Before the match, I was actually more confident in Barcelona. This isn't because they won,but their composition is better than Newcastle's. Almost every football fan won't be surprised at the victory that Barcelona had over Newcastle because they're a better team than Newcastle. This scoreline actually appears to be  so incredible but we saw things worse. PSG has the best scoreline for me against Chelsea on aggregate. Tottenham Hotspur succeeded in beating Athletical Madrid but still couldn't qualify. In this stage, 3 England teams have gone and we're left with Arsenal and Liverpool.

I don't like the pairing of real Madrid and Bayern Munich in this stage, this was supposed to be the final game to spice up the tournament. E eliminating one of them now will give arsenal an express opportunity to get to final. I would predict real Madrid to beat Bayern Munich and possibly go on to win the champions League.

Galatasaray fell for the trick and won the first leg. This gave Liverpool a more reason to get very prepared for them at anfield. It was a total destruction from Liverpool sweeping in a whooping 4 goals into the visitors net. Galatasaray had only one shot on target against Liverpool's 16 shots on target, thanks goodness for Cakir who received all the shots, it could have been very worse.

I wasn't really surprised by the emphatic scoreline because Galatasaray is not on the same level with Liverpool, though things would have been a lot different if victor osimhen was active in the game because the threat he pose at Liverpool goal wouldn't have made Liverpool to attack freely as they did in the second half, but due to the arm injury victor osimhen suffered in the game early on, he was unable to play, and was later removed during the break for his injury not to get worse.

But to be honest, Liverpool really gave in a fine performance in the second half of this game because the goal would have been even more, if not for the top class performance of the goalkeeper of Galatasaray, so a big congratulations to Liverpool for making it to the quarter finals of the competition where they will be facing PSG next.

Not a surprise, seeing Liverpool advance to the next stage of the UCL. Based on history, English teams can handle Turkish teams well. Even when they have a hard time playing away in Turkey, in the end, it’s the English team that advances to the next stage.

The quarter final looks promising. 3 teams came from the play-off, 3 teams from the top 3 in the UCL table, and Sporting CP and Barcelona, which showed us superb play in the second leg.

Respect to Sporting CP and Atletico Madrid, but I believe most of you here, including me, think that the other 6 clubs are more likely to win the UCL this year. For me, the probability of these 6 teams winning the UCL is still equal.

Another important note, there is no Italian team in the quarter final this year.

After watching some of the English teams being eliminated in the round of 16 it shows that even if they allow the EPL to produce 8 teams in the champions league they're still going to drop before the quarter finals.

This is a different season in the EPL after qualifing for the champions league last season they became inconsistent this season, Arsenal is only consistent club in the league that is performing well, there are seasons that 4 EPL clubs qualify to the semi final so if like 3 or 4 of the EPL clubs didn't qualify for the quarter final doesn't still mean that EPL is a weak league atleast 2 EPL clubs qualify apart from the laliga that also has 2 club that qualify other league only came out 1 club, i believe that next season the EPL clubs won't perform this bad in the uefa champions league.

I don't know what's wrong with EPL clubs this season. Their performance have been very low and most of them have been knocked out in the round of 16 this season. Chelsea, Tottehem Hotspur, Manchester City and Newcastle United are all eliminated. The only two EPL side remaining is Arsenal and Liverpool. We believe they can be able to deliver and reach the crucial phase of the UCL this season.

This season have been really one of the most competitive one for everyone because none of their oppositions is relenting, rather we're watching sides raising and elevating to the next level of the game. This is what the fans love to see, fierce competitive race among elite oppositions.

On a normal level, Liverpool and Galatarsary are not on the same level, but a decline in form saw them rub shoulders even in the first leg, truly I was very impressed watching them yesterday as they took control and dominance of the match and it really made them, their fans and their coach very happy. Galatasaray was really surprised at the performance they met yesterday and they must have thought they're playing a different team than they did at home.

My only disappointment with yesterday's match was with Newcastle as they allowed Barcelona bully them so much, it was actually a very shameful outing for them at camp nou. People who had some faith in them were really disappointed.
