‎i expected Lots of intensity in this game and Barca delivered it in fine style. The game looked balanced at first, until then Barca figured out a way, switched it up and the goals started pouring in. ‎That is one of the most explosive match of this champions league season. An absolute thriller for their home fans.

‎I couldn't even recognize Newcastle in the second half of the game; They lost total control on how to restructure their formation. ‎Once the Fourth goal went in, the game was over for me. The rest was just total damage to their esteem. How do you challenge Barcelona to a draw in Camp Nou? How?!

The top teams have advanced to the next round. Barcelona and Bayern have the potential to go all the way to the final. Liverpool and Atletico Madrid outperformed their opponents and advanced to the quarter finals. It will be difficult for them to reach the final though.

Today's round didn't disappoint. We didn't see any surprises in terms of who goes through to the next round, but we surely saw some unexpected results. The average points per game tonight was 5.75, which could be some sort of record.
Tottenham fought a good fight and they got a win, but they still fell short 2 goals on aggregate. I expected Barcelona Vs Newcastle to be a close game, but Newcastle got run over 7-2. Barcelona knows how to use the home advantage.

Real Vs Bayern is probably the most interesting pair. Whoever wins it could be the favourite.

The results of the games seemed to please everyone, this really could be a record, I don’t remember such results in one round.
The quarterfinal pairings are good, except for the last one. Arsenal, as I wrote immediately after the draw, literally got a free ticket to the semifinals. Atletico Madrid - Barcelona is also a good pairing, especially after these clubs beat each other this season in the Spanish Cup, but I think that Atletico Madrid will not be able to repeat their success, they usually lose easily to Barcelona.
PSG is the clear favorite in the first pairing. Bayern Munich is in the remaining pairing, but Real Madrid seems in good form, so I hope it won't be a one-sided game.

A Liverpool side this poor tore Galatasaray to shreds at home. Now I'm expecting PSG to do the same to them. It's impossible to understand how Okan Buruk is still in charge of the team. He has such expensive players at his disposal, yet he's managing the team in a very amateur way. The only reason the margin wasn't even wider in the second half was down to luck and Uğurcan. Liverpool players missed far too many chances. They could have scored even more.

Some of the problems with team with much expensive and experience players is that, once there is a problem with the officiating team like the coach or manager, the efforts of the players won't be seen no matter what since at that time, players will get misdirected instructions that hinder them from getting results in matches, so that is what happened to Galantasarys tonight and Liverpool tok a good advantage of the situation.

Liverpool completely deserved to win. Galatasaray had virtually no scoring opportunities throughout the 90 minutes. Goalkeeper Uğurcan saved one penalty and had 11 other saves overall. If we had seen a poor goalkeeping performance, we might have even seen a historic scoreline in this match. Uğurcan was clearly Galatasaray's best player. Liverpool secured a comfortable victory, and Arne Slot will remain in his starting position for a few more weeks.

It feels like I’m really unlucky. Whenever I don’t have money to place a bet, that’s when all my over 3.5 goal picks in the UCL actually hit.

I think the only thing that is surprising is the number of goals conceded here by Newcastle after starting well to comeback but we can't ignore the fact that in the moment of lapses Barcelona are top teams with their attacking prowess and that's what we saw tonight.

I don’t think people are surprised that Barcelona won the match, but the most surprising part is the numbers of goals which they scored in the match. I don’t know what happened to Newcastle in the second half of the match, they played average football in the first half of the match, and they were able to score two goals in the first half of the match, but their performance was terrible in the second half of the match.

Honestly Newcastle were just humiliated in the match, and I never expected them to concede so many goals in the match, 7 goals is so much. Congrats to Barcelona they have been promoted to the next round of the champions league after successfully humiliating Newcastle today.

We are saying the same thing. Barcelona winning is what was expected but what was shocking was the number of goals conceded by Newcastle.

They were trashed away at Camp Nou. When top teams are given opportunity those with better attacking prowess will capitalise on it better to get as many goals they can,we experienced it tonight in this game and last night in the game between Chelsea and PSG.

Barcelona made a statement today and I feel very very proud of them, before the game started, I had mentioned it that playing at home for Barcelona is such an advantage that i do not see Newcastle having any form of advantage and from the first half of the game, Barcelona did not fail to prove me right. Newcastle probably were just lucky in the first leg and now they had the real challenge to face and they could not survive it.

I commend the Liverpool squad's performance against Galatasaray at Anfield.
I think Mohamed Salah's good form is over. He's no longer worthy of being the mainstay, but Mo Salah's role has shifted to Szoboszlai during Klopp's time.

Liverpool played well today, they impressed me with their performance in today’s match, and they were able to get a win in the match. Liverpool scored 4 goals in the match and Galatasaray couldn’t even get any goal in the second leg of the match.

Galatasaray will have to work on their defense, they have a very poor defense which is why most people knew they not going to go in the champions league, most people were surprised that they defeated Liverpool in the first leg, but they couldn’t repeat the same thing in the second leg of the match.

Sallah performance has dropped so well this season, sallah is really a legend in Liverpool, but his performance has been poor this season, and the best thing which sallah is suppose to do now is just to move to a league which is less competitive like Saudi league, or he should just hang his boot. Sallah has tried for Liverpool, but he is already getting old, so he needs to rest.

I don't know what happened to Newcastle in the second half that they lost their bearing to the point of conceding four goals without replying back any. The second half was in a big favor for Barcelona as they were in full charge of the game and got four goals easily. This is a big win for Barcelona at home because they dismantled Newcastle.

Or we can say that Barcelona approached the match with a more aggressive and tactical team this time, scoring such huge amounts of goals combined, this is one of the matches in the Champions League with the highest amount of goals scored, and Newcastle was overwhelmed tonight.

This is one the best game my team has played this season. At first I was somehow scared with the way we played the first half, because whenever we score Newcastle they always equalizes. That alone out little fear. What gave us more advantage was our home fans who where constantly singing their voices out and I feel that's what gave the players motivation. What I noticed in the first half about the Newcastle players was that they used all their energy to play intense ball the first whilst Barcelona players where playing it cool. That's what affected them in the second half, where they looked tired and lose. 7-2 was really surprising kudos to Raphina, Lewandoski, Lamine, Ferran to score and also the rest of them who contributed.

The most important match today is the Barcelona vs Newcastle match. The first leg match was Newcastle's home match. Barcelona did not play as well as expected in England and was not able to win. The match was drawn 1-1.

But in today's match, Barcelona is undoubtedly the favorite. The match will be held at Camp Nou. Barcelona is in good form and they are even stronger in home matches. Barcelona has been able to perform exceptionally well in the last few home matches. So it can be expected that Barcelona players will continue this trend today as well. Hansi Flick is very serious about the Champions League. They will try their best to win.

This could be the shocker for today is care is not taken, in the reverse fixture Barcelona didn't play like how they normally used to play in the La Liga and I know the competition is different but Barcelona was just running around like they couldn't find the ball and hang onto it for long all thanks to how Newcastle handled the game. This is making it the second EPL team that made Barcelona look small in as much as they are seen as the favorite and also the side who always dominate the game they play in the champions league. I'd be banking on Newcastle to continue with how they did in the first leg even cause more harm and also (it could be) the first team to beat Barcelona since they started using their new stadium. If Flick continue with this high line in today's game then I expect Newcastle to score more than one goal that's if they utilize their chances, nothing big in playing Barcelona and I always say any team that can't get at least 1 goal against Barcelona in any competition is a failed team so expect Newcastle to spoil the party for Barcelona fans, a 1-1 draw is an open game for both teams.

In the first half both teams created numerous scoring opportunities, where it indicating that they had stepped up the pace of their attacks. Barcelona didn’t seem to put much pressure on their opponents. Newcastle worked very hard to match Barcelona’s style of play, where they always managing to score an equalizer whenever Barcelona tried to take the lead. The final outcome of this match is truly hard to predict. But I think the second half will determine the winner this time. And I think the winner will be the team that strengthens its defense more effectively in the second half. If Newcastle can strengthen their defense even further then I’m confident they’ll be able to eliminate Barcelona. But if Barcelona manages to do so Barcelona will undoubtedly be the winners. Barcelona’s 3-2 lead in the first half gives them an advantage to focus more on their defense in the 2nd half. But anything can happen in the second half. So let’s see how the second half unfolds.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they comfortably beat Galatasaray, scoring three goals in about 15 minutes. I don't know what went wrong for Galatasaray, but as a team they were in terrible shape. They were helpless throughout the match and couldn't create an alternative to defeat.

Agree. Although I had bet on barcelona to win , I still thought the match would be competitive. Newcastle were  able to perform quite well  in the first leg match. They were able to build a strong defense against barcelona.

But today's match  was completely one-sided. Barcelona scored  7 goals. This is the most goals in any match in the round of 16. There is no doubt that Barcelona performed outstandingly. Newcastle players tried to defend. They completely failed. At the same time, they were able to  make several strong attacks. As a result, newcastle were able to score two goals. Everyone was impressed by barcelona's performance in this match.

Noa Lang has a serious problem with his finger. It's almost severed. He'll undergo surgery in a hospital in England. The question is: what kind of punishment or sanctions will UEFA impose on Liverpool in this situation? How could a player's finger get injured like this in such a major competition? Liverpool played very well in this match. They definitely  deserved to win. But I thought I would see a better performance from Galatasaray. Even though they played well in the home match, the team performed atrociously in this  match.

Galatasaray's performance was very boring. Looking at their gameplay, I do not think they are willing to win the match at all. They did not make any attempt to score goals. The team was able to take only  2 shots in the entire match. Galatasaray conceded a goal in just 25 minutes. Naturally , they should have tried to equalize the match. But even after conceding a goal, they played defensively. And in the 20th minute of the second half, they conceded 3 more goals. The team faced a humiliating defeat of 4-0 .

By looking at the fixtures, I can point out the 3 teams that will qualify to the next round. The only match I'm having difficulty to figure out who will qualify is that of Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich, if not the rest are pretty much easy to predict. Although I understand that sometimes football don't go as we expect, but that's why the predictions are there to be made. Arsenal is expected to qualify in a two legged match with sporting. Barcelona now have a chance to repay Atletico Madrid for the Copa del ray upset. While I expect PSG to see off Liverpool. I can make do with anyone that qualify from the Madrid and Bayern match.

So far, the big teams have all qualified convincingly even with large aggregate wins. There are now only eight teams left in the UCL. It's difficult to predict the match on the left PSG vs Liverpool. Perhaps PSG with their current in-form form are favored over Liverpool especially since Liverpool hasn't fully stabilized. The most intriguing match is Madrid vs Bayern a match that's difficult to predict because both teams have equal mentality in the UCL.

On the right, it's also interesting to see if Sporting can surprise Arsenal and whether Atletico Madrid can repeat the same result as in the Copa del Rey. However, considering Barcelona current form, Barcelona can defeat Atletico Madrid. In their match against Newcastle they had a worrying first half, but in the second half Barcelona turned into a fierce force full of confidence and they managed to defeat Newcastle 7-2. Barcelona under Flick is truly different and it would be exciting to meet Arsenal in the semifinals.

I am both alarmed and amazed at that scoreline. Didn’t know Barcelona could deliver this kind of score against Newcastle. From the first leg, Newcastle already proved themselves to be Barcelona’s match and they were at it yet again today. Having a response to any goal Barcelona scores until the Trippier’s penalty. That was a goal scoring opportunity though and so, it had to be given and Yamal takes it yet again and the second half was history. Not a way Newcastle would have liked to go for sure but Barcelona handed it to them.

Galatasaray wasn’t great in the first match either, but they weren’t as bad as they were in this match. In the first match, the two teams were equal on the field. However, in this match, Galatasaray was completely ineffective against Liverpool.

Uğurcan Çakır conceded four goals tonight, but he could have let in even more. He saved a penalty and several clear scoring opportunities. In my opinion, he was the best player on the field for Galatasaray. For Liverpool, Konate and Salah played well. Konate stopped Barış Alper in defense. Salah wasn’t very effective, but he made a fantastic assist on Liverpool’s second goal. Also, the goal he scored was beautiful. The Liverpool fans gave him a standing ovation as he left the field.
