newcastle match was tied 2-2 until Yamal’s penalty goal; it was a very evenly matched and highly entertaining game to watch, so I and many others watching assumed that Newcastle would force Barcelona into extra time.

After halftime, everything fell apart, and Newcastle no longer looked like a team capable of putting up a fight after Fermin Lopez forced Ramsdale to pick the ball out of his net thanks to a beautiful assist from Raphinha.

Newcastle lost their momentum in the second half even though looking at the first half and the 2 goals they had scored it was very good but Flick's strategy in the second half made them have to confuse their defense which made this match unbalanced.

I had high hopes for Newcastle in this match but it seemed like at the start of the second half their fate was already decided and the pressure of playing away made them even more mentally down.
Barcelona have set their foot in the quarter finals and the likely opponent they will face is Atletico later although Atletico have just played but looking at the aggregate owned and the condition of Tottenham who are not too good it looks like they will face Barcelona in the quarter finals later.
If this is true then the quarter finals will see another 2/3 big matches where Madrid will definitely face Bayern and Barcelona will face Atletico. Another one that I am waiting for is Liverpool to face PSG but Liverpool must make a comeback in today's match.

Galatasaray really doesn't have history in their favour in this their encounter with Liverpool in England. They have had 12 meetings in England Vs English teams and has only managed to win once which was that win against Manchester United in 2023, that was the only time they have won against English opposition in England, if they are to make it 2 wins here England then they have to overcome Liverpool here at Anfield. So far non of them has opened the scoring as aggregate is still at 1 - 0, there enough time at the moment for anything to happen from either team. Liverpool will be hoping to at least equalise before looking for another goal while Galatasaray will be looking for a way to score another goal to meal it more difficult for Liverpool.

I'm always wondering what Hansi Flick use to tell his players in the dressing room at half-time. Because Barcelona we know always start the game slow in the first half and come back second half and show working. Barcelona thrashed and humble Newcastle United at Camp Nou tonight. This is the epic performance everyone wanted to watch in the first leg but Barcelona wouldn't mount pressure because they were away.

Newcastle United are out and Barcelona have qualify for the quarter finals. This is evidence to tell you that Barcelona are very much in the uefea champions League this season and none of these opposites sides can stop them not when Hansi Flick have backup options for his team.

But the simple fact that they had Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City at that stage, while La Liga only had Barcelona, ​​Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid, shows that the Premier League is a good league. Arsenal defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2–0 at home and advanced to the quarter final. The first leg had ended 1–1, but Arsenal secured the win in this match.

Congratulations to Arsenal for thier well done work and great performances on achieving this victory, Leverkusen were also tried in this match but the match wasn't turnout on thier favour. For the Real Madrid and Manchester City, it was a clear and clean victory for Real Madrid while Manchester City were eliminated, and for the Sporting CP and Bodo Glimt, it was actually a suprised game and unexpected comeback or equalise from Sporting CP in this match against Bodo Glimt, everyone was hoping on Bodo to defeat them again as they did at first leg, and it doesn't workout for them. Well played Sporting CP.

In today's matches,  it was only Chelsea match that annoyed me with thier very poor performances, I was actually expecting the Sporting  CP performances from Chelsea,  hadn't been Chelsea work hardly as the Sporting did against Bodo Glimt, they would have defeated Paris Saint-Germain, but it was hard for them to perform accurately and moreover Chelsea’s losses thier strategies in the match and look confused till the match ends.

The performance of  Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team was very bad against Arsenal football team because they did no effort in the last match which they played against Arsenal football team and they lose this match at the end easily.  The shots of that team were very low in this match which were only 10 in this match And 2 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was 59 percent in this match which was good but players collaboration was not good and they could not perform well in this match.  The shots of Arsenal football team were more in number and these were 20 in this match and 13 shots were on target and possession percentage of that team was weak in this match but they are the winner because their performance was good.

What happened to Newcastle United can happen to any team with average players, you don't expect them to have the same fighting spirit with Barcelona when you can count the number of star players in the Barcelona team without mentioning a star player in the team of Newcastle United. First half you saw how Newcastle United was busy replying to the goals of Barcelona but in the second half Barcelona changed the game and Newcastle couldn't handle the level of pressure they came out with that's why you saw Barcelona scoring goals like they were playing with a second division team. Barcelona is bigger and better than Newcastle that alone should help them win them comfortably.

7 goals from Barcelona was unacceptable and unbelievable it was a humiliating scoreline Barcelona should have at least have some little respect for Newcastle United, they played a balance football in the first half the goals was coming from both teams but with a goal different. It seems Camp Nou was too big for Newcastle United they couldn't have control over the game the humiliation was much 4 goals in the second half doesn't it mean that Newcastle United was sleeping in the second half, Barcelona has some good players lets see how far they can go because we have more stronger teams now in quarter final.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle have crashed out in the Round of 16 - while Liverpool and Tottenham are still fighting. I do not want to see Liverpool fail to reach the quarter-finals - in fact, I can find no reason why they should give up after what they did in the first half. A beautiful goal from Dominik Szoboszlai lifted our spirits - yet as the first half drew to a close, we were still struggling to double our lead. I thought one extra goal would help the team control the game better - but I have to admit, that is something difficult.

Galatasaray's defense is solid and strong - difficult to breach but if the players remain calmer and do not rush, the goals will come. This is a high tension match - there can be no errors in the back line and the players must be able to provide balance across all lines.
